Nice tutorial. I have the same dosing containers on my Red Sea Reefer. I took a razor blade and removed all Voss labeling for a nice clean look. Great containers and easy to fill.

good video but never drill while holding the cap in your hand encase you push it too far always drill on a solid object.

I used the same bottles for mine several years ago! Except, I drilled the hole slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the soft tubing and pulled the tube through so that there was about 3/4 of and inches, roughly 19mm, on the inside. Then I inserted the acrylic tube into 3/4” piece and ran the outer link of tube to the dosing pump.
Hi I have a question we’re did you get the acrylic tubing that you put in the Voss bottle please I have softer the bottles softer I just need the other stuff.

don't hold it in your hand and drill in the direction of your hand, ever. hold it on something firm and drill.
What size / length of acrylic rod do i need i cant find it using the links?

just getting the kit.... your link for the acrylic tubing takes me to a 10mm external diameter tube. Is it definitely a 6mm external tube as your video suggests. Cheers
Wont the pressure build up in the bottle and pull the liquid back down or is it not air tight?

Just went on Link and it said the 3 items was purchased together tubing bulkheads x5 plus acrylic tube. I take it the acrylic tube is the right size ? As iv just purchased all 3 as recommended
Why the bulkhead? Couldn't get the same thing just drilling a hole - or is it just to stop spillages if it falls over or something? Also - the blue clips - you told us we need to remove it, then don't remove it on the 2nd :-) You only need to remove it to get the pipe out.

Hi Aaron great video by the way, my question is I'm just half way through Amazon buying the products now and I'm buying 4 bottles as I'll have one of nopox but how many of the hollow acrylic tubes would I need to buy that go inside the bottles? 👍
I'd like to see this in action or an example of it ready to be connected to the dosing pump.
While you where in the process of modifying the lid you extracted (and discarded the white foam insert inside the cap... I think I would have rather kept that as its purpose is to keep the original contents (water) from leaking out... This would have also kept your bottle from leaking - especially that you have an "active'' liquid inside the bottle.. Cutting a hole through this would not have been to much of an problem.

Nice video and quite helpful my question deals with attaching the 1/8"/3mm ID silicon tubing to the 1/4"/6mm OD acrylic tube how did you get the 1/4" tube into the 1/8" line? Also the link to the 1/4" acrylic tube is now taking you to a 5-1/4" tube not 1/4"
My exact question! I think place the end of the silicone hose into a cup of boiling water, then push....HARD! Just a guess....

That's correct. Put the hose in some boiling water. This will slightly soften the hose making it more malleable it will then fit over the rod and create a tight seal.

Very useful video except your link for acrylic tubing goes to 10mm tubing. I spent £10 on this only to find it doesn't fit!! 🙄
