Snapdragon stabilisation 🏆 Was actually hard to see how different the stabilisation was as the sun was so bright in the day but definitely a huge win there for the SD. Apologies for the sound levels in the day video. It was extremely windy as you can hear. Let me know what you thoughts are down below! Overall I'm happy with both, Exynos needs big improvements on its stabilisation still (both back/front cameras) but overall both phones are pretty good in these early firmware versions. The Exynos is more true to colour during the day and the Snapdragon at night. You can see the difference during the day if you pause at 03:28 the wall and grass are the correct colour on the Exynos but things are more washed out on the Snapdragon. If you pause at 04:02 you can see another example of the SD being washed out the 'mosaic' style wall of the building (and the outdoor wall lamp) looks correct on the Exynos and looks incorrect on the SD. Also at this part you can see that the SD grass is just a blur whereas the Exynos still has detail. Night mode at 15:49 the SD colour is more realistic but there's actually not a huge amount in it. At 17:35 the book on the chair is the correct colour on the SD.
Are you a left or right hand? You're holding the SD1 in the right hand. If I take my in my left hand then is does a pour job, but if I got in my main hand Right then it is so much better.
So when it comes to stabilizing videos, the thing is clear. I find both very similar in photos. The Exynos is better with the 10x zoom. Beide haben vor und Nachteile.
I've the Exynos version. I like it. First Exynos was bashed. But now: Better battery life at the Exynos! Nearly same Performance (I don't mind, both are fast). And now, I prefer the more colored videos of the exynos, even if stabilisation is not as good as on the snapdragon (I'm sure they fix it too). BTW I tested Idle drain at night (BT & GPS & AOD off, wlan on) got ~0.65%/h. Did it 2 times for 10h and 8h.
Yeah it's fair to say now the differences were majorly overexaggerated. For me the big way Snap wins is due to optimization with app. I.e higher graphic settings and options. But Samsung is showing developers how to program for its Xclipse 920 GPU this week at GDC so hopefully some big players will start to optimize for RDNA2 mobile.
I also prefer the colours in the Exynos at the moment so I'm with you there. I'm sure stabilisation will be fixed in the next update or two 👍 Thanks for sharing your idle drain too, very good to know 😎
Yeah the Snapdragon will always have that over its competitors (at least for the next few years). Who knows what the future might hold now AMD have joined the party. I didn't know about that for GDC so really looking forward to see what comes out of it. As with desktop CPUs the competition between AMD and Intel is always fierce - it always swaps around between generations as to which is better so it is possible we'll see something similar in the mobile market 👍 Whether that'd actually happen is yet to be seen but competition is definitely a good thing to keep manufacturers on their toes

Thank you for your reviews I would like to look at the photos from both phones in detail myself. Is it possible that those who are uploaded somewhere in the video in full resolution and the data available to us link to them? I would like to zoom in on them at home on a PC and look at them in detail. It seems to me that SD is redrawn, more detailed than Exynos. You could also take a test of the energy consumed during your photo and video testing with this test. You would both charge your phones to 100%, and you would both cut the plane, and at the end of the photo and video test, you would tell us how much power the phone used. In my opinion, Snapdragon has always been better. I had a s20FE 5G version that had SD and the photos were beautifully detailed and redrawn ...
Interesting Exynos how specific these differences are. The Grass at daytime looks better with the Exynos, same with the Clouds. Exynos just seems to have more contrast. The Snapdragon has more true color and better stabilization in some situations but the blacks doesn't really look black. Im my opinion the differences are so tiny that it doesn't matter. Both cameras have some things i prefer and some i dislike but luckily the camera is not something i depend my decision on. I care for the S pen, big and good display (so the s pen makes sense), good overall processing speed and a decent battery.

The stabilization and rolling shutter of the Exynos are atrocious, it looks like a 200€ smartphone 🤦🏽♂️. The worst is this excessive contrast on the Exynos to give an impression of sharpness. The only slightly positive thing about the Exynos is the daytime exposure, otherwise for everything else, even an S20+ does better. The Exynos and the Snapdragon are clearly different, they are clearly not the same smartphone.
