I prefer the sharper corners of the S22 Ultra. As a person who streams a lot of videos, I feel as though the S22 Ultra's shape causes the display to look larger than it already is (which I completely love). I think it's easier for them to include a built-in S-Pen when the device has these sharper corners, and I'm a big fan of the s-pen as well, so, for me, it's the perfect device!
I'm absolutely agree with you I also make vídeos and it's perfect for that 😃 I really love the s22 ultra Happily I get the snap dragon version so It couldn't be better 😃
LOVING my S22 Ultra (512GB Phantom White) so far, I cannot tell you enough how good This thing has been treating me! I've been getting more than enough battery life. it lasts me EASILY a whole day and I manage to have around 40% at the end of the day! I personally highly recommend it! Everything has blown me away with this phone! I do have to say that this is most likely the best phone you can get. without a competition. While yes the iphones do have slightly better video quality, The S22 Ultra still has really good video quality, The iphone just barely beats it (In my opinion), It offers more than the iphone does and thats why I really went for it. Also I do prefer android so It only made sense for me to go with it. But yeah, The 13 Pro max Isn't bad at all But I personally prefer the S22 Ultra more.
I also find the size and shape to be REALLY nice to hold, Its the first phone I've EVER had that FINALLY doesn't feel small in my hands, It feels really quite nice to hold
I would like to say the same, especially about the battery life of my Samsung Galxy S22 Ultra (Exynos). But Google Play Services consumes almost ~12% per day even in standby. If I don't charge the smartphone overnight but leave it in the evening with 100% battery charge for about 7 hours until morning, I have a nightly consumption of ~16%. So with almost 6 hours of screen-on time, I often have to charge the smartphone before going to sleep because it doesn't last the whole day with me :(
Also I'd love to mention how I personally see a massive difference in 8K going from S21 Ultra to S22 Ultra, There is much less of a rolling shutter effect to the point where it's practically completely gone
I have the S22 Ultra 512 Snapdragon in Green and it’s by far the best phone I’ve ever used. I agree the iPhone video is better but the S22 isn’t bad at all but other than that my iPhone 13 feels like a slight downgrade because of the lack of features. Being 100% honest, the iPhone gets blown out of the water 💨I know people don’t like hearing that. Lol
I've had my s22 ultra since it's launch. I think it's a great phone and combining the best of the galaxy and note series make a really good device. I got a watch as well, which I have not had before and it's quite the powerhouse of technology. 🤟🔥
I've had a Note since 2014 when I bought my note 4 and I love them. My S22 ultra is awesome. My previous note was Note 8 which I bought in 2017 and still works fine. I used it for 5 solid years and still works amazingly with no problem. I expect the same durability from this one.
My exynos s22 ultra has been top notch. The most beautiful experiences - camera and screen. I have 6-7 hours of real hard usage at a go. Most users' complaints about battery do not mean the battery isn't good though, we have just been spoilt by the figures from some other phones. Personally with mild to heavy usage on a working day, I get about 15% by 8pm, honestly I wish it could be around 30-35% by then. My ultra never gets hot, processing speed gets an A, though not 100%. It has frozen up maybe twice before, and atimes audio on video gets delayed a bit. Unfortunately it's my first note, and I haven't mastered the use of the s-pen. I will score it 80% so far, the screen and cameras give me the nice feeling that I am not changing this phone for the next 2 years at least.
Yes my games have been crashing. Cod mobile will freeze and the app will close its so annoying. It doesn't happen all the time but 3 or 4 times and it's not acceptable
The battery is good though. Very good. It's mostly complaints by people who do not really use or even own the phone. Compared to all Samsung high end phones, the S22 Ultra is amongst the absolute best _also_ when it comes to battery life.
Had been using my S22 Ultra for about a month now. Despite the initial heating issue while playing games, still rather satisfying with the phone. The only grudge is that it no longer supporting the external storage, which I had been replying for the past few generations of the S and Note series.
@@HM-wn2in Thanks for.posting this. I'm ready to buy and keep hearing abou thet battery heating up. All phones overheat outside in the summer where I live. I'm hyper-aware of temps. I do cast RUclips for hours and hours. Sounds like I shouldn't be too concerned. Thoughts?
@@Mike-t5r9q nah it's not a heating issue. It's normal and it's definitely a step up from the s10+ I had. It gets warm but never hot. On regular day to day stuff it's always cool. I've only noticed heat up on hot days, especially when I'm outside on mobile data and brightness is cranked to max
Most reviews say nothing about the improved modem over the past few years x50 to x55 x60 x65 ect. It is HUGE as far as connectivity to LTE and 5G network bands. Now they are incorporated into the CPU instead separate like on the note 20 ultra and prior and are absolutely monumental for good reception and speed. One of the most important features taken for granted and never reviewed. This phone with series 8 gen 1 has the most advanced modem to date for excellent connectivity and speed in the most remote places.
I've been using the 8 Gen1 version since Feb.21, and this is how I felt.... Battery: Great, but not amazing...I do get through a 12 hour day with some gaming with 5~6.5 hours of SoT, but barely, with just 15% or so left in the tank....... Display: Near perfection, just wished that the top and bottom bezels were the same thickness and the refresh rate dropps randomly for a few seconds once a day or so, which is a bit annoying Performance: Great, but the phone gets pretty hot, especially with GOS off Build: Great, but just as you said, the cameras catch so much pocket lint..... Camera: It's great, but I would have liked a 1440p recording option, since 4k takes up too much storage, and in 1080p, as soon as I zoom in on a screen capture from a video, it looks pretty bad... S-pen: No complaints since the N20U, so no complaints here as well As a fan of the S-pen who games alot at the same time, this is basically the only option for me, and I don't regret it. But I really hope samsung releases something like a Note FE 2022 based on the note 10 or something, since I just couldn't recommend a 1000$+ phone for my parents who like the S-pen and use it a lot, but doesn't game or need a crazy good camera... Love your videos

