I enjoy watching your food prep as well. I would be curious to see a “what I eat in a day” video. I have a busy schedule, and I would really like to cut out processed foods from my diet, and as much from my family’s as I can so I’m looking for basic whole food recipes I could prepare and ways to incorporate this diet into my hectic lifestyle.
@@B.Robinson19 it only takes a few hours once a week. I know that sounds like a lot but start small!!! Maybe first you prep some snacks, then you try to do breakfast, then proteins…. Etc. It’s so amazing to be able to go “oh no! I’m so busy today, it’s 4:30, everyone’s hungry……” and pull out a turkey Shepards pie from 2 months ago and have a healthy meal ready. Or open your freezer to see you prepared chicken the day you brought it home by boiling it and shredding… chop a tomato and lettuce or make a cabbage slaw (good the jngteidwnfs in the dressing - you have them!), throw it on a piece of bread with some frozen veg and fruit and you have a really healthy meal quick. You got this! Frim one mom to another! Start small and keep trying. Keep a list of things that work so when you’re grocery shopping and making your list and feel lost or brain dead you can just throw some favs in and know you’re set. My last tip: if you make ANYTHING. That can be frozen (especially preassembled) MAKE DIUBLE! Soup, pasta bakes, lasagne, enchiladas, curry, all meats, etc make double and you’ll thank yourself later. Wether it’s that week or in a few months
What a wonderful video, Randi! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and for sharing so many wonderful tips with us! I’ve learned so much from watching you, and your videos are so calming and enjoyable! Also, I thought it was so cute at the end of the video how there was one muffin that didn’t fit (I can guess that didn’t last very long 😋). Thanks again for all you do! 😃👍
I actually use kale stems in my smoothies. Tons of nutrients and the Vitamix can grind rocks so it has no problem with stems, whole kiwis or clementines cut in half.
Love watching your meal prep videos! My doctor wants me to follow a mediterranean diet and I see how you eat is very much the same with exception of a few foods. For sure I am going to try those muffins! Do you have a cookbook for some of your recipes? My problem is finding enough variety for breakfast ideas. I cannot do intermittent fasting as it does not work well for me. Thank you for all you do! I am so very glad I found your channel. Randi, you are the best!
Just found your channel & I love it! When pre-mixing your dry ingredients for your smoothies, do you find that all ingredients can be mixed & stored or have any not stored well mixed together? TIA!
Hit Sherry! Thank you! 😀 That's a something I never considered, but I haven't had a problem storing them mixed together. I do go through them pretty quickly. I only make enough for a week or two at time. A higher storage temperature could effect the ingredients though. ❤️🌺
Hi! We have KitchenAid appliance in the kitchen. I'm not sure what model it is. The appliances are over 10 years old, so it's not likely they make this exact model anymore.
Your videos are so motivating! I’m looking for the ingredient amounts for your protein powder smoothies. Could you please direct me to the video for that, or provide the list & amounts? I know there are tons of recipes out there, but yours have several ingredients that I like. Thanks for your time!

Just found your channel and really enjoyed this video. Will be going back to watch more of your content. Question regarding those delicious looking muffins...I notice the recipe is for a loaf bread. Did you bake the muffins for the same amount of time as the bread in the recipe (50-60 minutes) or did you decrease the time?
I just subscribed. Really enjoying your videos. Would you please link your wooden handled sink brush? I am sure you have already done so, but I guess I missed it. Thank you

Question. Have you ever made a large container of your protein powder mixture? I'm wondering if I could do that and just know to take 1 cup or 1/2 a cup (whatever the serving size is). I wasn't sure if the powders behave or not.
That's a good question...I would worry that it wouldn't mix together evenly. 🧐 I think the heavier ingredients would tend to rise to the top. Plus, I'm not sure how long the mix would last, so I only prep enough for a week or two. But it would last longer in the fridge.
I love love your channel, just came across it, definitely a subscriber. One of the hardest things for me is prepping, my energy batteries runs out very quickly. however I am doing my best to eat healthier! I know is a way to go. I’ve heard and read that it’s the sodium in the baking soda that cleans the produce, so I’m wondering if salt water would do the same thing but cheaper? 🤷♀️
Hi Lynnette! Baking soda is pretty cheap, but I’ve read that 10% salt solution is effective for cleaning produce. I don’t use “veggie washes.” I avoid using anything that I wouldn’t put directly on my dinner plate.
I put mine in the fridge. if you put onions in the fridge they don't send out that enzyme that causes you to tear uo when cutting. and I just don't like room temp apples

Hi Mary! It's best to keep them in a cool and dark location. But our pantry is in the garage. I've had good luck with them in the fridge. 🤷🏼♀️
That's definitely a bonus! 🥰
It depends on one’s circumstances, some people live in areas where normal room temperatures are quite high. Food spoils quickly if not refrigerated.
I have never kept apples on the counter. A cold crisp apple tastes better than room temp. I think your "do not" is actually "i prefer"
