Thx for the comparison. You did a lot of photos but I often noticed a difference in focus aim. As nowadays image optimization refer on what the cam app believes to see and what is important in a foto, I could imagine that this leads to different interpretations and thus image processing. I also really wonder about the quality spread across the same model. Have you ever done a comparison with two phones of the same model, I mean really the same model? I would bet that this will also differ, maybe almost like this. Would be interesting
So that's why I found out that s21fe has a much better white balance than the s20fe5g. Exynos vs Snapdragon. I loved the comparison. I really liked exynos colors better, but chopping ears, glasses, and other details are inexcusable. lol
S21 makes better 64MP photos than S22 Ultra's 108MP ones (Exynos). What a shame. Also, S21's regular 12MP photos are more detailed than the 12MP photos of S22 Ultra (Exinos). The funny thing is that 12MP main camera of my S10e (same camera as in S10, S10 Plus, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus) makes better photos AND 4K/60 videos than both S21 and S22 Ultra (Exynos). The S10 and Note 10 series are so much better, I can't believe it. Not sure why "Samsung" is applying so much oversharpening in their new phones that make them perform worse than their older flagships...
Nice video, thanks for update. Like your videos. What is situation with Chromatic aboration on Exinos version? In video i did not noticed any. Beofre update I had friends S22 ultra in hands, pictures on contrast edges was realy suffered from CA.
Thanks for the comparison! Those differences are unacceptable for a flagship phone that costs ~1200 new. It is deceiving for consumers to see reviews on the larger channels and decide to get the device on those merits and then get a different user experience because the cameras differ that much. With the Exynos you are getting so much worse video performance that one might think that they are from completely different phone models. Consistency is the name of the game for premium devices and Samsung has really missed it with this one. Hope they can fix that, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
If the model with exynos processor would cost 200 dollars less or something similar, there would be no complaints... But in Europe and other parts of the world we are paying the same for a more than obvious worse camera quality. Also noticeable is the heating and a more unstable phone signal coverage in the Exynos version, which produces more heat and battery loss.
I have to say on many photos the difference between one and the other felt like the the Exynos had OIS Off... :S Is really this big of a difference even after the updates?
Fantastic bro. You are the best in comparisons by a big margin. I am waiting for your Xiaomi 12S ultra comparison with S22 ultra. Do that and it will get a record high view bro...
I noticed maybe a bit of over-sharpness in the daytime video with the main camera on Snapdragon version but overall I agree with you. Personally I sent back my S22U exynos (belgium) to finally use only my Pixel 6 Pro which I find is better in photos overall. Nice place and thank you Danny for this excellent comparison as usual 🙂👌
Now you just need an iPhone for video lol. Seriously though the iPhone gives you an other experience when taking photos videos... The screen goes into HDR mode , the UI gets grayed out and the picture pops with extra bright highlights... It's an awesome effect. Haven't found this effect in any Android phones. They just show pics in SDR , with "normal" brightness

If you're using a side by side rig to shoot these photos, they are never taking the same exact shot. There will be differences in lighting and composition... although subtle in most cases. Look at your subject as you move your camera 6 inches to one side, simulating a second phone end to end. You'll see the lighting change while you move.
No doubt Exynos version, photos and videos much more beautiful during the day, and at night almost ridiculous the SD in certain situations. Nobody cares about details when zooming in on photos. The colours on Exynos are more beautiful for social networks, people in photos look much better, in selfies Exynos is spectacular. More pleasing photos for the eyes. This youtuber (defender of the SD version) tried to deflect the truth of what most people want from a mobile phone camera. Recorded videos at night where none are taken advantage of, who makes videos like that with almost no light???? It's a real crap shoot, it doesn't give any advantage. But in brighter night videos the Exynos is more natural, the SD may have slightly more detail, but that yellow colour is horrible.
This softening is annoying but I wouldn't say it is because of Exynos but rather because of software. I was shocked that Gcam Port app make selfies with better quality than samsung camera app on the same phone.
I am living in England. If I buy the snapdragon version (US), will this still work in terms of signal etc etc in the UK? Other than 5g not working, will it work as if it were a UK phone with an EE SIM in? I am not worried about the warranty side of things
They make the perfect conditions for the one they want to make it better... As an example at 9:55, in Exynos he takes the photo with all the light visible behind the kid's head, in SD he almost covers the light... of course the photo in SD will come out better
"in Exynos he takes the photo with all the light visible behind the kid's head, in SD he almost covers the light…" Exactly. A camera should always react to the intensity of the light source. This is not the only example. Taking photos with a sharp sun facing the camera, as done many times in video, can be sensitive to the reference camera not having the same position and angle. If he did a Exynos vs Exynos or Snapdragon vs Snapdragon and all photos looked the same, then I would believe this comparison.
@@pmcpfr People might think that this is just theoretical speculation, but it is very easy to prove. I just took some photos with the s22u of some flowers with clouds in the sky as background. I moved the camera about ⅓ inch and the sky changed color to a more saturated blue. Then I moved again about ⅓ inch and the sky became white and the clouds were not visible anymore. If your object is in the shadow on a sunny day this phenomena appears quite often.
@@TechMikkel Even with the hand-held tripe, which you can use with several mobile phones, the angles are different and modify the photos, or because they capture more vegetation for example, or even more sky.

