The way you did this giveaway is honestly a bit sad and disappointing. Now instead of the car being given out fairly with everyone having equal chance and likely to a fan for which the car will mean a lot or can't afford to buy a car like this, this car will go to someone who can afford to buy more tickets. There is nothing inherently wrong it but its just disappointing.
7:45 What I think happened here was that your first coat didn't adhere properly because of surface contamination (oil/grease) then you laid wet paint on top of wet paint before hitting it with a heat gun which caused it to shrivel up like a ballbag in an ice bath. Step 1 - Lightly scuff the surface of the part with 400 grit sandpaper or a scotchbrite pad Step 2 - thoroughly clean the part to remove all dust Step 3 - degrease the part Step 4 - give the part a light dust coat of paint (assuming it's not something that needs primer) and give it enough time to completely dry Step 5 - Give the part another light coat and allow to dry (repeat until colour is uniform) Step 6 - Give it a good 24hrs for the paint to properly harden if you don't want to end up with dents and imperfections Prep and patience is the key to good paint, you can't rush it. If you've got time to clean the crash bar, you've got time to do the paint right.

Here in California, Laguna Seca has a noise limit due to houses being kind of close. Apparently the decibel reader that measures exhaust is on the left side of the track so people use turn down exhausts (the cool ones with a bunch of pie cuts) but angle them to the right so it registers quieter than it is

I love the longer form videos of watching slowly to rebuild a car part by part, as it really deepens my knowledge of what's important to be modded, and what difference it can make to a car the current 1 off episodes of a car is great too! but i don't feel as much connection to a car rebuild/repair as we don't spend as much episodes on them compared to the old "Bananaru" EDIT: something similar to the Porsche rebuild of when this channel started was amazing, and I really loved it, so perhaps a long form rebuild videos like that? Keep up the great work guys!!
I do some model painting in my spare time and spray painting isn't rocket science. The surface needs to be properly cleaned, degreased and dry. Then you lay down a THIN coat from a fixed distance away with only a few passes. After that you let it fully dry before you do another coat. Repeat until the colour looks even and nothing of the base colour/material shines through. You absolutely do not put a heat gun on it but it helps if the workspace is well ventilated for moisture to escape. Anyhow, love the content guys!

When you change the cover gasket.. change the sparkplug gaskets to! The twin oem exhaust tipps on ep3 looks way better than just one single tipp. Great video with a great car👍

7:55 What you have there is a lack of adhesion, proper abrasion (either using a scotch pad or abrasive paper) should be used before hand, giving it a clean with solvent based degreaser after. Hope this helps!
I had an EP3 when new. Collected it Dec 24th 2001 making it a 51 plate. I'd ordered it in June! So probably the first person to order one. I loved that car
Ebc 😮 💩 Also for spraying more or less every kind of aerosol: 1. Light coat. 2. Light-med coat full coverage. 3. Medium coat full coverage Leaving at -least- the quoted drying time of somewhere between 15-25mins between coats to let the vapour out I've been there 😂 if you've got doubts about compatibility of the paint already in there or maybe oil contamination. Use some etch primer first, or better yet vht primer and your odds of success improve greatly 😊 For black items, simoniz 'tough' aerosols are brilliant for badges, grills, doorhandles and engine bay bits. Can't recommend the stuff enough

How are people in flats working on their cars?!

Lol, the Blueprint coil is 50 quid a pop (a bit over 100 if you go for the extremely expensive ones), Delphi is 35 a pop. Around my parts Delphi is not considered anything particularly good. Same as Blueprint, probably worse.

That’s not the case anymore in USA across the pond. They changed they plug in into diagnostic see if there been any reset which I tried fail. U can go with spidered windshield they don’t care at least where I’m at in NYC and New Jersey
As a heads-up, with that steering wheel it STILL won't pass an MOT as it needs a steering wheel with an airbag. MOT states if it was supplied with an airbag from factory, it needs one now.
Noise limits exist because whiny Karen's move in next door to the track and go "oh my gawd they're so loud they're ruining the value of my property" knowing full well there was a fucking track next door the whole time
Yearly MOT seems like quite a pain. Every US state is different, some have something like that, but most don't. In my state, once you buy a vehicle it never needs another inspection. It only has to get inspected if you want to sell it.
double edged sword, on the other hand yearly mot is pain, but then you know you dont have rust buckets with wheels hanging off on the road. Or just generally unsafe cars in general 🤔
In all seriousness, this is the way this channel could be greatly improved. Having more sort of a conclusion on cars. Also some cars, that the audience enjoys more, could stay for multiple episodes.

Because tracks are quite often near domestic areas and the noise travels very very far. I have family that live about 3 miles from donington, and on a clear day, you can hear the track time from the house. So there’s a need to prevent excessive influence on surrounding neighbourhoods.

You need drive on ramps they are only cheap 30 or so for a set if you get 2 sets you can have the car 2ft in the air

Yearly MOT seems like quite a pain. Every US state is different, some have something like that, but most don't. In my state, once you buy a vehicle it never needs another inspection. It only has to get inspected if you want to sell it.
double edged sword, on the other hand yearly mot is pain, but then you know you dont have rust buckets with wheels hanging off on the road. Or just generally unsafe cars in general 🤔

In all seriousness, this is the way this channel could be greatly improved. Having more sort of a conclusion on cars. Also some cars, that the audience enjoys more, could stay for multiple episodes.

I've just got some tickets for the civic.. my uncle has one and owned it from new with 52k on the clock and used about 7 times a year now, and it's a car I've always wanted to own even when we used to go out in it, its just something about the EP3 that is just an amazing car.. fingers crossed I win this 🙏
Because tracks are quite often near domestic areas and the noise travels very very far. I have family that live about 3 miles from donington, and on a clear day, you can hear the track time from the house. So there’s a need to prevent excessive influence on surrounding neighbourhoods.
Was the track there when they bought the house? Hint: it was..
Donington is also in the flight path for East Midlands Airport. I don't think they have a 100db limit for wide body jets though.
