The local neighbourhood Bobbie is long gone. It increases authoritarian control if there’s a detachment between the police and the public They should be nice and polite but ready to bash someone at a moments notice if needed - they struggle with that if the person is John from the pub plus you can more easily be ID’d and held accountable

They paid my fees and a small settlement and got a big bollocking from the magistrate to boot.

The power of an intelligent, articulate and knowledgeable auditor like FP is brilliant viewing as coppers must think oh shit! our usual “current climate” “you must appreciate” etc isn’t going to play…
My favourite UK auditor by a 100 miles. He's got everything, knowledge, confidence, humour, self-control, educated, intelligent, excellent communication skills and sharp as a pin. The cops tell him he's not allowed to be here, there and everywhere and FP says 'I am' and then the paid professional 'law enforcer' say's 'oh I'll have to take your word for that then cos I don't know'. Cops don't rely on their knowledge of the law to get people to do what they demand, they rely on the abuse of authority, intimidation, false claims, lies etc. If I got as much wrong in my job as they do I wouldn't be employed for long. The cop thought he was smart, he was well and truly outwitted and knew it. It hurt his ego far more than he showed. Brilliant responses to the 'nice' policeman's paranoia and persistent attempts to get sympathetic agreement with his feeling of un-comfortability with someone filming in a car park.
Just watched again for about the fifth time, totally rinsed them in the most articulate, intelligent yet at the same time subtly brutal (if possible) manner I’ve seen from any photographer/auditor I’ve seen, I think the smithy p.c had to have a long period of reflection after this one. Need more from you please
I have a photo of me on holiday in Devon aged 10yo in 1977, i am stood outside the gate of Dartmoor prison, and behind me is a sign that says 'no photographs'. I thought my dad was very daring at the time, now i now he was just auditing.
Both cops seem affable enough but the Paranoia that seems to infect all law-enforcement nowadays, is a threat to any positive interaction. This is part of the disconnect and I think the powers that be want it this way. The talkative Cop seemed brainwashed and unable to comprehend social norms. A good interview but somehow troubling.
I don’t think they’re paranoid at all. I believe the truth is they don’t like it and can’t stand that they’re not in control. That’s why you often get, go away, what you’re doing, give us your name, you could be a terrorist, you’re filming private vehicles, safety risk - anything they can try to throw at you to stop something they simply don’t like. I don’t believe any policemen honestly is scared of a random car they drive being posted online - just a lie.
I'd disagree. Affable denotes easy to talk to and generally good natured. While at certain points this could describe his attitude and his words it's quickly nullified when in the same breath friendly rather abruptly turns rude curtly asking FP to 'jog on' without skipping a beat And does so uniformed, expecting that because he's in fancy dress anything he might 'ask' is not merely a request you're free to accept or decline but rather an order that shall be obeyed or else. This is equally unacceptable as voicing 'not as an officer but as a human' thoughts / feelings / opinions etc. while wearing the badge. And worse still attempting to pass them off as rationale for unlawful orders. Remember, you have to understand, as in if you wish to stand it will be under him and with his authorisation. Insubordination will result in forced submission. Personally, and I'm sure many share the sentiment, I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
@@petermchugh4743 Exactly not paranoia at all. Just the uncontrollable urge to roll out their inflated ego and hand out directives to a lowly member of the public. Attempting to exercise their authority obviously gives them a sense of self worth and in some small way might offer them some balance for all the times the public shouted "filthy wanker piglet" at them that day.
The power of an individual knowing their rights and the law. Priceless. Oh, rapier wit, a funny bone and a face for behind a camera clearly helps too! Loved it!
Good to see an auditor that is knowledgeable, calm and doesn't stoop way down to the Grunts level where it all becomes a playground p*ssing contest that achieves nothing.
Focus Pocus - a few other auditors have mentioned your exceptionally sharp intellect, and humour; KoleeBerks in particular. So I thought I'd just mosy on over to your channel, and this was the first video I came across. I'm not surprised because they were spot on. You're very knowledgeable and very funny. I love the unconcealed expletives when trying to get your tech sorted out. Great bit of dialogue between you and the two officers (who seemed really okay).
That was a fabulously good reasoned argument, very well deliverd and pretty well conclusively proved your point. Unfortunately it only works with reasonable people, luckily he was. Looking forwards to hearing the same argument presented to the average constable. It should have the same result, but I bet it can turn out very differently sometimes ?? Great video. 👍
Somewhat like your typical Covidian. You can't disabuse them of their fears through reason and facts; you cannot reason a person out of a position into which they were panicked. Or, as Mark Twain said, it's easier to fool a man than convince him he's being fooled.