Im from Ireland and it annoys me so much that we only get exynos over here, one thing I notice with having my s21 ultra exynos version it's good the first year it comes out but then the next year it's like the phone goes to shit with the camera quality and then the software. I wish samsung would just get rid of exynos and give us the snapdragon version....
5:19 / 5:20 Could you please zoom in a bit more (magnification). The difference is difficult to see on a smartphone display even at 1,440p or more. Thanks! 😃
Just when i thought i couldn't hate exynos more, this happens. Im really allergic to exynos i despise it. Samsung is like a an insane mental patient doing the same thing over and over and expecting diffrent results yea yea i know they tried with AMD gpu and still failed. They know people hate the exynos and they still dont care its like " IN YA FACE I KNOW YOU WILL STILL BUT IT" i dont care if its better this year, this shouldnt happen we paying for the same phone. If they have to use exynos i dont understand why not use it instedt in their FOLD AND FLIPP PHONES, people who buy flipp and fold phones would not care just as much as we who buy the top s flagship if the exynos performs worse. At least not as much, because you buy a fold because its a cool tech, its not because of camera and battery and performance. But you buy the s flagship to have the greatest samsung has to offer when it comes to camera ,battery , performance.
you should make a comparison between S22 Ultra after software update with iPhone 13 Pro Max, not necessarily in the near future, but you should make one😁
Not gonna lie I like human subjects on the Exynos better. Skin is just the right pop and colour. But oversll Snapdragon still reigns supreme on most of the shot. My country has the Snapdragon model after going Exynos for a while so definitely worth it this time.
Never going to buy any samsung phone again as long as they still sell the exynos version here in europe. Just sold my S21. Now i have a 13 pro max, the photo's are very good.
Can you please do the S20 Ultra Snapdragon vs the S22 Ultra Exynos? I'm very unhappy with the photo's from my S22 Ultra Exynos and want to know if an older Snapdragon Galaxy is better than the newest Exynos.
I tested S22 Ultra against my old Xiaomi Mi Note 10 from 2019 today and was surprised to find out that in some of the scenarios the Mi Note 10 wasn't just better, it literally wiped the floor with the S22 Ultra. I'm super confused
Snapdragon here in the U.S. also love the camera on this. I've don't feel the need to lug around my DSLR anymore, I love my pro camera but this phones camera and the ability to take RAW file shots makes the white balance problem no problem at all. Quick easy fixes in Lightroom.
2:24 the exynos didnt failed on HDR! You use tap to focus on the cannon, that is why is brighter! I hate this comparisons, they are never in the same condition.
While it is true that the focus is different he has explained a million times he never taps to focus, he leaves everything to be as automated as possible. So the conditions are essentially the same, the software just took two different approaches.
@@michaliskossyfas5862 what makes these comparisons pointless, there is always a small variation in the lenses and in the sensors, but even so, a real comparison would be to have the same settings on both devices, same shutter speed and same iso to make these claims of which one looks better. Mowdays taking a photo even from a slightly different angle of the same scene can completely change the image.
@@ES-qy2ju I partially agree, but differences like colour science, HDR approach, noise handling etc are also revealed in these comparisons and that can very useful/informative for potential buyers.

When it comes to camera comparison.Danny is by far the best..And will always be the best.No one ever explain every detail in every picture to picture coparison like Danny...The way he talks and explains is amazingly great..We love you Danny..you Did great job...As always ...
DANNY IS THE BEST..😍
You got that right
I remember requesting for this a couple of months back, u said u were waiting for updates
Thanks it came through at last.
Would be interesting
this is an interesting point
So that's why I found out that s21fe has a much better white balance than the s20fe5g. Exynos vs Snapdragon. I loved the comparison. I really liked exynos colors better, but chopping ears, glasses, and other details are inexcusable. lol
5:03 the Exynos has much better background details though, you can see the girl whereas on the Snapdragon one you can't even see her... ;-)
What a difference! Please do this on the next S23Ultras, I really appreceate your videos every time! Have nice day!
Best channel for Video comparisons BY FAR. I guess having all year access to rhe theme Park helps :D
The last update improved quality, both are with the last update ?
Team SD Because I Have this versión of S22Ultra! 😅
I’m also team SD, I wasn’t at launch but now I am, sadly I live in Europe so I have the Exynos
Damn I think both looks great
If the model with exynos processor would cost 200 dollars less or something similar, there would be no complaints... But in Europe and other parts of the world we are paying the same for a more than obvious worse camera quality.
Also noticeable is the heating and a more unstable phone signal coverage in the Exynos version, which produces more heat and battery loss.
Sometimes that heavier contrast as shown in this video can be a good thing. I overall go with Snapdragon though..
I have to say on many photos the difference between one and the other felt like the the Exynos had OIS Off... :S Is really this big of a difference even after the updates?
I have the exynos version. I am from germany. And i can definitely tell either he forgot to usw the OIS or he has a defective unit.
Fantastic bro. You are the best in comparisons by a big margin. I am waiting for your Xiaomi 12S ultra comparison with S22 ultra. Do that and it will get a record high view bro...
From start to finish, a great Review. Kudos!
@@shebjjeje9720 pity the rest of the experience and UI is awful on an iPhone.

