Bikepacking through South America Part 1 of 2

- Опубликовано: 2 май 2018
- Part 1 of 2, this is the story of our journey through South America.
Our expedition was completely unsupported; we carried on our bikes all we needed to survive in varied, and often remote terrain.
Part 1 sees the team getting to know each other and adapting to life on the road. The majority of the expedition members were not seasoned bikers, lessons were learnt quickly as we journeyed south along the shores of lake Titicaca in Peru, then on to Bolivia.
Film kit used;
Cameras,
Panasonic Lumix G80
Canon G7X Mk II
GoPro HERO 3
Sound,
Rode Video Mic GO
Zoom H1
This film has been completely self-funded and is not a promotion for any brand.
Music
Shine again - Chris Bussey, Craig Bussy
Reiki Zen Meditation - Ruhan Kapoor
Wheels On Dust - Charles Jefferson
123 Hope - Tom Rosenthal

I have trouble finding any 3 of my friends to go to a movie with me. To find 3 guys to pedal around a continent? Wow, good job man! :) :)
Randy Jorgensen thank you. Great to have such awesome feedback.
Randy Jorgensen well put Randy. I sympathize with you.
Taken me almost three years to arrange a 60 mile ride with two friends... Coming up in October :-)
Screw it, Go solo and you’ll find friends along the way 😉!
Randy Jorgensen wow would love to participate in a movie like that!
Great movie, thanks for making the time and sharing this experience with us!
Oh my gosh, what a journey! Bravo! Thanks for sharing
Well done! A great trip, sweet touring kit, nice filming, and great editing.
Brings back memories of my recent bike packing trip through the mountain regions of South Africa and Lesotho.
this is real amazing adventure 😎😘😘love it,thanks for this amazing video
Muy bueno!!! Qué travesía se mandaron... Y muy graciosa la imagen de "homeless" en Bolivia... Jaja... gracias por las imágenes!!
What an awesome experience, THANK YOU for sharing.
My wife and I spent 3 months in the early '70's, traveling thru Columbia and Ecuador, with a specially modified hang glider I could carry in a backpack. Local buses were our primary mode of transport. Back then, the dangerous drivers, the bus drivers especially, and the steep and non guard railed primitive roads, made for some exciting trips! If we were face to face I'd high five you as I'm sure you have some stories to tell about the drivers. Great friendly people, just pretty insane when they get behind the wheel.
Haha it's still the same with he drivers.
I love this so much! You guys inspire me a lot!
Great to see your team spirit. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure videos.
Amazing video and trip guys no words, really inspiring and a goal in life to do!!
That is cool man... awesome riding
I really love to ride bikes going long distance
There is something magical in riding bikes ,even when your legs are aching so bad from riding long distances you still put your feet to the pedal like nothing's wrong
I used to travel long distances with my friends but now i feel like the whole damn world is forcing me to ride motorcycles and cars
To them its like bikes are for kids
But watching this makes me to go chase my dreams
Thank you .....
Already liked before I even watched . That 's a dream trip!!!

(...I was joking...but now the sales pitch because I wasn't really joking...just to unashamedly sell myself: I speak fluent Spanish, French and Italian and have done thousands of kilometres of cycling through different countries in the last few years...get me on the next ride for your own bloody good! hahaha...
Struggle is real 🔥
Beautiful views ❤️
We liked it 👍
Mate.. this is awesome. What an adventure!
Thank you bud. It was an epic trip with a great team.
Amazing..
Great, hi from Bogota - Colombia
awesome!!!
I am impressed that unseasoned bikers tackled this trip. Thanks for the demonstration of why panniers are fading out and frame bags are becoming more popular for bumpy rides. Traveler's diarrhea is the worst! I came home from a trip with a case and even 'normal' travel in airplanes and busses is challenging. I can't imagine trying to pedal in such a state of misery!
Wasabi Wei I think the panniers were mostly held together by tape and zip ties in the end. Thanks for the support.
Awesome, thanks guys
Canal perfeito de aventura, muito show! Da hora!
Really nice, thanks for the vid!
Awesome Vlog mate.
But... where is James May? I could have imagined him on such an adventure. I like James May.
Not that “James May” Bro...😅

Well done boys getting to see a bit of life. Please don't make this the only riding you do there's so much to see and be involved in, people to meet and much to learn. Good wishes
Bravo pour ce voyage en velo j'ai beaucoup apprécié à bientôt merci beaucoup
Love it
Very Inspirational. I can’t even service my bike properly😂. Well done guys.
Felicidades, muy lindo todo.
Bravo guys, great "team sprit" I assume 😊
You have done well guys
what a wonderful places!
What I find most interesting here is the basic idea of bike-packing in a group bigger than the usual couple. Six participants like here, and women could be included, must enable a great rationalization of resources, "division of labor" in every sense, and a lot of weight saving. It also resolves a big problem: security. Lovable, original, cheers! BTW (!) James May tremendous job !
Sick trip guys!
Thanks mate love it
Woah. Super rad footage
Muy buena travesía, voy a documentar mis paseos de Ecuador, hermoso
