4 principles of luck..., the luck factor
1. making most of opportunities...these people are very flexible
2. trust their intuition
3. optimistic
4. extremely resilient ( most important)
That is all utter nonsense. Be born to healthy and wealthy parents and you will not need any of that bullcrap.
This is why you should interview more people over 50. They are full of knowledge and experience.
Be interested + do good + have an attitude for gratitude = happiness. Your videos are amazing Ali! Thank you for all your incredible content✨

I didn’t expect to love this as much as I am. When I saw “luck” I thought The Secret and I rolled my eyes and skipped it but it came up on auto-play thank god. Haha lucky me.
I am a huge fan of "The Luck Factor". The title can make a person make wrong assumptions about the content of the book. The book is fantastic. It offers practical ways that people can achieve more and attract more wonderful things into their lives. I have read it several times.

Professor Richard is a wise man
it's really uncomfortable that there is constant banging on the sound track - you might want to mount your mics on an arm with a "spider" if you can't not bang the table .
Also you could do a lot in post, make it less echoey..i am guessing you're not cleaning the other track recording the speaker as well, is one, being closer to the mic is another
For people who call Ali selfish, first the guy is bright and he’s so involved in the moment, and he’s asking the questions putting himself in the shoes of US THE LISTENER. I don’t think is anything wrong in being selfish and excited

You mentioned struggling to write your book, and Prof. Wiseman told you his system. I see that your book came out this year - did you end up using some or all of his method in finishing it? If so, did you also employ any other techniques, or if not, what did you do instead?

good advices
Another major factor is timing, which I believe is the most important, something that happened with me, I wanted to upgrade my car, I went and inspected many, paid deposit and for one reason or other my deposit was returned, 3 times. I could not understand why I could not get a better car, I have the money but it is still not happening. After the 3rd time I took it as a sign from universe to stop and I did.
3 months later I got a much better job and for which I did not need to drive. I thanked my lucky stars that I gave up the chase for the new car, otherwise I would be in debt for no reason.

With my very bestest.
As a curious person, I have never thought as “retire” as a possibility. Because I enjoy what I do, it is not work, and I have changed diapers, homeschooled my children, took care of rental properties and now I have instagram accounts, take pictures and keep teaching and sharing good things with people.
I see my retire neighbor and I feel so sad for a life with no curiosity and walking slowly to death without contributing her amazing brain and life with others…
You have a holier than thou view on retirement. I retired last year but my mind and body have not slowed down but got more active than before. Perhaps your neighbor retired due to physical decline. Often when a person goes downhill physically, mind slows down, too. Don’t judge. It is not attractive.

I like these podcasts but I always find Ali to be quite selfish with his interview style and questions, he just treats these conversations as advice for himself, i think if he asked questions with the listener in mind they would be better. No shade! just some helpful observations..
Also, you can hear the wisdom from someone 30 years older. Age comes wisdom.

Tbh I find that quite refreshing because I feel like all the other interviews ask the same questions all the time.
I think it is better because you can get more information this way where questions with listener in mind tend to have similar answers. For example, What advice would you give to the listener? will probably have answers like be optimistic, work hard, be etc etc... but if you listen closely enough you will get your answers on your own.
Nah i think the way he interviews is just fine. it feels like we’re listening in on a conversation that Ali found personally valuable. If that makes you feel like Ali is selfish, then maybe it just isn’t for you and you don’t have to watch it.
Find a product that everybody wants to buy.

You have like a good recipe the ingredients on your brain that make you UNIQUE and delicious.
Nobody has your brain, your experience and the way you see the world.
You come ready to combine your innate nature with your outside events.
Sitting one day and observing who you are, what makes you tick, what are you naturally inclined, what you select and focus is your answer. The problem is the huge noise outside.
When I homeschooled my children, I followed Rosalie Fink and her study of successful (Nobel prize) dyslexics and interest base.
I openly observed what kind of things they were drawn to despite that I gave them the same toys. At the beginning it was difficult because I could not see that movement was an important element on my daughters understanding of the world- you know the mental prejudice about math and legos mire important (at two and three she would climb with no fear- now she is a very successful dancer and theater mayor in college by the way, and son is into music and technology).
I say that to all homeschool moms, observe your children with no prejudices or pre conceptions, they will tell what interest them and give those opportunities to them.
If you allow your true self to shine it could be collecting and selling antiques, taking care of all people, working with animals, solving problems, designing, inventing recipes, and on and on and on.
The clue is that you are interested in that thing, and you want to contribute that thing to the world.
We need you because this world need as many people engaged in this complex, even if your task is to say hello to everybody that enters the store, if you say it with Gusto you have made somebody’s day.