@LayLow20 nope, check out anyone's videos comparing the two... SD produced much better video in low light, has better stabilisation and more realistic colours.
Hi Android Addicts can you please make a video comparison of 60hz vs 120hz on s22 ultra because they says that it has ltpo technology. Does it really makes a different in terms of battery life. 🙏🏽
Regarding battery life it does indeed help - ever since the ability to set the refresh rate on the S20 series it's been widely proven that it does save battery life. The beauty of having an adaptive refresh rate is it'll only go up to 120Hz at certain times which is how it should be - if you're reading a static web page of text there's no need for it to be running at 120Hz so it can site there at a much lower rate which saves power.
Yes you're right. But the thing that bother me is when you set the power saving mode on then 120hz is automatically disabled and can't be turned on manually. So it means that it's consuming more battery than the static 60hz right ? Then, they lied to us
@@AndroidAddicts When I test stabilization it depends on what hand I use, especially when walking, but you might not have that issue. Anaway, my own experience with 22u after the updates: 4k30 10x Exynos is crazy stable, so if SD is even more stable it is kind of overkill. Absolutely no FOMO.
My 22 Ultra Exynos Version has veeeery bad Hdr colours in specific lighting. Without hdr it looks normal. But as soon as i turn on hdr for video recording it sometimes looks very cheap. Even my iphone Xs makes better true to live hdr videos. I‘m 50/50 with this phone. While it‘s good in one side, it‘s bad in the other. I did not expect that for such a expensive phone.
@@mangupdere5477 Interesting. My Battery Life is ok. Phone gets normally warm while using it heavy but it consumes a bit too much battery when it is in standby. I heard the battery life gets better after days when the phone knows my usage.
Video, Exynos is better in almost everything, colour, sharp, zoom, only in stability snapdragon is better. Day photos the exynos is slightly superior, more colour, more sharp, 10x zoom much superior, selfies much superior the exynos, look at the author's glasses, the colour of the sky in the selfie video. Night, in the video more stability of snapdragon, more natural colour in the exynos mainly in the zoom, and photos the exynos is more sharp. I prefer Exynos, the stability of exynos could be more improved.
I have the snapdragon variant and I noticed that when recording video at night, the video is jittery every few seconds when walking (I noticed the same thing on this video). I wonder if that's normal as I find it unacceptable for a high end phone such as this one.
Both are very good, the colors are better on exynos, but stability is much better on SD, i hope samsung fix this stability problem, i prefer exynos except for stability.
exynos have a slighly better photos with better sharpness and color whereas snapdragon has a better video stability and the video quality is pretty same
Samsung should do something to improve Snapdragon in software. Overall clearer pics, better color definition, longer battery life, less throttling, lower temperature. Ready to sell my US S22Ultra and buy EU version. What a shame.
I don't care much about photography but I do care about zooming and although I will get a snapdragon version but I think Exynos is a little better and it doesn't matter because the two are superb enough

Thank you so much for this comparison, Love from Pakistan💙
My pleasure 😊 Thanks for watching!
I heard that on exynos the zoom on photos is noisy. Is this right?
Thank you for your reviews
I would like to look at the photos from both phones in detail myself.
What's the difference between the unlock then the one you will get the carrier
Sometimes the carrier puts additional software on and updates will usually take longer to filter down to you
Interesting Exynos how specific these differences are.
>Im my opinion the differences are so tiny that it doesn't matter
- exactly 👍
Fps drop is a lot on exynos
Fps drop is a editor worst nightmare, while contrast can just be fix via final cut or premier
This is a Great video, thanks for your efforts
One of my essential points of a camera is the color accuracy,
So I just want to know how realistic are photos and videos compared to what you have seen with your own eyes, are they natural, oversaturated, undersaturated ??
And thanks
The Exynos is more true to colour during the day and the Snapdragon at night. You can see the difference during the day if you pause at 03:28 the wall and grass are the correct colour on the Exynos but things are more washed out on the Snapdragon. If you pause at 04:02 you can see another example of the SD being washed out the 'mosaic' style wall of the building looks correct on the Exynos and looks incorrect on the SD. Also at this part you can see that the SD grass is just a blur whereas the Exynos still has detail.
