i am 16 am i havnt gotten out into the world much because of covid but before covid i did go hicking and biking, watching videos like this give me a hope that i can get back into the world and nature, it calls me and i just love ti see how it inspired others the same as it does me.
I turned 53 this year. When I was 12, my cousin and his wife started taking me camping in backcountry areas. We always packed out all the trash we found. I've continued that as they have. I've always taught that principle as a price of admission to those who would listen. It's wonderful to see you guys doing this. In fact, you're some of my favorite people, and we have not even met. Awesome! Thank you!
Abigail and Seth - wow you are my hero’s!! Just saw your movie tonight at a bike movie festival. Made me want to go riding, and pick up trash! I came home and watched your movie again.! You’ve opened my eyes that I need to get off my butt, and just do it.
We need more people like you guys. Where I live even young people are trashing the river where I go swimming in summer time. Average people really are without consciousness
December 2021, Just saw this video this morning and I was immediately motivated to go pick up trash! Went to the closest city walking path and in less than two hours I picked up 6 shopping bags of trash and aluminum cans. Thanks for the kick in the pants enthusiasm! 🍀
Thank you. You are special friends to those of us who love the wilderness. Tried not to leave any litter during my 3300 mile bicycle trek, from Dayton, OH to LaPush, WA; June to Aug., 1964
I was verklempt throughout this film. The selfless act, the sacrifice, the perseverance... just amazing. I wish more people were considerate of their environment.
Thanks for your work. I do the same every few months with bicycle and wagon in 1/2 mile around my small neighborhood. 60 gallons (230 liters) of trash and recyclables (glass, metal, plastic) every time. I feel your laments. Could not get any of my ex's interested to help, so one more thank-you for Abby.
Guys thank you so much for protecting this great land, almost in all the parks i go I pick up other people's garbage, and its a shame, that this has been going on for such a long time, I just hope one day that those people realize what they are going.. Keep up the great videos
One of the most incredible journeys I have ever watched. I want so badly to do something like this. For the 24 people who disliked this video, you all need a reality check
Quite a story! Congratulations on an awesome not only personal journey but one that did a part in making the planet a better place. You two show great empathy, spirt and humanity.
you are seriusly the best biking peaple along the road!! you´re so inspiring the youre doing this for the environment and correcting people´s bad behaviour! all love to you guys!
I just want to thank you for such a inspirational journey. What you do and did to protect the environment and show us the beauty of this country that could fast disappear if we aren’t better stewards of our national treasure.
That's one of the coolest films I've ever seen. Really amazing ride in and of itself, and leaving cleanliness and inspiration in your wake only adds to the awesomeness. Beautifully shot, great interview pieces. Keep up the amazing work
Thankyou for doing something so simple and yet so important for the environment and for highlighting mans disregard for nature , it’s shame on all of us ... we all live in one home 🏡 it’s called earth 🌏 ... let’s all try and look after it ...well done for this video 👍👏🏻👍👏🏻👍👏🏻👍👏🏻👍👏🏻👍👏🏻👍👏🏻
Back in 2011 when I was trail canyon running I would pick up trash on the way home too...some people thought I was nuts for doing so, but they didn't get the whole meaning and my motive of doing so.
Awesome ! A few friends and I go hiking every weekend with garbage bags. It's heartbreaking to see the amount of trash along serene forest trails. I can't understand why people look at us like we are the crazy ones! How can you look at nature and think oh yeah, here's a good place for my trash.
It's been a big problem amid backpackers in my country. There are so many of them litter on the place they call it the most beautiful place they visit. Our mountains and trails.
Perspective is an amazing thing. The applause as the collected weight of trash cleaned from The greenway, then there’s me.... so disappointed in humanity.
I swear to God people are pigs. Absolute pigs. There was one time I stopped at the stop light equal to a "lady" who just pulled out the last cigarette out of the pack.... we both had our windows open with beautiful spring weather outside. She lit up her cigeratte and looking to side at me threw the empty cigarette pack out her left driver window. She saw me see her do it and she still did it. No shame. ...so I got out of the car, kindly walked over to pick up the cigarette pack that she threw to the side of the road and politely handed it to her saying: "I believe you accidentally dropped this, maybe? ...she was stunned...but she didn't quite understand my point because she threw it out again as soon as I handed it to her. That was a rather sad moment for humanity.
should have filmed it, filmed her license plate, then turned the video in to the cops, or posted it online with all of her info or something. yeah, she can do what she wants, but she needs to know the consequences of the paths she chooses. if she was just a B*tch, or if she was just having a bad day, doesn't matter. Karma is a bigger B*tch. Even if you didn't do it, her consequences would come around eventually, even if it is her own body that breaks down from her bad life decisions.
If you think people are pigs... come to Williams Oregon where the dope growers have invaded absolutely destroying a community with their trash smell, disregard of traffic and other laws, noise, mail theft , etc., home invasion etc.. trash? trash? try 2 car doors a fender, 2 bbqs, 2 toilets, sink, 14 t ires and assorted household garbage, all dumped on my property AFTER legaization" of dope growing. People are pigs.
Thank you. An inspiration that has me thinking of how I can contribute. I have an idea and it involves my grand children. Hey, btw, do you have a vehicle where somebody could send a little money to help fund?
wtf, I do things like this (river cleanups, beach cleanups), I share with people who have less instead of take from, I physically protect those weaker (at harm tpo myself sometimes) and I try to provide as best I can for my wife and child. BUT I've been hit by cars on my bike 5 times now. The last one broke some bones in my back, some ribs, caused internal bleeding to where they almost removed a couple organs. Oh and weeks of pain, so far, probably will be months so far. And I got fired for missing work (I called in!) the day after I got hit too. I guess there is no thing as Karma and I'm okay with that, but really, what the heck IS going on.

Wow. Excellent work. I am renewing my trash collection on every ride, walk and paddle.
We are pioneers guys! Hearing the little voice of Mother Earth saying "Thank you" is worth every little piece of litter we pick up!
Quite a story! Congratulations on an awesome not only personal journey but one that did a part in making the planet a better place. You two show great empathy, spirt and humanity.

Seems half of humanity suck ass. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misanthropy
She DID understand your point when she threw it back on the ground. She was making a point to you which you didn't get.

I commend you sir. A lot of folks just don't care about anything. it's a sad shame
