    Snapdragon stabilisation 🏆 Was actually hard to see how different the stabilisation was as the sun was so bright in the day but definitely a huge win there for the SD. Apologies for the sound levels in the day video. It was extremely windy as you can hear.
    Let me know what you thoughts are down below! Overall I'm happy with both, Exynos needs big improvements on its stabilisation still (both back/front cameras) but overall both phones are pretty good in these early firmware versions. The Exynos is more true to colour during the day and the Snapdragon at night. You can see the difference during the day if you pause at 03:28 the wall and grass are the correct colour on the Exynos but things are more washed out on the Snapdragon. If you pause at 04:02 you can see another example of the SD being washed out the 'mosaic' style wall of the building (and the outdoor wall lamp) looks correct on the Exynos and looks incorrect on the SD. Also at this part you can see that the SD grass is just a blur whereas the Exynos still has detail.
    Night mode at 15:49 the SD colour is more realistic but there's actually not a huge amount in it. At 17:35 the book on the chair is the correct colour on the SD.

    I've the Exynos version. I like it. First Exynos was bashed. But now: Better battery life at the Exynos! Nearly same Performance (I don't mind, both are fast). And now, I prefer the more colored videos of the exynos, even if stabilisation is not as good as on the snapdragon (I'm sure they fix it too).
    BTW I tested Idle drain at night (BT & GPS & AOD off, wlan on) got ~0.65%/h. Did it 2 times for 10h and 8h.

      Yeah it's fair to say now the differences were majorly overexaggerated.
      For me the big way Snap wins is due to optimization with app. I.e higher graphic settings and options.
      But Samsung is showing developers how to program for its Xclipse 920 GPU this week at GDC so hopefully some big players will start to optimize for RDNA2 mobile.

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  2 года назад +1

      Yeah the Snapdragon will always have that over its competitors (at least for the next few years). Who knows what the future might hold now AMD have joined the party. I didn't know about that for GDC so really looking forward to see what comes out of it. As with desktop CPUs the competition between AMD and Intel is always fierce - it always swaps around between generations as to which is better so it is possible we'll see something similar in the mobile market 👍 Whether that'd actually happen is yet to be seen but competition is definitely a good thing to keep manufacturers on their toes

    So many people in the comments praising Exynos but take a look at 5:25
    His hair and facial hair is so blurry that it's not even acceptable.
    You can't even see the texture (horizontal lines) in his shirt aswell as the strings and bunch of other things being blurry. And every time he moves slightly, the left side on exynos has a bunch of weird artifacts on the tree/bush behind him.
    Or look at 2:30 where the log he's looking at is crisp and clean on Snapdragon but a blurry mess on Exynos.
    Exynos sure does look better in some cases, but it also has a lot more noise like at 3:10 in the middle under the small roof or whatever you'll see it has quite a bit of noise while Snapdragon has no noise.
    Also the horrible fps drops on the Exynos at the start of the video is just unacceptable.
    8:58 the detail on the tree and the grass aswell as the background is a lot better on the Snapdragon than the Exynos
    10:06 the muddy water and the twigs and plants infront is blurry on the Exynos.
    10:48 Exynos blurry again.
    10:53 Exynos blurry again...
    11:13 Exynos very blurry.
    11:31 I knew from other video comparisons it was gonna be bad when it came to night video and this video shows it aswell. Look at the pavement on the Exynos, it is horrendously blurry. Same with the tree, the brick pavement too and the sign he walks by. Actually trash video in comparison to Snapdragon.
    13:22 You can hardly see the lamp post, the car or the pavement on the Exynos.
    Anyone thinking Exynos is better is just coping massively over their country selling the inferior processor.
    Snapdragon beats Exynos by a mile in overall quality on both video and images.

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  2 года назад

      Good review! I agree, the Snapdragon is a lot better overall in the camera department (and there haven't been any notable camera updates since this video was made). The only thing I prefer on the Exynos is the colours and HDR but that's just a matter of taste.

    You could also take a test of the energy consumed during your photo and video testing with this test. You would both charge your phones to 100%, and you would both cut the plane, and at the end of the photo and video test, you would tell us how much power the phone used. The stabilization and rolling shutter of the Exynos are atrocious, it looks like a 200€ smartphone 🤦🏽‍♂️.
    The worst is this excessive contrast on the Exynos to give an impression of sharpness.
    The only slightly positive thing about the Exynos is the daytime exposure, otherwise for everything else, even an S20+ does better.

    Hi Android Addicts can you please make a video comparison of 60hz vs 120hz on s22 ultra because they says that it has ltpo technology. Does it really makes a different in terms of battery life. 🙏🏽

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  2 года назад

      Regarding battery life it does indeed help - ever since the ability to set the refresh rate on the S20 series it's been widely proven that it does save battery life. The beauty of having an adaptive refresh rate is it'll only go up to 120Hz at certain times which is how it should be - if you're reading a static web page of text there's no need for it to be running at 120Hz so it can site there at a much lower rate which saves power.

    • @Tryrcadventure
      @Tryrcadventure 2 года назад

      Yes you're right. But the thing that bother me is when you set the power saving mode on then 120hz is automatically disabled and can't be turned on manually. So it means that it's consuming more battery than the static 60hz right ?
      Then, they lied to us

    Video, Exynos is better in almost everything, colour, sharp, zoom, only in stability snapdragon is better. Day photos the exynos is slightly superior, more colour, more sharp, 10x zoom much superior, selfies much superior the exynos, look at the author's glasses, the colour of the sky in the selfie video.
    Night, in the video more stability of snapdragon, more natural colour in the exynos mainly in the zoom, and photos the exynos is more sharp.

      They are both very good. Here are some thoughts I just replied to someone else which might be useful. I'll stick them in the pinned comment as well:
      Hope this helps!