Thanks a lot for the comparison! 😃👍 Unfortunately that's one reason more not to spend € 1,449.- here in Europe. 😳
Those who been in manufacturing and design industry knows there are always variation in production batch. There are people who buy lots of CPU chips and only select the the one.
3x on exynos seem slightly better
Please do a camera comparison again with iphone 13 PRO MAX after the June Update....Thanks in Advance
If you're using a side by side rig to shoot these photos, they are never taking the same exact shot. There will be differences in lighting and composition... although subtle in most cases.
Look at your subject as you move your camera 6 inches to one side, simulating a second phone end to end. You'll see the lighting change while you move.
Didn't know that the processor had THAT Much influence.
Ur delusional buddy.
And this is coming from a guy using as S22U Exynos.
Very good test man! Thanks
So exynos users get shit but pay same price nice samsung....
@@androidoneiu5206 lol, good joke
They make the perfect conditions for the one they want to make it better...
As an example at 9:55, in Exynos he takes the photo with all the light visible behind the kid's head, in SD he almost covers the light... of course the photo in SD will come out better
"in Exynos he takes the photo with all the light visible behind the kid's head, in SD he almost covers the light…"
Exactly.
@@TechMikkel Exactly 👍
You guys are taking this too far. It’s just a comparison. This isn’t a comparison where I just took 10-20 pictures and said how I feel. There are hundreds of pictures here. I don’t care which camera is better. I am just trying to help others who are curious or are trying to make a buying decision. It’s not that damn serious.
This also happens with Snapdragon. They do it so that you upgrade
@@theistnate really? I've heard people deny that about snapdragon versions of Samsung phones
My conclusion:
Exynos: Pink tint and good night shots
Dragon: Warm & sharper
I'll get the Dragon, thank you very useful video
5:19 / 5:20 Could you please zoom in a bit more (magnification). The difference is difficult to see on a smartphone display even at 1,440p or more. Thanks! 😃
3:11 I dare say there's more colour on the Exynos photo here
Just when i thought i couldn't hate exynos more, this happens.
Samsung lost me as a costumer. Owned every Galaxy S phone but will not buy a new Galaxy if they don’t fix the Exynos issues.
Europe should BOYCOTT exynos phones!!!
The most honest video I've found
what version of snapdragon do you have?
How can you tell which one you have on your phone?
you should make a comparison between S22 Ultra after software update with iPhone 13 Pro Max, not necessarily in the near future, but you should make one😁
How do u check for differences between SD or Ex.?
need your advice sir: smartphone alternative with 4K 60fps ultrawide video capability other than iphone series & samsung s22 ultra
Can you do S21 FE version of this?
4:22 I jusstt hate my mind 🌚.
Not gonna lie I like human subjects on the Exynos better. Skin is just the right pop and colour. But oversll Snapdragon still reigns supreme on most of the shot. My country has the Snapdragon model after going Exynos for a while so definitely worth it this time.
please tell me, the size of the foto files (.jpeg) on Exynos and Snapdragon is different and how much?
Never going to buy any samsung phone again as long as they still sell the exynos version here in europe. Just sold my S21. Now i have a 13 pro max, the photo's are very good.
Can you please do the S20 Ultra Snapdragon vs the S22 Ultra Exynos?
I'm very unhappy with the photo's from my S22 Ultra Exynos and want to know if an older Snapdragon Galaxy is better than the newest Exynos.
even S20FE shoot better then S22 Ultra with exynos.
Trend continues, snapdragon edges out exynos
Its closer than ever though
Exynos Always Samsung Inhouse Processor and it's Dual Sim Always. Snapdragon is US Variant available in Certain Countries.
I think overall Snapdragon is still better
I prefer the Snapdragon, but in Portugal the S22 ultra is produced with Exynos...
I'll keep with my iPhone on this moment.

I tested S22 Ultra against my old Xiaomi Mi Note 10 from 2019 today and was surprised to find out that in some of the scenarios the Mi Note 10 wasn't just better, it literally wiped the floor with the S22 Ultra. I'm super confused
It could be because of the software and optimisation
My wife has the mi note 10 and the main camera of the xiaomi is a lot better in detail than my samsung ultra .. I was also surprised and pissed of ..

@@ES-qy2ju
"real comparison would be to have the same settings on both devices, same shutter speed and same iso to make these claims of which one looks better."
However, I don't agree on setting the same iso and shutter speed. Why do you think that is necessary? But taking photos with a very bright sun facing the camera, as done many times in video, can be sensitive to the reference camera not having the same position and angle. It has to be said that Xiaomi and Huawei are more sensitive/inconsistent than iPhone and Samsung. And yes, small variations in lenses and sensors could play a role.
I never use tap to focus. I took the picture with just snapping the shot. I don’t ever tap to focus when I do these tests unless I state it.
