If you think the singet of black crowes and his brother been inspired by great Otis Reading this was them great goals , just like Rolling Stones from James brown , rock n roll invented by Blacks people in America , the black crowes always tell this , I respect them lot
They hit at a time when hair bands were still the rage and grunge was in. True Rock and roll was in danger of becoming extinct if not for the Black Crowes!
this is how i remember them :) in the 90's... what the hell happened in the '00??? this is one of my all time favorite bands!!!! i was so shocked to see the recent live shows. just doesn't have the same vocal quality anymore.
I was there! After a couple a songs suddenly the power was cut of: no sound and lights... some 15 minutes later everything was reconnected so to speak and the band resumed the song excactly where it so brutely had stopped! Very cool!!!
rockinroller7 I would definately agree that all of rock'n'rolls forefounders, the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly, American class acts definately deserve a great deal of credit in starting the wave and influencing new bands, but bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, The Beatles as you mentioned and of course classic Status Quo were definately the big promoters of the music. It then turned into a joint act with loads of acts rockin' peace man
A "maple leaf"? I usually hate using acronyms, but OMG AYKM? I'm laughing so hard, I'm at a loss for what to write. Thanks for making me laugh on a Sunday morning. Back to the video, great song and lineup for the band. I wished they had held up longer and made that same music after those early albums. I guess becoming advocates for cannabis took it's toll. They could've been icons for new Southern Rock.
To bad the robinson bros. could get along , enough to keep this band rolling on , it was gonna leave a big mark in History than what it did. Together or separately they both bring the talent
I, too, am a Stones fan, and it appears to me these guys are heavily influenced by the Stones. We have that heavy, Keith Richards style rhythm guitar, Ronnie Woods lead guitar licks and the base player even looks like a young Keith Richards which reminds me of a shot of Richards in a top hat in the 1968 production "Rock & Roll Circus". To be sure Robinson does not sound like Jagger but one cannot have it all!
OMG Can I just die now and come back as a groupie for these guys? Never gave them much thought until seeing them on youtube ,there's not a bad one in the group, look at all that hair, and moves so HOT they could make me drop to my knee's!!
I had the pleasure of meeting the brothers. Chris came across generally as gobby and arrogant, but actually quite the reverse. Was very well read and interesting as they both were. We had a long talk about British folk music of all things.
This is definitely some Billy Powell-type "Ticklin" here, and Billy was just a roadie when Skynyrd found out he could play. I'm just thankful they did.
@salynredoran Sadly mistaken dude... It was black sabbath in the sixties... It's called metal because to some people it resembled the sound of a metal factory in burningham england...
@JR45645 Very good. And if you follow that fine Welsh name (Williams) and the music he played, a bit farther back in time to the Appalachian’s and the Anglo/Celtic settlers who made those mountains their home, it becomes clear that it is indeed ‘simple’ as you say; the wheel turns full circle. It’s never ideal to begin a story in the middle old boy.
I like The Stones and B.C. very much. They're good musicians. Jagger and Chris Robinson are both egotistical, talented front men and occasionally annoying, but Robinson is clearly the better singer..more authentic (real) by miles as well.
@salynredoran interesting theory, my friend. I tend to agree, although we may find a number of opponents. Being a Stones fan, I have myself some doubts.
@LeChevalierNoir4474 Robinson moves the mic and jumps like a young Jagger. Stones the top influence on them, with a bit of the Faces. No insult; it made the Crowes a badass band!
rockinroller7, definately, and oops about forgetting Led Zepplin, John Bonham best drummer ever. Yeah Clapton, Cream quality, moving onto American bands you still have the immortal Frank Zappa, classic southern rock acts like Lynard Skynard and Black Crowes, and then Britain picked up the flag with rock indie, Stone Roses and The Smiths... American music, Gods of Hardrock, I love new bands like Priestess and Black Stone Cherry. And of course the Aussies, AC/DC, legends. peace man
Chris looks like the heroine of some tragic piece of victorian theatre. Unfortunately, due to the film-making I think, this performance is quite lifeless.
Why can't we just say humans created this great music and all celebrate its greatness as its enhanced our lives.

