How to rebuild the carbeurator on a stihl 041 farm boss and a little tuning of the carb

Today we rebuild a still 041 farm boss carb because it was boggy at high speed and we couldn’t adjust it out of it so we changed the plug and rebuilt it

the other gasket is for ethanol fuels so you can use witch one you need

I couldn't see the part about removing the filter. Maybe I'll have another go at it under better lighting conditions

If you need to get the carb off just unscrew the black knob on the very top then take the screen which acts as the air filter off then unbolt the couple small nuts that hold the whole assembly on! Thanks for watching!

My father has an 041 which he had from new thinking of getting a head piston and carb kit for it and giving it a new life

That’s a very good idea they are good saws for firewood cutting I can’t get the carb tuned right in this one but I don’t have much experience tuning saw carbs good luck on the rebuild!

@@GameCastCubed wow the old 056 were big saws lots of power my dad used to always run a couple 044s one was a magnum I’ve done some work on those but I run husky’s I’ve got old 51s and am getting a 350 they work good for the cutting I do, thanks for watching and subscribing I hope to have some more videos out soon

This saw is still sitting on the shelf and collecting dust to be honest, I’ve gotten new saws since then and no longer use it, but there are some great videos out there in tuning carbeurators biggest thing I think is to make sure it’s warm and start on factory specs then mess with the low adjustment first
