A Thunderous Consequence my favorite. And i love lyrics in this song : " End this war...bring them homes...bring them back...alive". I want to be real when i see war in Ukraine. But it's just a music...
4. Majesty and Decay (7:19) A plague of madness will change the world A gripping siege brings down the land Worn away by years of conflict Endless plains of crumbled stone A vile disturbance will move us all Its will is iron, a blackened soul Innocent blood will fill its need Watch you faith turn and flee The rousing of giants, the suppressing of spirit Majestic in presence, a guise to betray Loosening the noose while tightening the chains A race for victory, erase humanity All you have is all you've taken Crushed and silenced a people are broken Maniacal vision is brought to life March for victory, the beginning of the end Mortal element corrodes Thrown into the fires Banners of hate for all to see Massing hordes, command by fear Menacing decree, inhuman state Towering sorrow, choking every soul
I am a christian man and I love this album, I think close to a world below is my favorite though. I can enjoy this kind of death metal, the trash deicide offers is fun for a season, but its rather old and redundant. I think between immolation and suffocation, well and if I am being honest dead congregation for that matter, I am hard torn between finding any real christian alternatives, they do really bend the instruments and strings with a certain pain and preference which I do enjoy. We have our notable contenders, but much of the christian circle is fused with more hate than the secular market.

I think they're one of the greatest death metal bands and have heavily inspired the sub-branch of dissonant death metal that's currently home to the likes of Portal or Ulcerate. But the issue for me is their solo breaks: they're fine in and of themselves but often remove a lot of that tension they work so hard to build.
I like when the solos, and even the riffs, throw a wrench in the gear of the songs. The disjointedness is one, if not THE, biggest reasons I enjoy Immolation. You never know when a curveball is gonna throw everything off and that's what keeps things exciting for me, as opposed to having things logical and cohesive which bores me quick.
@@orphia6479 I didn't say that, don't put words in my mouth. Plenty of bands have curveballs. You can literally find them in every modern album. That's just what I like. I cut my teeth on bands like Atheist, Cephalic Carnage, Demilich, Human Remains and these bands are all over the place. If you like "cohesive and logical" bands, more power to you. But I don't.
Disculpeu les i els fans de Immolació, però aquest disc no hi ha forma que pugui escoltar-ho sencer. Se'm fa molt pesat i tediós i no puc amb ell. Opened for them years ago. Rob Vigna can bend strings like no other.
Vigna is a death metal wizard.

Daaaaaaaamn! That outro groove at the end of "The Comfort of Cowards" is insane! This is surely one of the best Death Metal albums I've ever heard!
Love this album. A Glorious Epoch is my all time fav song from them.
Love that song but my fav is "A Token of Malice" that sliding part at 5:11 is so well thought another fav is the intro of Majesty and Decay (the song)
This is damn good. Going from harnessing ruin and shadows in the light to this... well its like night and day. What a comeback.
Great album, dark and powerful 🤘💀🤘
4. Majesty and Decay (7:19)
A plague of madness will change the world
A gripping siege brings down the land
Worn away by years of conflict
Endless plains of crumbled stone
A vile disturbance will move us all
Its will is iron, a blackened soul
Innocent blood will fill its need
Watch you faith turn and flee
The rousing of giants, the suppressing of spirit
Majestic in presence, a guise to betray
Loosening the noose while tightening the chains
A race for victory, erase humanity
All you have is all you've taken
Crushed and silenced a people are broken
Maniacal vision is brought to life
March for victory, the beginning of the end
Mortal element corrodes
Thrown into the fires
Banners of hate for all to see
Massing hordes, command by fear
Menacing decree, inhuman state
Towering sorrow, choking every soul
Sometimes I accidentally steal a riff from them because they have hit me so deep in my subconscious
@@naturefreek1953 me tooooo. "Accidentally" 😅😁😇 off the top of my head, I ripped off the opening riff to Unsaved (Failures for Gods)
Big, nasty, raw, beautiful darkness. This is a great album.