The Exynos version has had ALOT of problems.. Here in Norway alone people have been complaining like crazy. Some people have even returned their phones within 60 days open purchase because the updates have not helped. Phones are freezing for a couple seconds, battery drains, connection issues and more. Samsung needs to get their shit together now.
@@Jan_Boris What I have seen the camera is fantastic and top of the line. However I noticed some people have had battery drain, freezing or stutter in apps and other things. Should be managed by software updates but how long is the question. Will definently be getting it if they manage to sort it out.
Connection issues here on Exynos. Utterly unacceptable, wont have internet in places where there is weak connection but still usable with ANY other phone. Also wont switch antennas easily when on the move also causing no Internet problems. Wifi is also pretty weak in the range department. This is the most basic of things for a smartphone, if it cant connect then it serves for nothing.
Samsung lost it after Note 9, which was their last REAL, no compromises flagship. All the features you need and probably will never need, but they exist. After that, S10+ with pill cutout ("for better selfies") that was gone on Note10+ after just few months. S20 Ultra ("the best camera on any phone ever, a camera with a phone" as it was advertised) that came out with hardware flaw, and Note20 Ultra after few months that had completely different camera system. But didn't have 120Hz and high resolution. And so on and so on... Selling phone with 2 different chips, that have even camera performance difference, poor design choices, removing SD card slot, curved screen that probably noone asked for, camera that still has all silly flaws (yeah, landscape, sky and grass look nice, but try taking pic of something that's moving, a kid or a pet, and you still get blurry mess that has been there since S7 edge), software updates that massacre the battery (and make phone significantly worse after 1 - 1,5 years, probably to make you buy a new one)...After 6 years of using only their flagships, I don't know if I'd buy Samsung phone again. Yeah, phones are good, but unlike just 3-4 years ago, competition is doing their best for 4 times less money and Samsung...is just being Samsung...

Got my snapdragon version like a week ago. So far so good. Battery was below par than expected about 6hours of screen on time. Display is top-notch samsung quality as always. One major concern so far is it heats a lot while charging which may ruin the battery life in the long run. Other than that i haven`t faced any issues.

Thanks Saf, exactly same situation with the pen. I use it 2-3 times a week, but glad it's there. Scribble quick reminder notes, jot ideas to not forget, but being an interpreter, use it to jot down keywords when translating. Because of this, Note is the primary phone for me. I had 21 Ultra, returned it after one day.
I'm not sure if this is true but, a friend of mine pointed out that a flat display is better than a curved edge display when it comes to durability as well. This is because a the curve's resistance to damage is weaker than the middle/flat portion of the display. My 4 Year old Note 10 plus, had an accident when it fell flat on its face and the screen held up fantastically, but sadly once the impact was in the screen's corner, it immidiately broke. And that has happened shortly after the S22 Ultra came out. Which from experiment, I think my friend's observation is indeed true.
My Note 20 Ultra died this weekend. But instead of getting the S22 Ultra, although I thought about getting a fold for the insane amount that they were discounting them for, I just still loved my Note 20 Ultra even though I go the Black Screed of Death. I think the minimal upgrades of the S22, and the micro sd card in the Note 20 Ultra is what sealed the deal for me. And at the N20 being $199 vs $399 of the S22, it was a no brainer for me.
Just have it repaired, I just got my 256 GB model for Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra reason why I bought the phone was the same, sammy are Anti-consumer removing the SDcard slot and not accept their failure just like Sony and Microsoft have stupid market dicks and come up with the digital console worst decision in gaming history same goes for phones removing headphone jack and SDcard slots
Great video. I never watch someone else's videos, before doing my own review, but I couldn't decide whether or not to go for the last Note series phone, or to get the S22 Ultra. So I watched a video on each and after watching this video I've decided on the S22 Ultra. It has the features of my beloved Note, and it is newer, with support for much longer. It was a "no brainier" for me. Thanks again for the great content.
I switched from S21Ultra to S22Ultra (wife has the former ). Both Exynos chips & I honestly wish I hadn't switched. The battery life on the 22Ultra is terrible. 85% charge dropping to 15% with 3 hrs on screen time. Samsung refusing to replace the phone so not impressed.
So in other words your old S21 ultra has a much better battery performance? Please if you could answer me this while im in the store right now to choose between an 21 ultra 512 gb with 16 ram or the new s22 ultra🤔