I bow to your verbal Judo skills, Sensei 🖖 His paranoia and ego just couldn't let him accept your astute logic. You are indeed the master (you're flipping funny too) 10/10 👍
Watching from Ireland.. without doubt this was a brilliant audit.. well done, it was articulate, polite, and showed the police that not all auditors/photographers are hostile.. well done 👍👍
Though the PC's acted polite, they were on a fishing trip. A legal activity like photography in public cannot be weird or strange, no matter what the subject is, as the police always claims. I liked the way you corrected the PC who stood there as a hork, with his hands in his pockets.
Please do more, it's heartening to see these done in a respectful, lighthearted manner and some of the interactions are hilarious :) Keep up the good work !
Focus Pocus ... undoubtedly the best auditor / PINAC activist in the UK. Intelligent, informed and witty without the aggression displayed by most other UK auditors. Kudos also to the officer you engaged with who was also intelligent, polite and none aggressive ... a good listener too (I would bet he was a great salesman in his previous career in retail. Listening is one of the greatest assets a salesman can have and this has obviously served him well in his transition into a policeman ?). More of the same please from yourself. Thanks .

"I feel uncomfortable", "You have to understand", "Obviously", "We are having a conversation", "Under the present climate". Five popular corny phrases out of the Police Handbook? How pathetic!
I used to work in an Unemployment Benefit Office. I had to tell 6'6" ex-cons that their benefit was being stopped. I had no weapons or tasers. The staff car park was public and there was nothing we could do about it. One lady, just a working class woman doing a job to put food on the table had her car burned out on her driveway. What the police are asking here is for their cars to receive preferential treatment. For a special exemption. I can't see the justification for that
The police feel uncomfortable with having their car's and number plates photographed in the police station car park. Well why park it there. If someone wont's to find out their address, there are some simply ways to do it without carrying a shed load of camera gear and sticking out like a sore thumb. The only reason they park there is it's free.
This is the highest standard of all the auditors, that by which all others are judged. His composition of videos, aerial shots, general standard of photography, use of proper music as opposed to the same unlicensed codswallop others use and his highly intelligent and knowledgable (and witty!!) interactions are all legendary stuff.
People on watch lists for being national threats get less attention than someone with a camera....just saying.
"What's the scope of the offer?"
An Absolute beautiful, quick and funny response. Nice one.
A really intelligent man, his arguments are brilliant and his grasp of law baffles the supposed upholders of the law…..
Every MOD establishment used to have a sign saying “No Photographs” until it was pointed out that they are illegal.
I have a photo of me on holiday in Devon aged 10yo in 1977, i am stood outside the gate of Dartmoor prison, and behind me is a sign that says 'no photographs'. I thought my dad was very daring at the time, now i now he was just auditing.
Still says that on a rusty sign on the gates of GCHQ Bude. I have the photographs to prove it....🤣
If he/the police find someone using a camera, in a pulic place uncomfortable, then he's in the wrong profession 👌
He feels uncomfortable, how terrible, he's felt nothing yet.
Great articulate point you have made.
While at certain points this could describe his attitude and his words it's quickly nullified when in the same breath friendly rather abruptly turns rude curtly asking FP to 'jog on' without skipping a beat
And does so uniformed, expecting that because he's in fancy dress anything he might 'ask' is not merely a request you're free to accept or decline but rather an order that shall be obeyed or else.
Attempting to exercise their authority obviously gives them a sense of self worth and in some small way might offer them some balance for all the times the public shouted "filthy wanker piglet" at them that day.
easily, one of the best audit videos i have seen....engaging, enlghtenng as well as educational.
Didn't know James Cordon joined our police force 😂
The power of an individual knowing their rights and the law. Priceless.
Oh, rapier wit, a funny bone and a face for behind a camera clearly helps too!
Loved it!
Having watched some of the absolute pretenders during Focus Pocus' absence, all I can say is that this is how it should be done. 10/10.
Good to see an auditor that is knowledgeable, calm and doesn't stoop way down to the Grunts level where it all becomes a playground p*ssing contest that achieves nothing.
100% agree..!
I love the way you handle the police very classy 👏 cheers from Texas
🇮🇪☘️💯
🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Auditors needed in Ireland.
This is my first time watching Focus Pocus. I really enjoyed his articulate discussion and his clear knowledge of the law. He has a new subscriber!
Excellent audit and wonderful exchange with a very polite and engaging officer.
Though the PC's acted polite, they were on a fishing trip. A legal activity like photography in public cannot be weird or strange, no matter what the subject is, as the police always claims. I liked the way you corrected the PC who stood there as a hork, with his hands in his pockets.