Night mode at 15:49 the SD colour is more realistic but there's actually not a huge amount in it. At 17:35 the book on the chair is the correct colour on the SD.
Hope this helps!
@@AndroidAddicts thanks a lot 🙏
That really helped me.
Now I'm a little confused between getting the s22 ultra (exynos) or waiting for the iPhone 14 pro max because iPhone colors are known for being realistic
So if it happened that you owned an iPhone before how much true-to-life are its camera compared to the one on the s22 ultra??
Thanks a lot for your kindness 🙏🙏
@@louayrahmani8724 since when the iPhone is more realistic?! I suggest you to look at some videos on YT and check , it's not realistic at all, it's known to be more saturated.
@@louayrahmani8724 "Close to reality" would probably be from Sony Xperia phones
I got to say, Snapdragon still is King. They just need to update it a little bit for the dynamic range part of things and it will be better. Overall Snapdragon had more Crisp Images with more details. Still very similar! Happy that xynos is finally ironed out for the most part!
💪😎
Exynos 2200 is king this generation.. especially with battery life.
@@VonDutchNL exynos has stand by battery draining issues
@@Jon_zherka_77 Let me guess.. you have a SD
Thank you so much for comparison. Got to say Exynos has done well and it keep up with Snapdragon. I am really happy about Exynos battery life it beast of phone. I am still waiting for s22 ultra pre order.
Yeah the battery life really is fantastic. Just coming to the end of another day of decent usage and I still have 14% left - and yesterday I managed over 7h 20m of screen on time and had about 5% left - so pretty amazing really. Hope your pre-order arrives soon for you!
@@AndroidAddicts I think this will be my last samsung phone. As its a lot of ££££. In the phone world their running out of new technology. I think end of 2022 and 2023 its going to be battle of 200 megapixel camera.
The Exynos looks so much better then the Snapdragon. I might have to import that version.
That's the first time I've ever read someone thinking about importing an Exynos 😱🏅
Exynos looks shaky af 😅😂😂 What are you even talking about ? Iol
Exynos es mejor en bateria y camara, solamente falta mejorar la estabilidad. Yo tengo un s22 ultra snapdragon, y su problema es la bateria.
Hi bro ,i still i remember your video about free unlimited simoleon and simcash. why do u delete it? :'( do you have the link again for ios please? i hope u reply this 😰
Sadly the video got copyright striked so I had to take it down. You can still get the latest updates from here though: www.androidaddicts.online/index.php/the-sims-download-links/
Samsung is rolling out new camera optimizations slowly, are you going to cover the changes ?
I will do yes. I'm currently away at the moment so will do some in a few weeks time 👌
@@AndroidAddicts Literally a king, thank you soooooooooo much ❤
Video is better on Snap
Exynos is better with photos
I'm surprised. I thought sd8 would have been better but this time round the exynos out performed in almost all scenarios.
i think i like color camera video in exynos but frame rate and stabilization of course snapdragon
Exynos way better, unbelievable!
Wow the Exynos quality is amazing! This is a testament that AMD's ISP is really superior.
Isn't the ISP directly made from Samsung and not AMD. AMD are really only involved in the GPU side, unless I'm missing something?
@@LosBlancoo usually ISPs are baked in the GPU. Could be Samsung is already using the video encoder/decoder of RDNA2
It really isn't... SD is still better.
@@JR28. not really..... Exynos 2200 beats 8 gen1
@LayLow20 nope, check out anyone's videos comparing the two... SD produced much better video in low light, has better stabilisation and more realistic colours.
could you please do a thermal throttling test in mobile data, and maybe comparing to WiFi turned on later.
Yeah I might do a thermal test when I'm back from my holiday 👍
Then, they lied to us
Thank you for fighting Samsung induced anxiety hehe
😄👍
2200 getting better to me I go for the ex2200 more than sdg8
I know that you are left-handed and are you holding the Exynos with your left hand?
Yes I always keep the Exynos on the left in all my comparisons - camera, speed test, battery drain etc. Just makes it easier to remember 👍
How is the temperature with the new exynos ?
Very good! You can check it out on my Benchmark and Battery drain tests (links in the description)
Finally they are equals 🤩
💪
Did the exynos version have overheat issues like the S21 ultra exynos?