My unlocked one worked great no speaker issues etc just no carrier HD calling. But the Verizon one I got has issues with the Bluetooth sounding low or muffled despite the adjustments to all known settings
Thanks for this review. I was about to purchase an s22 ultra or plus, due to the inclusion of the impressive x65 modem (signal reliability is important to me) which is great at picking up a signal in low signal areas, but this only features on the snapdragon version. Could you comment on how the exynos compares in this area? I realise it's quite specific! Cheers
I still use S9+ because I still want a phone with a micro SD card and an earphones jack. Tired of the companies taking Apple's road to eliminate components that are great for the customers in order to increase profits!
The exynos version I have has one problem, the pictures from the camera in auto mode have too much noise. Samsung, please look into this and give us a software update for the camera. It does not matter If it is daylight or lowlight, I checked the ISO and it is noisy even at ISO 50. When I use pro mode at the same ISO the noise is reduced alot.
Very strange that almost every RUclipsr reviewing these devices are getting the 6-7 hr sot. But the Facebook groups and telegrams are saying 3-4! I myself get 4-5 in a normal day with about 25/30% at the end of the day
Exynos version drains battery like hell... 1-2% per hour in standby and 10-15% per hour on 5G... this device is miles away from being a flagship device. Hopefully it will be fixed with the upcoming updates. And yes, I own it and it is my daily driver.
@@shaahidayob4777 unfortunately yes... the samsung members app is full of such complaints and much worse. If half of the devices are affected, Samsung would have to take the S22 U off the market.
@@shaahidayob4777 Exynos has a yield rate of 30% so only 3 out of 10 off the manufacturing line are good enough to use. @andyH_England let's hope they do make it public. Unfortunately their track record has not been great. Every year they make these ridiculous promises to consumers about how the Exynos variant perform (this time they made some crazy claims about GPU performance), but clearly something is up. Did you have to adjust settings to get that battery time? I'm thinking of buying it but I've been hearing alot of bad things about battery life with this phone.
With the speakers, I kind of wish they had them facing forward. Because the phone isn't a 100% screen to body ratio, where the bezels are, as tiny as they are, that's where the speakers should be in my opinion. Top and bottom

Samsung has downclocked the SD8G1 to match the Exynos so that it does not get bad PR and that is why benchmarks and performance on the SD S22U have been average. As they improve the Exynos then I expect them to adjust the SD8G1 upwards for better performance to keep that unity.

Had the S22 Ultra (Exynos version) for about two weeks and went back to iPhone. I badly wanted to get away from the apple eco system and try something different but I was incredibly disappointed. I don’t expect to pay £1300 for a flagship smartphone and it to be so laggy even just navigating the UI. Also the battery life considering it’s a 5000mA battery was horrendous I would lose close to 10 percent just being on standby overnight and on an average days use with 4-5 hours screen on time be at 20-30% remaining. In comparison my iPhone 13 Pro Max can do twice that and have 40-50% remaining at the end of the day. I do love a lot about the S22 Ultra, the spen, the versatility of the camera system especially the periscope telephoto lens, the beautiful bright display (although I’d prefer if it were flat not curved), One UI, the customisation but there was just two many compromises for the price. Unfortunately I can’t see why anyone who had used an iPhone would want to use an android after my experience and I hate to admit it but Apple and iPhone are in a different stratosphere.
Hate to say it but I agree with you. I like the galaxy devices a lot better, but they just can't measure up with iPhone quality in terms of smoothness and battery life. Also Apple is better at use cases for biometrics (like unlock notifications) and Apple Pay is lightyears ahead of Samsung Pay (at least where I am from). Wish it was different but in this way the Samsung just isn't worth the money
Yep I agree. It's a shame cause I think their phones are amazing, but in terms of software, they need better upgrades. Better software would help with the battery and make the phone smoother

I've had a Note since 2014 when I bought my note 4 and I love them. My S22 ultra is awesome. My previous note was Note 8 which I bought in 2017 and still works fine. I used it for 5 solid years and still works amazingly with no problem. I expect the same durability from this one.
I also had Note 8 till now. Quite good 5 yr

