Thank you Paul and Margot. Your knowledge, talent, humour and generosity are so much appreciated by myself and many others all around the world! I realise the time and effort involved to make these videos and hope that you both know how much happiness you give. Oh my. This brings tears to my eyes. My black cat with white whiskers passed away last night after being with my family for a wonderful 17 years. People have encouraged me to paint him and here you are, showing me how it is done. We sure miss our Banjo-boo.

I'm blown away by what a great teacher you are. Everything you teach turns out magnificent when I follow your process. Thank you so much for all that you share.
I had a black cat that was as black as coal and had the most beautiful yellow-orange eyes. I named him Soot as there wasn't a bit of white on him but he was a presence when he entered the room. He was a stray that I took in and I had him for 13 years. Thanks for sharing your painting and I will have to give it a go myself but will change the eyes of course.
I haven't begun the black cat yet. I just came here to thank you Paul. For taking time to be sure we get a painting this Wednesday. I know how busy you are with teaching and all. We certainly have the best teacher who thinks of us and wants to be sure we can have a lesson. There's a goodness in you and Margot that surpasses all else in your life. Thank you lovely people
I paint cats! This video was great! I love how you and the misses dress up and make a bit of fun. Now I want to go paint my black cat. I have 4 cats and two dogs! The cat likes to walk across my painting while I’m painting. SMH. But I love them. As always thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge with us. I look forward to your videos!
Amazing result and inspirational tutorial using minimum colours but achieving great details and colour, enjoyable video as always Paul greatly appreciated stay safe and healthy
Missed you last week. You never disappoint, great costume, music and painting. You guys must have a great time doing these. Thanks so much, every Wednesday I say to my husband, guess what today is and he finally figured out that it's Paul Clarke day. 🙃
I’m not much of an ideas person, so watching you paint is so good! And I just love your humorous side. As I have two black cats your painting has given me tremendous ideas on how to paint them in watercolour, thank you so much.
I can really relate to that. And even though I'm a decent watercolorist, as in I can recreate complex paintings with success more often than not, but seem to have no ideas of my own. Definitely don't feel like I deserve to say I'm an artist. More like a scanner, maybe..but not a creative. How about yourself? Can you channel some artistic creativity? If not, does it bother you?
@@morgenmachen2400 Morgen, I have “copied” a painting by Paul of a seascape this week. Just doing that made so much sense to me and it has really encouraged me to go ahead and paint some local seascapes, I live in Suffolk UK where the sea is rarely blue but has similar patterns as it’s water! I can do this and call the painting mine as it’s not a copy of his work but a use of his instruction! We have lots of inlets and slow rivers in this area so much to get out and do now I feel more understanding about it. If you pick up a brush, a box of paints and paper you are an artist, no matter how it turns out. Have faith in yourself and get all the help you can from Paul who I only recently found on RUclips and am so grateful to him for bringing life and humour into something so many of us wish to improve on. Good luck and keep in touch.
@@ArtbyPaulClark actually it’s putting my ideas into action on the paper which holds me back. I suspect I’m afraid of getting it wrong! By copying your painting demonstrations it is helping me so much to understand how to use watercolours.
@@brendafradd1054 thank you for your supportive words ❤ and you're right - there are ways of using what's absorbed and applying that to original art. Suffering from imposter syndrome I suppose.
Dear Paul, I loved the cat, and your humor and also matching clothes. I am going to try to paint the cat. greetings from the Netherlands and thank you very much for this video.
Wow! I would never have considered using Moonglow for the darks. I do have it in my collection 🥰 and will use it to paint my cat, Sirius Black 🐈⬛. Excellent texture throughout. Lovely paintings by the other artists in our group. Thanks again for your awesome tutorial, Mr. Clark. Hope you have a superfine day. 🍷
