I live in the U.K. and was so pleased to hear you mention the amount of salt some channels are using. I never add salt to my cooking, I leave it to others to add at the table if they wish to. Mum never added it, so it’s not something I miss. In fact, restaurant food always tastes too salty to me! I love having dry mixes ready. I have an allbran cake mix bottled so hubby can set one off if he needs one, and he just adds milk. I use a mug, to get a 2lb loaf tin sized cake. 1mug of self raising flour, 1mug dried fruit, 1 mug all bran (or weetabix if preferred) half mug sugar (I don’t like mine too sweet, enough sugar with the dried fruit), all into a jar. When yo7 wan5 to use it, add 1 mug milk of your choice, leave it to soak up the flour for 20mins, and bake for 40mins approx on 170/ gas 4 until skewer comes out clear. It’s a cross between a barbarity and a malt loaf in texture. Nice with butter on, or as it comes.
This was a masterful way to manage food preparation. I live in NYC and, unfortunately, are not able to grow herbs but buy in bulk instead. These seasoning blends are sold here for $8 to $12 dollars each. Prepping the bulk seasoning jars for this part of the country is a bonanza of savings. Thank you for this.
Finally! Someone on You Tub e who navigates their kitchen as I do. Herky-jerky on good days, cyclonic on other days, using lots of work-arounds. Love the recipes, too, and was happy to see them written in the description box. Thanks a bunch.
Hi Kym, that was alot of mixing there !! but will be great when you reap the benefits. I love fruit cobblers and I like a savoury cobbler too. The jars you made look like great gifts and the brownies look delicious, I will definitely try substituting with applesauce in recipes. Lots of love to you and dear Frankie Xx 🐾🐱💕

Hi Pam. I am new to your channel. It popped up on my feed today and I am so glad it did. Today is Oct 20th 2023. I am very excited to make these mixes and give them as gifts. I look forward to more of your videos. God Bless you 🩷
Hello new to your channel. I am from southern stock😂🤣 so our cobblers are simply cup a flour, cup a sugar, cup a milk and 1 stick melted butter in the pan.
I do the same thing because you can add salt like you said at the table because you can always add but you can't take out. Another good reason to us because some pepole can't have salt Medical reasons especially if your making if for someone.😊
I am a bit late on watching this video. I worked three 12 hour shifts over the weekend and life has been busy so I am playing catch up on some videos. Did you make those cute mason jar tags on your Cricut? I made mason jar tags for the favors for my son’s wedding. I love mason jar decor. Also, I have to go back and check the brownie recipe against a few other recipes I have used. It seems very similar, which means it is delicious. I was going to put together a few brownie mixes to have on hand, but I was going to use plastic containers. Why didn’t I think of mason jars? I have plenty! Loves the video. So many great ideas.

I agree on the salt Debra! I’m not salt sensitive but too much salt is unhealthy for sure. Your mix sounds amazing too-thank you for sharing!
Sounds lovely

New to your channel. The Italian seasoning has quite a bit of salt. Regular, celery, and garlic.
You can omit the salt and/or use garlic powder versus garlic salt
This is a great way to save money my question is what's the lifespan of making your own mixes
Stored on a cool dry place a year for baking mixes, longer for spice mixes
Good morning Kym, 57 views and no comments Mmm nice to have dry mixes on hand :-) Hello Frankie :-)

Hi from Australia! They look awesome! Can I ask where you got your recipe cards.?
Sure! I actually found them at a dollar store years ago! I can’t remember how long but it was at dollar tree
You can even get the bobs red mill powdered egg replacer and put in the dry mix too for your vegan friends or family members
Great suggestion Peggy! Thank you!
Those brownies look delicious :-)

Nicely done. Can you substitute cacao for the cocoa? I can’t believe I’ve never made homemade brownies!

I would reduce the salt in the seasoning blend by allot
That’s the great part of making your own mixes! I like being able to do that as well
This will seem like a dumb question, but do you sterilize the jars for the dry mixes? or just hot water washup, rinse and let dry?
I just run through the dishwasher or hand wash and dry!