I've been using the 8 Gen1 version since Feb.21, and this is how I felt....
Battery: Great, but not amazing...I do get through a 12 hour day with some gaming with 5~6.5 hours of SoT, but barely, with just 15% or so left in the tank.......
Display: Near perfection, just wished that the top and bottom bezels were the same thickness and the refresh rate dropps randomly for a few seconds once a day or so, which is a bit annoying
Performance: Great, but the phone gets pretty hot, especially with GOS off
Build: Great, but just as you said, the cameras catch so much pocket lint.....
Camera: It's great, but I would have liked a 1440p recording option, since 4k takes up too much storage, and in 1080p, as soon as I zoom in on a screen capture from a video, it looks pretty bad...
S-pen: No complaints since the N20U, so no complaints here as well
As a fan of the S-pen who games alot at the same time, this is basically the only option for me, and I don't regret it. But I really hope samsung releases something like a Note FE 2022 based on the note 10 or something, since I just couldn't recommend a 1000$+ phone for my parents who like the S-pen and use it a lot, but doesn't game or need a crazy good camera...

My first s22 ultra had green pixels 😭😭 had to return it and now I'm still waiting for mine 😮💨😮💨😮💨

I'm not sure if this is true but, a friend of mine pointed out that a flat display is better than a curved edge display when it comes to durability as well. This is because a the curve's resistance to damage is weaker than the middle/flat portion of the display.
My 4 Year old Note 10 plus, had an accident when it fell flat on its face and the screen held up fantastically, but sadly once the impact was in the screen's corner, it immidiately broke. nice video about samsung galaxy s22 ultra and I also purchased the 512 GB version and I`m so amaze the speed and performance of the phone and your right about the battery heavy usage is 6 to 7 screen on time which is great compare to my google pixel 3 I owned. but it is hard to hold 1 hand to reach the other side of the screen at touch something but it is nice smartphone of 2022 so far
I feel bad for anyone stuck with Exynos
terrible thing and also disgusting trade-in programs in Europe. 500 Euros for the Note20Ultra 5G (need to pay another 750 for the S22Ultra), while in USA you get 850 dollars and pay another 350. I can't understand why people still buy exynos. If no-one buys, they'll not produce it anymore. These youtubers are great influencers, they should spread more awareness, otherwise Samsung will always do this. In South Korea they have Snapdragon, unbelievable..
Seriously. The price should be lower for lower performance.
Can you tell me please which is the better recording? Iphone 13 pro max or Samsung galaxy s22 ultra?
You list the facts in such incredible ways 🥺
with a phenomenal analysis 🥳👊🏼
Thank for your time 🙏👊🏼👊🏼
I'm buying the Oppo Find X3 Pro as it's on a really good special here in Australia. I have been a Samsung user since 2000 but going to change as I haven't been happy I have the S7 and S9 and still have my S2.
Hi will I get the warranty in the UK if I get the US
Note 10 was the last Note with the S-pen on the correct side :(
Massive Tech Unboxings ??? are those discontinued?😔
They just weren't doing as well anymore and I was running out of space lol. Maybe when I get a bigger place
He is so original. This is what makes him and his videos amazing 🤩
I learned today is that there is a COD mobile but in Belgium COD mobile is not allowed for some reason

I have my ss22 ultra for almost a month now and tbh it feels slower than my s20 ultra. Battery life does suck with the 120hz refresh but so smooth though
Really damn then I'm sticking with my s20 ultra longer then
@@Mike-t5r9q yeah the biggest problem for me is no SD card support and battery life sucks because of the refresh rate, even though it can be turned off
@TMX86 does the s22 ultra heat up alot ? My s20 ultra barely heats up what so ever
@@Mike-t5r9q not really, I usually have the brightness at half, display 4k at 120hz and I use it a lot, social media and RUclips. I don't game on it
@TMX86 ok gottcha and it doesn't heat up on 5G ? So basically the battery life just sucks on it then ? And do you have the snapdragon model ?
1:05 starts.
Agr with you 💯…if you want a phone that works flawlessly where every apps are well optimized..less gimmicks and half baked techs iphone is the king 👑. Reason why iphone is kicking the sales with no innovation at all..🙂
Xup Supersaf
Please can you compare Samsung a73 and note 10+?
First
Good video but why would anyone buy a phone as expensive as this which doesn't even include a charger. What a rip off.
Does this phone come with a screen protector pre installed like the previous models (UK)?
Nope since S21s
@@szewei85 ah okay. Does tempered glass work with the fingerprint scanners now then?
@@Ahmed-zu8ix it does
@supersaf, I share your sentiments with the spen, I rarely use it, but when I do, I'm glad it's there.