Veey true!
It is 30th of August 2024, 31 years after this performance and we played this song on our reherseal. It is so great, so cool, we're going to cover it.
One of my favorite 90'ies rock band. Why? So good live.
From spain , this song has a fantastic Riff , The black crowes are the AMERICAN Rolling ....
That there is real rock n roll, doesn’t get any better folks
These guys are in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.
And not the rock n roll hall of fame....
this is how i remember them :) in the 90's... what the hell happened in the '00??? this is one of my all time favorite bands!!!! i was so shocked to see the recent live shows. just doesn't have the same vocal quality anymore.
Black Crowes é demais!!

This group kept rock and roll Stewart stones style going but at their own originality . one of rock and rolls top bands
The Black Crowes, The Most Rock n'Roll Band of all times!!!

To bad the robinson bros. could get along , enough to keep this band rolling on , it was gonna leave a big mark in History than what it did. Together or separately they both bring the talent

What a time🕒🕞🕓 of life .. of seeing it & living IT❗❗
Johnny Colt is just too cool for school.
It is crazy what we can make in music by mixing style, kind(genre) and sound
It is alive
Y was there!!! It was amazing!

are you looking at the same thing i am? terrible mix weedy bunch of musicians ripping off tumbling dice by the stones
@@djizzah Not ripping off....Musicians have been appropriating others' music forever. Stones have done it as much as any other band.
@occhioallallocco The roots of R&R are rooted in black churches in the deep south in the U.S.
Fire it up!
WOW
I had the pleasure of meeting the brothers. Chris came across generally as gobby and arrogant, but actually quite the reverse. Was very well read and interesting as they both were. We had a long talk about British folk music of all things.
it doesn't matter mate because British bands started Rock'n'roll in the first place. so we are even :D love this band
Damn the lead guitarist is stoned out of his mind!
Listen carefully: this is how you play rock piano
Nicky hopkins was a bad mofo too
The piano playing is reminiscent of the late Billy Powell from Lynyrd Skynyrd!
Mr. Harsch...(RIP)
This is definitely some Billy Powell-type "Ticklin" here, and Billy was just a roadie when Skynyrd found out he could play. I'm just thankful they did.
for once, rock piano was NOT buried in the mix ❤
@salynredoran Sadly mistaken dude... It was black sabbath in the sixties... It's called metal because to some people it resembled the sound of a metal factory in burningham england...
Gorman is like.....damnit Chris, you're too stoned again 😅😅
Always I liked The Black Crows, but ya think the Robinson brothers just might have listened to Rod and The Faces when they were growin' up? ;)
LOL...Ya think !?! :)

Jealousy you know it's a kinda thing man some people suffer from it.However being on the receiving end of it ain't much fun
Hier was ik bij....

Jagger was authentic when he was younger. he became a parody of himself starting with the 78 & 81 tours 😣
pow o chris e foda ele canta muito
Keren habis
Steve Gorman Sports on Fox Sports Radio
@salynredoran Correction. Southern Americans invented rock n' roll - Confederate States, "Rebel" States.
@salynredoran AFRICAN-Americans invented Rock 'n' Roll, thank you. Europeans dropped the "Roll" rhythms and made it "rock".
ROOOLLLIINNGGGG STOOOOONNNEEE
it's weed that made me enjoy this video
@salynredoran interesting theory, my friend. I tend to agree, although we may find a number of opponents. Being a Stones fan, I have myself some doubts.

Silver Jubilee. That's all i need to know about this video. OH THE TONE!
Blues came from the Blacks & Americans came from Europe.
i guess you're right
@BigP1903 Maybe he got the lyrics confused with Tumblin' Dice.
Bass player reminds me of keith richards. Go chris robinson!!!
