Hi, I've already signed up for 1 year plan on Curiosity Stream. But I didn't see any instruction to access Nebula after finishing payment. Would you mind showing me how?
Been subscribed to Ali's channel for over two years and I must say this channel has been the greatest ROI on my time. It really is just so amazing how he distills concepts so easily! Thanks Ali and team!
Same here! I ultimately welcomed success and growth to my life because of Ali 😌 I ranked 4th on our national licensure exams from his Active Recall tips! 😂🎉 and now, on to my own business and quitting my full time job! 🔥🔥❤
The more I work on my mental health, the more I realize it's the base of literally everything. Working on my attachment style, my anxiety, etc. which are all intermingled, it made me more secure, confident, step outside my comfort zone more and more, more chance encounters, more meeting people and more opportunities for fun. "luck" For people who had the personality + upbringing to be secure and relaxed in life, are already set up. For those of us who had to work on it, and continue to work on it every single day, it's possible, it's not easy ohhhh it's not easy, but it's possible.
i love how good quality ali abdaal's vids are. i mean how its concise, straigt to the point and easily understandable, plus he uploads pretty regularly! i appreciate ur channel man
I guess when results were revealed they were relieved haha, but if they were told this their whole life of course they could develop some complexes which can be worked on at any time
You cannot create luck. No one has any influence over who their parents are, where they are born and the quality of life as an infant. You can believe in the tooth fairy, but that does not make it true.
It is called survivorship bias. I do not want to come along too cynical but people really overestimate the effect of their decisions on certain outcomes in their life.
How I see it, people are more "lucky" if they have more opportunities. By doing more and challenging yourself more, you get more opportunities and thus have more lucky moments but equally unlucky moments you set yourself over.
Mind Blown. Yesterday I was talking to my friend about my colleague. and I was complaining that I am no different than my colleague in terms of academics, communication and presentation, but my colleague tends to close more sales because he is very lucky. and i have witnessed his luck many many times. and i don't know why he has all those opportunities, but I don't have any of those. to find answers I have observed his personality very closely. and based on my very close observations, I would like to confirm that whatever you have mentioned in the video is 100% correct. The things you have mentioned are exactly the things that he has which make him lucky and my personality is the opposite of that. I have all the characteristics of an unlucky person that you mentioned in the video. I never saw them as contributing to my life that way.
Setting goals also makes you keep track of your progress which is really valuable. Tracking helps evaluate your own behavior and adjust/do more of what is working.
Thank you! I’m going to check out the book, but I am realizing I do all of these things. I knew I was lucky (blessed) and this is confirmation to keep going with this and I know more lucky opportunities are headed my way 💕
As an introvert person, I'd like to talk to you guys here. Can someone share something fun/inspiring stories that you have? I'm starting my youtube channel again after 2 years of avoidance. I grew up more and I became more optimistic. I believe that this time will be different but still it's a bit afraid of uploading new video haha!
I've been wanting to vlog for years now, but I never had the courage to and I also thought my life wasn't interesting, plus I am an extreme introvert haha but I want to try to post more this 2023!
Us introverts have always regarded extroverts as luck vampires or hogs. But we do and will always remember is that success is not always based on luck & privilege. How we react to and hence make use of luck heading our way is what success is based on
Aren't these observations very prone to survivorship bias? These principles don't actually increase your luck, it just increase your chances of both lucky and unlucky event. Like, for example, the self proclaimed lucky people, might as well just be someone who took risk and are succesful, whereas had they failed, they are the unlucky people. Rather, the luck itself is hardly defined in the observation, imo, I'd say, wouldn't it be better to just give these lucky, neutral, and unlucky group, idk, 100 random probabilities where the outcome can be good, neutral, or bad, and have those outcome defined as lucky and unlucky. And see if the "luck" is consistent throughout. That way, the luck itself can be objectively observed rather than something subjective. Though, I believe there would hardly be any meaning to it.
This is great, but could you imagine being one of those "late bloomer" students in that study and doing poorly in school and potentially later in life all because some scientist wanted to use you as data?
You are another one jumping on the psychic reading trend right now of Leo's being lucky which is why I got recommended to your channel. You used my psychic reading for subject matter but won't admit it.
I was surprised this book was written by a psychologist. How daft does he think we are? The book is best summarised as- put yourself out there to maximise your chance of having “luck”. Turned the page to the first principle- voila there it is.
I have started reading The Psychology of Money and it is really fasinating. I have read only 15 pages. I will comment about it when I have read it completely

Someone once told me that “luck” is when preparation meets opportunity. It’s also related to the ‘Proximity Principle’.
I love how I don’t have to speed up your videos, they’re already at the perfect speed for my brain
i thought that's the way he talk but even tho i speed it to 2

Can you tell me where I can get the lessons talking about nurturing "mental toughness"? The one that parallels these principles

Yeah just delude yourself into not paying attention to how much luck affects your life. That's all you're doing, lying to yourself.

I feel bad for the students who were told to be late bloomers just for the sake of survey. I hope they are doing well in life

Luck is not something you have, Luck is something you make out of opportunities.
That is what I believe in.
