The striping brush is the way to go. You had some very small variants in the line widths but most won’t even notice it. Prepping the brush is crucial for a clean look. I start with a masking tape line a few inches above or below from my intended stripe to give me a true straight line that I create as my guide instead of the body, it’s a bit old school. Just my opinion.
one shot enamel paint, most people go with mark 0 to 000 some like the 3 for a brush. Steve Kafka uses a scrolling brush for the majority of his work. Then there's all kinds of debate on brush oils, reducers, and such. You'll have to do some reading and figure out how much $ you want to drop on that stuff, cause the paint is sorta expensive. As far as practice goes, I used a sheet of plexiglass, glass, metal, whatever you'll be able to clean up after you're done practicing. gl
The paint is car paint, it’s designed to do this. Special brushes also absorb more of the paint. I make custom action figures, paint stays on the brush a lot longer than you think if you paint correctly.
People that challenge the pros are the ones lacking the skill to do it themselves. It takes more skill to do that one pinstripe that that dude has even the capacity to learn.
