Any chance you could tell me the default gyro orientation of this board? My mate just changed his and cant remember what it is and its a nightmare to work it out especially when its mounted upside down too! Would really apreciate any help
I would absolutely LOVE to see this in a build! I started building drones back in the days of cc3d controllers with individual esc’s and homemade pdb’s! It’s come a long way baby! Lol
yeah you are right this board is so big.... it won't fit in my apex dead cat correctly lol , is there anyway to wire a caddy vista on the solder pads instead on using the plug header , I notice I do have an extra tx and rx pads and I can also solder it on the camera 10v portion but will it work ? my first time rigging digital and been flying analog for 3 years
Awesome video! Love the content. I’m very new to fpv and I got this board with a full size air unit on my first build. I have the DJI controller and am confused on how to set up the ports tab. I am directly plugged in. Thank you for all the information! I really appreciate people like you! Sorry for the basic question just having a hard time understanding.
Hii DRAINMAN 💪🏽 Have seen alot of your vids, and its very good learning! Im learning alot! Thanks.! Im not one of thoose guys Who got deep pockets. Ive got a blade torrent 110, and i wanna step up to 5 inch, but the money is small, what ready to fly fpv, can you recommend? Or if its a used you, what should i buy, and what not? Really wanna take that step up. Thumbs up, from Denmark!!! 💪🏽
nope.. no go. had this 2 months ago fresh and new.. after a few flights with no crashes the 10v reg just died, no smoke, no warning, had to hardwire a 10v reg to power the caddx dji unit. the esc is running bleeding edge blheli32 (most recent app release or it will not even see them) and can run 128hz pwm but resulted in a right side droop and lean until moved back to 48hz. gyro has way too much noise despite even running a 50v 1000uaf panasonic cap on the board when running 6s. Let's not even mention the totally screwed up layout design that dont fit a lot of standard frames without rotating it and motor remapping, its a very long AIO and a lot of freestyle standoffs will hit the corners.. I felt the iflight h7 beast (despite having $!#@ support for the H7) was a much better product in my experience, but the beast being a nacho mount is a real pain too. Although the luminere esc pads were beautiful and easy to solder on unlike the beast and it did seem to have full betaflight support. I had high hopes for it, but again.. 80$ wasted on a hyped miracle board.
IMO, aio boards are worthless... at least on bigger quads. I'd handwave aio's on whoops or toothpicks, but i wouldn't use them further than that. You break a single component, and you have to toss the entire thing (or fix it if you're among the microsoldering niche). I honestly think having separate components is better because if it's just one component that fails, it's an easy swap, and you only have to replace that single component. Fry an esc on an aio, and you basically have to rewire the entire drone just because of 1 single failed segment of it
Well this is a nice fc mista Drain, althoug i am not a fan of AIO's. I like the order of the wiring layout. Nice, big pads ,with enough space in between.
I've tried all the 25x25 boards for racing. Iflight, diatone, etc. They can't stand up to the abuse that you get when racing. Probably fine for cruising or freestyle. Not for racing.
Hey Love the content. Always on point and informative...Question....building a 3" X8. What's the option if any of adding another ESC to this board to support the extra motor outputs. Is there any AIO currently capable of doing this?
I went for Kakute H7 BT and Tekko 32 f4 50A and 65A (By mistake - I wanted the same esc but clicked wrong) Anyway, there is also a mini version. And the H7 supports 8 motors by default. I'm building a 7" X8
NEED HELP!!! I have HOBBYWING XROTOR CONVERTIBLE F7 FLIGHT CONTROLLER HD DJI PLUG AND PLAY - 30X30 & 20X20MMth but cannot get power to the caddix vista. I tested the VTX and it works but just not getting power to it. I'm using the DJI remote as well. Been told to activate modes but cant due that until I can link the VTX with the controller. I purchased another thinking the one I had was broken after speaking with a Hobbywing Tech. Is there a trick to get enough power to the CADDIX VIsta to power up? Thanks in advance
Sadly its a 30x and out of 30+ quads the only one I have that still uses that mounting size is my OG 6 inch freestyle which seems to be an immortal tank which loves it's F4.....
Personally I bought two, both of which had issues other than the known rpm filtering and baro issues. Ifight repair replaced one which still had issues. I dont have 6 flights between the two builds in the last four months. I must ike the punishment has I just installed, flew, and ordered a second one of the new beast version 1.2... Fingers crosses.....
I just installed this bad boy and it freaks out when i arm it. betaflight shows coreect yaw and pitch etc when its plugged in. motor direction is right and motor numbers and placement is good too. board and sensor issue but im not sure how to resolve. the gyro is set to CW 90 flip and that seems to get the 3D model acting right when i move the quad. roll pitch and yaw degress are 0 .. any ideas?
@@CozziFPV man i have been fighting the same issue but have just about given up. My board is mounted solder pads up 90 to the ccw. I have tried probably 100 different orientation in bf. She wants to flip right seems no matter what. I am about to order another fc i am so sick of this board

Thank you Sir!
@@robinoury2494 I assume you have updated the stock firmware? For me, only the 4.2.9 Betaflight FW has a working DJI Power Supply. With 4.3.1 I got no voltage on the DJI Port....
You have to map "User1" function Mode to a AUX Switch, to turn on/off the DJI Port. In 4.2.9, the Port is always on while for 4.3.1 you have to map a switch.
I don’t understand why aio boards became so hyped. It’s like putting all the eggs in one basket, beside the fact it’s not configurable at all. The only reason for their popularity for me is consumers who came from dji, eager to plug and play without need to think or ability to solder.
Everyone is different and has a different list of priorities, some people have the time and desire to build it all, and others probably just want to fly because time and convenience are big factors. Each to their own you know, just cause it's not for you doesn't mean it's bad and should be dismissed as something for people who can't think or solder, that's a little arrogant to assume In my opinion.
@@owaind-g678 lol you should try to read and understand whole comment next time before replying to it. The part with opinion about aio stuff auditory is only 1/3 of my message, dude.
Nonsense, stop generalising. I need an AIO board for my stack height limited BMS JS-1 Racing frame just to be able to fit a vista. Nothing to do with not being able to solder, sometimes people just need low profile boards/stacks for older frames to be able to go digital which unfortunately means an AIO. I'd have this over the iflight beast std AIO as it has its own BGA related reliability issues.. but this Lux HD is just not in stock anywhere. AIO means it will be an extremely clean build, so if you can find a solid one that works well and can take a bit of punishnent, you could end up with something that does away with fewer potential wiring failure points. I think its possible to end up with something superior.. but with the focus of everything going more towards sub 250g, yep, its probably unlikely... I'm not going to give up on using this great frame for a vista just yet though. If I can find a good, reliable AIO for a 5" racer it will definately be worth the search.
