Mixes are what I’m giving for Christmas. I have powdered butter, milk & egg so the mixes are add water only. I just tried a cookie with cranberries and white chocolate chips - YUM. I’m still trying some others to decide what to give. I’m also giving ranch & taco seasoning and vanilla extract that I forgot about last year. Dry taco soup and cornbread would be great too
I went to the store to get corn bread mix. I’m a label reader. I was shocked that you can’t get non GMO corn bread mix anymore! So, I bought non GMO & organic corn meal from Azure. Will be making this for sure! Oh I made your brownie’s too! YUM! Certainly drool worthy! 🤤 You’re officially my fav YT’er! Thank you so much for these recipes!
I appreciate the work you are doing here. Our home doesn't need anything that makes it faster to bake a batch of brownies, lol. As much as we work on stocking up, I can see one advantage to these homemade mixes is avoiding the "Hey, I'll bake some brownies," and finding out you don't have enough of a key ingredient. Similar to freezer meals... it's a way of investing the time and effort... when you have the time and energy!
I love this! Such a good idea for bulk batches to store in the pantry. I like the corners of the brownies and I bought a pan that makes individual brownies like a muffin tin except there square instead of round.
Hi Tamara. I really appreciate all the research you must do in order to get all the ingredients together to make these homemade "copy cats!" You are a great inspiration and great teacher. TFS. Hugs.
Yay I love these videos alot... So very creative to come up with all these ❤ Thank you so very much for everything you do on your awesome channel.. Your a very smart lady in your kitchen and it's Awesome ❤❤ Everyone have a Blessed evening
I had a craving for brownies but I always make them from box mix. I didn’t have any today so I made them from scratch for the first time ever! I don’t think I’ll be buying boxed again. And its cheaper to make from scratch. I’m a middle and corner brownie girl!
I love my mix for corn bread. I have gone through many but my husband likes the jiffy so I found one which is just like it. I would say that I have to add almost 2/3 cup of milk instead of the 1/3 in jiffy. But mine is one mix per jar so I dump and go and don’t have to measure. We add 1/3 c sugar to jiffy and the mix. If you want to try it look at the recipe list at NOVA Frugal Family. Sadly we haven’t found any homemade brownies we like as much as store bought mix.
I think it’s also nice to know that if you do buy a mix and you don’t use it before it goes bad or stale you can dump it in a jar and seal it to preserve it even longer.
I’m totally making the corn bread mix for my husband! He doesn’t like any sugar in his corn bread so I can just omit the sugar in the recipe for him and it’s impossible to find a mix that doesn’t at least have a little bit of sugar in it. I always have to make it from scratch so this will be more convenient.
Love your kitchen! We had the heart pine cabinets in our first home and they are so sturdy. Also love the vintage Tupperware and pyrex..some things do stand the test of time!
I've made mixes in my mason jars before, and just had my kids add the ingredients to the jar, add the lid back and shake up the batter directly in the jar. The kids love to do it and less cleanup!
Now I want brownies😋. I’m with you a little gooey center and a little crunchy edge! Love these make it homemade vids! That sweet cornbread mix you could adjust recipe for blueberry cornbread and use it up!
Thanks for the mix recipes. I’m a celiac so I’m going to adjust to make these mixes GF and SF. I’m going to make the cornbread with adjustment before I seal up a few jars.
Great dry batch recipes. For you vacuum sealing on jars, I noticed you used new lids to vacuum seal. You can reuse canning lids on jars. They hold the seal great. I vacuum seal jars for dry goods for years. They are not being pressure canned so the seal is not as strong a process. Thought you might want to save the new jars for the food that you need to know is sealed.
I’m not good anymore at breading my fried chicken or air fried chicken. I love your channel. You show us how to use your mixes. I hope you show us how you use your canned goods and mixes. I’m looking for a chicken breading. Maybe with flour, corn starch, dry eggs etc. I don’t really know how to guess at the ingred amounts. I thought you might be able to help me with a chicken dry batter that I can add milk or water and have great breading. Ty
Make sure to put a paper cupcake liners over full dry ingredients when sealing your jars. It prevents dry particles from clogging the filter on your vacuum sealer.
I want to try these using Splenda instead of sugar. My husband is diabetic so I started buying sugar free brownies & cake mix but anything with malitol gives him stomach issues but he is good with Splenda. Thx Tamara. Honestly something I wouldn't think to do
This is so awesome and a little creepy at the same time! I am doing dry mixes as gifts for Christmas this year. Brownies are not one of them but cornbread is. Great minds think alike!
Tamara, do you have a recipe for making au gratin potatoes like the Betty Crocker boxed ones using dehydrated potatoes? I would love to have a recipe for the cheese sauce that is used.
I personally think it’s fine for at least a year if not longer as long as it’s properly sealed. I always check all my sealed jars once a week, so I can reseal if I need too.
That is a great idea to take air out of canning dryer items could you use that on all dried food like nuts. I also like the idea to make you own boxed items. Thanks for all you staple ideas. Now a days you need to be more watchful of where you money is going
When you break the seal of one of the jars to use the portion you need for your recipe, can you use the same seal and process to reseal it? I like both the center and edges of brownies.

