They're horrible vehicles. This V8 swap turns it into a legitimately fast car because it hardly weighs anything and that engine probably puts out 3 times the horsepower the stock 4 cylinder did. An official deathtrap.
My 2005 neon se lasted five years after i bought it in 2017. It was manual trans with 2.0 4 cyl. The timing belt snapped at 185,000 miles. I decided it wasn't worth pulling the motor.
I've had 6 of those cars 2 Plymouth neons 4 dodge neons yes unreliable crap period unless this kinda swaps lol. Also dodge and Plymouth neons sat up 2 high in rear and always had issues with rear wanting 2 be sideways. Very bad on hydroplaning.
dang, Id love the rip all the crazy messy vaccuum lines & cluttered wiring from under the hood & put a healthy V6 in mine. So much more rliable imo. Yours is killer but a bit much for daily driver, lota fun but Id like a good V6 if I know what would fit.
Put that motor in that white suburban in the background if it's 4x4 that would be awsome with a lift and that motor swap out the neon in it and some axel upgrades and suspension that motor sounds good
if you ever wanna sell that bezel where the radio should be and those hvac nobs let me know lol amazing work on this car tho if it was quiet it would make a hell of a sleeper
This car was sold in the same showrooms as the Viper. A Neon with a Viper V10 would've been amazing. How about a Neon with a Hemi? Hell, even a 90s Magnum V8 would've been at least fitting. But you chose a Chevy 350 motor. They're literally in every custom car, it's boring.

Do a Chevy 3800 or do a ford 3.8 v6 that came in ford mustangs their reliable and make around 260hp which is plenty in small 4 door car

Just got a let you know that clear plastic fuel filter will get a hole and catch fire on a long highway drive it will get too hot and melt

Super awesome build but I'd ditch that fan for an electric fan setup. it sounds really annoying and weak and also is a power suck.
It does have electric fans has two pusher fans on the front of the radiator
