So i basically just stepped on it too hard i guess n it started smoking then when i checked that same hose was likw ripped off n there was liqoud spilt all over. Is this the same problem?

Mine broke the same way, 18yr old rotted plastic. Happened to me while driving far away from any parts store. The coolant drained from the tank so I needed to tow it over 100 miles. Do you know what other plastic connectors there are - I want to replace them all to prevent another disaster.
Ethan, both are heater hoses, one runs to the heater core, the other is the return hose. Should be the same process to replace either hose (or both if you choose).
Looks like you're using generic hardware store hose clamps? Auto manufacturers stopped using those because they dont apply even pressure, don't expand and contract evenly with the heating and cooling cycles of the engine. So after a while it crushes the hose. Then it will appear loose. Then eventually it will leak or cut right through the hose. Or damage plastic. The constant pressure clamps are good. Not a problem
Good man always nice to have the right tool. I just had to replace them dame plastic quick connects on my sister's Yukon. Really smart on gm behave NOT lol. Nothing quick about them

Sonia, sounds like your hose failure was more spectacular. Mine was simply leaking, but in either case sounds like you need a new heater hose.
wish you would have shown as best as you could the cutting away of the tab retaining parts because i have the same issue

Sounds like someone already bypassed your heater core. Like;y because it was leaking.
