South Eastern PA here. I got an 04 sxt almost 3 years ago. SOHC 5 speed manual. Bought at 80k mi. It was garage kept and had barely no surface rust under. That one is some how so much better. Only thing rusting on mine is rocker panels and low inner rear fender. Good shit dude.

I remember my old na build and that thing was a blast gutted think it made 240ish had motorcycle carbs thing was a blast wish I never sold it. Just bought a acr 20g car to try and have it back in a way lol
Can you give me some pointers on getting my mini stock hood to stay down cause pins keep popping out..also, how to get more power. I'm running in 2nd not 3rd? TIA
I'm curious what it would do if you unplugged the speed sensor and forced converter lockup in 3rd? You may run out of MPH depending on what the dyno can go to and which final gear it is. 🤔
Just installed a fuel regulator too replace the factory fuel damper but ran into a problem. I have no idea what the idle psi should be, I'm sure 65psi is way too high any pointers on what it should be?
@@YostBuilt its one of my favorite colors. I remember hears ago a guy had an aqua with a purple hood trunk and I think roof. It looked like aqua fresh toothpaste. It was sweet

the colour is bright jade satin metallic, its the colour of my neon too
i always like these tests. When my DOHC had an exhaust leak right after the header, it felt like it lost some mid range power
I have that same neon 97 but mine is a DOHC
I have this exact car and I have hit 115 on the highway in East Texas

Not too awful considering it's 23 years old and working with a slushbox transmission.
The 5 speed nyg only made 105 with its 5 speed. So 93 vs 105 for auto vs 5 speed

Dyno will go 200 mph
I was keeping it safe due to dry rot tires and unknown motor
SOHC (2.89?) will be close to 200 in 3rd, if not over. DOHC (3.2x?) should make it. :)

We are racing a 04 neon auto.. right now is bone stock . Cut muffler and put K&N filter in.. now looking for more speed