It runs cooler than SD but with these modern chips they are hot and will throttle in games
👆
Less, in my own experience. SD warms too much. It is flawed chip, let be clear. Now selling SD 22Ultra for S22Ultra Exynos. What a stupidity
Stability in SD better but Ex is better quality special in zoom photos, thank you
Thanks for watching!
Snapdragon in the night fotos seem to be yellow tinted.
It could be the street lights sadly which are slightly yellow. Also the lights on the church are also tinted yellow/orange
And Snapdragon is even worse, battery time sucks badly, warm as hell under heavy use. Flawed phone, Exynos is better, per multiple comparisons.
@@mangupdere5477 Interesting. My Battery Life is ok. Phone gets normally warm while using it heavy but it consumes a bit too much battery when it is in standby. I heard the battery life gets better after days when the phone knows my usage.
@@EDIBre Of course if you like it, keep it. I found that Exynos is just better in mentioned critical aspects.
Good job! ThX for da V|Đe0! (;
Thanks for watching!
Nice take on things 👍
I have the snapdragon variant and I noticed that when recording video at night, the video is jittery every few seconds when walking (I noticed the same thing on this video). I wonder if that's normal as I find it unacceptable for a high end phone such as this one.
Both are very good, the colors are better on exynos, but stability is much better on SD, i hope samsung fix this stability problem, i prefer exynos except for stability.
Exynos is stuttering so much more then snapdragon on the first video test. Looks like it has way better stabilisation and focus.
Indeed, there are lots of improvements required...of which we haven't seen any yet... hopefully in June's firmware update maybe...
exynos version are more vibrant and sd8gen1 are more steady...
i think the 100 times zoom is exynos version better
exynos have a slighly better photos with better sharpness and color whereas snapdragon has a better video stability and the video quality is pretty same
From my experience with exynos 2200 s22 ultra, snapdragon has better colour accuracy and better front camera video recording.
@@dxtnguyxn4179 hmm ya i know that snapdragon has better video but according to other youtubers exynos edges out in photos
@@creeeep404 I have both s21 ultra snapdragon and s22 ultra exynos and my snapdragon destroy my s22 ultra in colour accuracy and noise reduction.
Samsung should do something to improve Snapdragon in software. Overall clearer pics, better color definition, longer battery life, less throttling, lower temperature. Ready to sell my US S22Ultra and buy EU version. What a shame.
Camera on the Exynos looks better...
Snapdragon has better stabilization a little bit but exynos has better quality.
I better has good quality with trade off than stabilization
And stabilisation is something that can be improved with updates so hopefully it'll be fixed soon to bring it up to par with the SD 👍
Soo smooth ok snapdragon
woww exynos is better!!!
At the video recording, exynos has a better detail but its very shaky during the walking
Agreed - hopefully will be fixed in a future firmware update 👍
Good, I can buy exynos 2200 without blinking an eye 😉
Nice 👍
I don't care much about photography but I do care about zooming and although I will get a snapdragon version but I think Exynos is a little better and it doesn't matter because the two are superb enough
They are both very good. Here are some thoughts I just replied to someone else which might be useful. I'll stick them in the pinned comment as well:
The Exynos is more true to colour during the day and the Snapdragon at night. You can see the difference during the day if you pause at 03:28 the wall and grass are the correct colour on the Exynos but things are more washed out on the Snapdragon. If you pause at 04:02 you can see another example of the SD being washed out the 'mosaic' style wall of the building (and the outdoor wall lamp) looks correct on the Exynos and looks incorrect on the SD. Also at this part you can see that the SD grass is just a blur whereas the Exynos still has detail.

Thank you for your attention to all the details and for letting us know, you are a wonderful person ❤
Exynos is way worse in video stabilization (doesnt lock on the subject as well as the Snapdragon), look at the begining of the video whey he walked thoward the tree.
Exynos looks better with details and colour. Snapdragon looks a bit too bright... Almost whitewashing the detail
Exynos still shit i never buy phone with this chip again. Im so happy they dont use exynos on fold phone my fold2 is so smooth even after almoust 2 years of using
