Your videos are very helpful. I started dosing (by hand) Red Sea Foundation and Red Sea Ak,Mg and Ca. My water parameters are still fluctuating like you said. I only have two Zoa's ,Acan and a Trumpet Coral. They are doing great since I started dosing. Hope to get a dosing machine early next year. My tank has only been going since December 2017. Trying to cut down a little diatom action right now. I still have the Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 skimmer you demonstrated a while back,it's doing a great job. Thanks for your videos. Dan
Thankyou for this video. Very nicely explained! 👌 I am eventually going to use a doser and was prior to this video not fully understanding this concept.😊👍
You could but you would Need to figure out how to have a sensor tell the doser when to fill and when to stop. By the time your done you could have saved more money and time just going with an ato
After you wait 4 days to figure out how much your tank is using on a daily basis, shouldn’t you dose back to 8.5 (for example) and then start dosing the next day...which in theory will bring it back to 8.5 and keep it there daily?
Is auto dosing mainly for stocked tanks? Figuring out the daily consumption is pretty straight forward, but As corals grow and as we continue to stock our tank, the average daily consumption of ALK will obviously go up. For someone who's starting a reef tank, how often do you recalculate your daily consumption? Let say you're adding a frag a week.
Eat Sleep please consider doing this smart advance upgrade setup to AutoAqua Awc and ato. To make more reliable and accurate for a cheap all in one please. Thank you.
After I set up my doser and now know the amount to dose daily. What happens when I do water changes ? Do I have to re program ? Or shut off doser ? What’s the procedure since the Alk will change after a water change ?
How do you figure out your tank volume? Lets say if i got a 75 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump its supposed to be 95 but with rocks and sand its less.
So if my alkalinity on day 1 is 6.8 and I desire it to be 8.0 I would dose according to BRS calculator(I'm using their chemicals) then test again on day 4....and says it's 7.2.....how do I do the math?? divide wht by 4?? CONFUSED
Hi all! quick question, when my pump doesn't proceed to dosage for some time (like 24h), the inlet tube liquid slowly flows back to the solution container. What can i do about it because i thought peristaltic would retain the liquid when off ?
Do dosing containers need an air breather hole? I have the coral box 3 part container and i have to leave the lid cracked in order to prevent the lid from becoming vacuumed shut when the pump runs...
Low budget solutions..
Thats what we all need, love your tutorials broh!!
Great video! Would it be possible in the future to do a walk through of setting it up and doing the math, for all is visual learners? Cheers
Ya no problem

Glad you enjoy the vids Dan. Hooking up a doser surely would help out a lot with stability and make it a lot more enjoyable for ya :)

I'll be doing this shortly! Thanks for the video, I'm switching over from Kalk dosing to this system. Awesome content!
Great video as always
First comment!!! 😊 thanks really appreciate the support!
If you got a four channel doser, could you use the fourth channel for topping off the aquarium with ro/di water instead of using an ato?
You could but you would
Need to figure out how to have a sensor tell the doser when to fill and when to stop. By the time your done you could have saved more money and time just going with an ato
@@eatsleepreef9565 Thank you!
My tank would def benefit from dosing, but man it sounds confusing, but that doser is def affordable.
Using dosing pump in a reef aquarium your coral they will appreciate good video
Great video!!!!!!!
Where can you get the dosing hoses for this brand dosers ?
Thanks

Yes you should. So if it says you need 10 dose the 10 then for the following days dose 2.5 to keep up with the 2.5 consumption
How the doser is.doing so far? Thanks for the video!🤙🏻
Great no issues
Thank you, I'm looking foward to gwet a doser and I don't know which one yet
Where is the video on how to make this doser more accurate plz.
👊👍
Super informative! Thank you!
No problem :)

What do you do when you compete a water change ? In regard to dosing

I was wondering the same thing......
How do you figure out your tank volume? Lets say if i got a 75 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump its supposed to be 95 but with rocks and sand its less.
After you upgrade the bulkhead look like you didn’t make the vent hole

You forgot to link all the videos you mentioned. :p
I'm in the middle of setting up and purchasing a doser system. Still happy with this doser?
May I hug the pump?
Do i need to doze on Monday or just check how much alkalinity do I have

Watch my other video on making a doser more accurate that will guarantee that never happens again :)
So would this work good with kent nano?
Do dosing containers need an air breather hole? I have the coral box 3 part container and i have to leave the lid cracked in order to prevent the lid from becoming vacuumed shut when the pump runs...
Yes they do. I have the same doser and I drilled a tiny hole in each lid
Hi I'm a little confuse
link videos please

Nice video, but you keep waving your hand right in our face while you talk.
