    Hi everyone :-)
You can find items I make, create and draw for sale in my Etsy, Ebay and Redbubble shops! Please click the link above! I also take on commissions so don't hesitate to ask! :-)
Please follow DRRCreations on Instagram and Facebook! :-)
In this video I review the Clarke CWL1000B wood turning lathe which I use to make wands, light sabers and more! I also run through my tool tips of how to set up the lathe better and run through the good points and I wouldn't say bad points but just aspects to think about before buying it.
I need to correct myself on my statement of the chuck being a cheap Chinese chuck as I looked at so many types at the time of buying it and upon checking my emails, I realized that I actually ended up buying the Clarke official 4 jaw chuck.
Thank you so much for watching! :-)
Hope you enjoy my video! :-)
Please like, comment and subscribe! :-)

The flexing of the frame and parts is what I was looking for. I had figured out what to do but I’m gonna be doing a little welding. I found that even the motor housing would rock back when tightening the tailstop with very little pressure. Got a couple ideas for that. I think the the slide bars need a couple braces in the middle section attaching the bars to the base on the outside of the bars so the accessories can still slide. I also added a different kind of switch and speed controller.

Thank you for the video. What do you need to do to connect the new chuck to the end of the Motorised spindle?.is the end of the spindle Removable on A male thread? Would you be kind enough to specify the new chuck and from whom one would get it. Thank you.

Is there a drill attachment I can get for the tailstock on this lathe? I've just bought this lathe so would really like to know please.

Hi, I haven't found a drill for the tailstock but if you are quite handy at making then you could probably convert a drill that fits on others to fit on this. I would say it would have to be a complete tailstock that you would have to make rather than something to add to the original one as it's fine for holding the wood in place but not stable enough for absolutely perfect drilling. Thank you for your question and hope this helps, Dave 🙂👌

just got the chuck any tips on centreing work every time

      Hi,
the way I centre the chuck does take a few mins but I use the tool rest and put the tip of one of the edges close to the wood in the chuck and then turn the wood and gauge how close the wood is to the tool rest. If the wood isn't centred then the gap will get bigger and smaller. Then you can loosen the chuck key on the side that has a big gap and tighten the opposite key. I found it best to do small adjustments, half a turn or less and then turn the wood again and see if it's improved enough. Hope this helps, 😀👌