He was spinning away ... trying to catch a pike.
No luck Haha
That was an absolute masterclass.. 10 out of 10 ♥♥
Oh its so good your back, quality over quantity. Thank you sir.
Well said.
A bit more wouldn’t hurt though!
You are brilliant 👏👏 hats off to you 🤩 great work and I have learned a lot from this video, thank you 👍
Respect from Australia 👍
Your audits are terrific 👍
I salute you FP 👏
Keep well......
Keep em coming 👍
Best wishes from a big Australian fan👍
Please do more, it's heartening to see these done in a respectful, lighthearted manner and some of the interactions are hilarious :) Keep up the good work !
By far the best UK auditor. Has the coppers wrapped round his little finger within minutes. Always great to watch. Keep it up.
Thanks .
I watch loads of audits and just come across yours, brilliant videos, just watched a few and subscribed, thanks buddy
Police and auditor both very articulate and zero tension. Bravo.
I watch numerous auditors and you Sir are by far the best 👏 I just wish you would upload regularly.
To be honest I found this a rather good audit nice interaction between both sides and the officer allowed you to talk, Nice arguments from both sides... Love your audits......
Imagine if the police turned up every time you felt uncomfortable or concerned.
I lost my TV remote control 2 months ago,I phoned 999, they were very helpful ,told me it was probably between the cushions on the sofa, it helped me quell my concerns.Money well spent.😉
@@ianhill4585 Ooh! Don't you just love sarcy comments? I'm glad you feel better now. You must have spoken to a detective - I would never have deducted that the control was where he said it probably was!!
😂😂😂😂
Love auditors but first time I've seen your channel was today.
I love the way you do it.
What an eloquent and articulate, intelligent argument you put. Very well done. Every copper should be watching this.
You dissected his arguments so eloquently I almost got a stiffie.
A wmd.. sect 43 right there!
"You don't deal with the people we deal with" - why aren't you out dealing with them instead of wasting your time "having a conversation" with someone who is breaking no laws?
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety" is a quote and motto attributed to Benjamin Franklin, nobody does Audits like Focus Pocus.
Loved that US military audit you did. I liked how you eased down that one guy who was tryin to belittle them saying "They're not used to photography" and you responded they have the 1ST AM which is stronger in protecting of rights. I def sub'd after that 👊🏽👊🏽👍🏽👍🏽
hi, just recently got into audits & found FP today, very interested to look at the one you mentioned any chance you remember a title or anything pls? Tried a few keywords to find it myself n cant seem to (unless they were based at the RAF base one if so ignore this as going to watch that now!), thx either way all the best fi Scotland, cheers
Wow , so great you quoted Lincoln , that's been my favourite quote since I was a little kid , I'm now 60 . Good audit !!
When an officer is wearing a uniform and badge he/she should only talk about law not feelings or concerns.
I have lots of personal opinions that I have no business going on about at work.
P.C waffles hurty feelings 🤡
Mate you were spot on with everything you said, this is the best audit I’ve ever seen.👍😊
If the rozzers interacted properly with " WE THE PEOPLE " then they wouldn't have a guilty conscience and maybe not so paranoid,. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have seen lots of these kind of videos and this guy is by far and by a long Way very good and much more clued up and articulates very well. Keep up the good work 👏. Best I have seen yet
Intelligent... articulate. Informative .... a new breed of auditor. Well done mate
Almost art! This is how it should be done, a master at work. More please
"Can I help you?" actually means "What are you doing!"
I used to manage fibre optic installs part of my job was to price up and work out routes …. People in a sort of snotty tone would say can I help you I used can you splice fibre instal cable tray they’d so no … my answer was no you can’t then 😀
Just love how he knows his stuff and just makes them look stupid with his calm and funny demeanor. Quoting Franklin was a master stroke - they didnt have a clue. And why is James Corden on here? Please do more.
Brilliant video. Can't believe I've only just discovered your channel. 👌
Just discovered you today. Watching them all day. Stalking you in the ,moments now. Love the editing and music mate. Got your own style
Get the bus to work if they are that bothered.
as the man said...change the law...or does that make you uncomfortable ?
No sympathy for DWP staff - they destroy people's lives.
James Corden got new job?
I love how calm and professional you are. The one thing i would really love to point out is the Tone of voice you always use is outstanding.
First time watching you...very professional way to audit...loved it
This is the highest standard of all the auditors, that by which all others are judged. His composition of videos, aerial shots, general standard of photography, use of proper music as opposed to the same unlicensed codswallop others use and his highly intelligent and knowledgable (and witty!!) interactions are all legendary stuff. It'll be a fair while before anyone, British or American, get anywhere near this quality.