Hey! You must be new here! I don’t give measurements if it’s not my recipes. I share a ton of recipes from fellow youtubers and bloggers. If I gave measurements you wouldn’t have to click their link to get the recipe. So I’d be taking away from all their hard work for creating it! I always link recipes in the description box if it’s my recipes or others! Thanks for watching ❤️
I have an honest question: isn't it simply cheaper to keep cornmeal on hand?! I will say for me personally everyday homemade cornbread tastes better. I'm not being rude it's an honest question. Of course I was born and raised in the north west Georgia mountain's and down here homemade is considered best.
It's not just the cornmeal, though 😂 From experience I can honestly say that when you decide to make homemade cornbread, you will be out of everything 😂So keeping a mix stashed away is a good idea.
I’m a kinda confused when you go to the recipe it has you to mix all the ingredients. Do you have the recipe from using the prepared mix that I’m missing. Thanks
Recipes are always linked in the description box. Those are not my recipes, so I can’t just give it away. If I told you the measurements you wouldn’t clip the bloggers link. They wouldn’t get credit and get paid. Bloggers get paid by website clicks. I’m not taking credit away from my fellow recipe creators. Thank you.
NO SUGAR IN MY CORNBREAD IF HAVE TO PUT ONLY TEASPOON. ONIONS 🧅 AN JALAPEÑOS 🌶️ AN GARLIC 🧄 GOTTA HAVE WALNUTS IN FUDGE OR BROWNIES AN SOMETIMES COCONUT.
The corn bread one I need.we had chill and the stores had none. Love you helping us.
Love these videos!
Thank you for sharing Tamara have a blessed day stay safe and healthy. Clever ideal you go girl. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏

This is what I like about your video...variety!!

Good afternoon angel girl and everyone else 😇 God bless you and your family. Have a blessed day 😇 Love you guys 😇🥰
Omg you have a Tupperware canister. I haven't seen one in yeears.
Hey, Tamara 🧡🍁🌻. I love these ❤. Thank you so much for sharing with us!!!

Giving the brownie mix as a gift is a GREAT idea! 🤩
The brownies look delicious. I’m sure the cornbread was good too. Thank you for sharing.
I agree-these would make nice gifts. Thanks for the inspiring video…🥰

Remember, Aldies has lowered the price of food for the month of November for Thanksgiving. Also Walmart lowered some of their prices to.
I’ve got my list ready and headed to ALDIs as soon as I’m done with my coffee 😜
The cranberries were not any cheaper for Nov I just got 10 bags same price as normal. .99cents
Love these videos. They're greatly appreciated.

Me,too. The middle & corners of the brownies.
I had to go make the brownies after watching your video and they are so good! Way better than box.
Love your channel
cool
Love this idea. I was thinking of doing some dry mixes for Christmas gifts. Perfect timing my friend. Your videos are well orchestrated.

I've been looking for a brownie mix to do this with. This one looks like one I would definitely like.
Got these in the oven now. Prepared exactly as recipe. Will comment after trying them.
Brownies were good, not too sweet, not too gooey, not too cake like, husbands say’s they are a keeper. 😊 Thank you for the video and recipes.
Hey hey girl ❤️🙌❤️
Those both were making my mouth water. Especially the brownies. Thanks for sharing.
I think it’s also nice to know that if you do buy a mix and you don’t use it before it goes bad or stale you can dump it in a jar and seal it to preserve it even longer.
Amazing a perfect brownie. Mine always stick😊

Now I’m gonna have to find that extra sweet cornbread mix .. that’s what I like with broccoli cheese soup 😋 thanks 😊
I will definitely be making some of these to store in my pantry!
What a great kitchen! Ty...
Definatly will try the brownie 😁 Manchester England. 💐
Both of these are great ideas. And perfect timing for Christmas gifts, too! Corner or middle brownie? Both... please & thank you 😂.
Definitely doing the brownie mix!! Thank you for doing this
Thank you for sharing !😉🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴

I sub Splenda for almost everything with no problems 👍🏻

Tamara, do you have a recipe for making au gratin potatoes like the Betty Crocker boxed ones using dehydrated potatoes? I would love to have a recipe for the cheese sauce that is used.
I do plan on making on soon! ❤️ I have to get a few ingredients that you will need to make it shelf stable!
I love these ideas. How long are the mixes shelf stable?
As long as they have a good seal I use them. It’s just dry ingredients. ❤️ I’d google it if it’s a worry for you.
I think that's the brownie recipe I use
I made your brownie mix but it was more on the fudge side. Which I was hoping more for a cake texture. But it was still good.
How long do you think the shelf life of your corn bread or brownies mix be good for ?
I personally think it’s fine for at least a year if not longer as long as it’s properly sealed. I always check all my sealed jars once a week, so I can reseal if I need too.

Yes!
Thank you for the video. MY QUESTION is: Do you vacuum seal the jar with the sugar in it. Will the sugar harden??
Nope. You are vacuum sealing it. So it sucks all the air out. You wouldn’t want to put a oxygen absorber in with sugar because it will get hard.
@@SouthernWifeEverydayLife thank you for your quick reply. I'm a newbie, and I must have misunderstood. I thought you couldn't vacuum seal sugar. 😊
Hiiiii. How long can they in your pantry?
I personally think it’s fine for at least a year if not longer as long as it’s properly sealed. I always check all my sealed jars once a week, so I can reseal if I need too.
Please mention the measurements when doing the video. It makes it so much easier to watch and learn.

I tried to look at Amazon please tell me name of your sealer
No sugar in southern cornbread
How do i find powdered eggs and powdered butter. Than if i did all powders. How much water to add to mix it up. Just wondering
Everything is linked in my amazon store front. The dried foods is under prepper
What about cookies mix
I don’t make cookie mix. I bulk batch my cookie dough and freeze it.
I could measure out enough per batch and mylar bag them with oxygen absorbers
If you are using sugar in the mixes you shouldn’t add oxygen absorbers.

I’m a kinda confused when you go to the recipe it has you to mix all the ingredients. Do you have the recipe from using the prepared mix that I’m missing. Thanks
It tells you in the recipes how to prepare the dry ingredients for storage and how to mix in the wet ingredients when you go to make it.
It would have been very helpful if you had told us the measurements of each ingredient as you went along.
