Another great review video. You always mail it man I gotta tell you. I myself and I’m sure everyone else that watches your videos love how you break everything down and explain what everything is what it does and how to use it even what it could be used for if necessary! Having said that you mentioned in the beginning about breaking the connector on the esc and If you have broke one yet you eventually will. Well that time has recently come for me when I received my Fettec G4 stack. I installed the esc on the frame without plugging the plug in first and on that esc I feel like the connector is set back a little more than they usually are so I plugged the wire in took one of my drivers so I could push on the wire connector and make sure it was all the way in and sure enough I pushed to hard and popped the connector off the board. Thankfully that board like this one you are reviewing here has solder pads for the esc connection as well. Although it sucked beings it was brand New and my very first Fettec build but in the end it worked just fine. Anyway great video man. I love your videos because I always learn something from them. Take care.

@@fredericpetitpas It's working but the voltage reading on the osd is freezing up half way through the battery. Not sure what's causing that.
did You flashed it with latest BF (4.5). ?
@@piotrkojder7177 No. I forget what I have on it. 4.2 or 4.3. I think it's been maybe a year or so ago that I flashed it. Whatever BF version that was. And it worked fine for a while. Then it developed this voltage reading problem. Without a crash and without plugging it into a computer.

Just broke a JST connector on my FC and you are correct. It sucks when you dont have pads to direct sodler to after aha.
During covid iv order a few fc that where bad from the start. I got to say after seeing this it's good to see good looking fc again. I want to point out that the bad fc I got I order from Amazon and when I got them they already had solder on the pads. The fc i order do not come with solder when they are new so I do not recommend buying drone parts from Amazon

Just curious, are the schematics and firmware available for just the SpeedyBee F7 V3's top/logic board (the one with the STM32F7422, not the BL32 50A 4-in-1 Electronic-Speed-Control or 45A BLHELI32 board)?
I like that it has Barometer BMP280 , IMU/Gyro BMI270 and ESP32-S3 (bluetooth/wifi).. so just want to purchase the top alone (not the Voltage Regulators / Battery Elimination Circuit board) to play as a development board with my own sensors (ex. Beitian BN-880)
However, I'm concerned that I won't be able to flash/debug using SWD.. or if it's somehow locked to be used only with the Betaflight 3.5.2 / Emuflight / iNav firmware / app?
BTW, is there a parts list of drones/motors/GPS/etc that is sure to work when plugging the F7 V3 as a stack?

Hey @drainman and subscribers, anyone able to get telemetry back to radio working? (Vbat & RSSI). I've bought 4 of the F7 V3s and have tried everything, same with my F4 V3 stack. Using RSXR. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Have you tried INAV for this FC? Since mine having trouble on ESC protocol (available only multishot) and when armed the motor didn't want to spin
Did you ever get iNav on this one? I can’t get it to flash on mine
@@IAmTheCraftsman Yes. Using multishot. Remove sd card for blackbox when flashing.
Installed mine today, but having troubles adding the ability to add the air unit on a switch. Could use some help. I was able to add user 1 and 2 to the modes tab, but nothing happens. Is there a pit mode pad i need to solder or something??
This crap does not have PINIO relays. Moreover it only supprots 3,4khz gyro update speed so forget about DSHOT600 nobody is taking about it (bribed mot@$!%ers). Instaling BF 4.5 makes it useless (motors are not moving) SpeedyBee Suport is helpless (If You can count, count on your self :), they just don't give a f@%!ck ). I am upset as hell.
You can ask support about Air Unit on switch, probably You will never get the direct answer.

How to turn off the battery voltage indicator LEDs without soldering? I need a dark drone, no illumination.

Is it normal that my SpeedyBee F7 V3 runs on 3,2 kHz Pid Loop/ Gyro update frequency? I cant change it up to 4 kHz or 8 kHz. And do you know why it is so low?
Bosh gyro doesn’t support higher frequencies. But in practice you won’t notice the difference to 4K or 8k
I have a 3 wire IBUS ........ where do I wire this into ? a picture would be GREAT and ill pay you for the time.

Nice board, but not available to buy it yet.
I've gone through 4 of these stacks all died after a simple small crash. The flght controller stopped communicating with the PC each stopped generating the final beeps when powered on. Nothing I've tried fixes the problem. Buyers beware!
I've done 4 with the exact issues, Did you ever find a fix?
@@Bmeadowz Nope, I replaced them all with different ESC and Flight Controllers. I currently have one speedybee FC on a different ESC and it's been holding up for now for like 2 weeks.

off topic.. I like you, live in Melbourne. I have been a professional painter for nearly 30 years, and my employment life sucks right now. I want to change professions and learn to be a Plumber. Can an intelligent, dependable, hardworking guy, who's a trustworthy self-starter, that can show up every day clean & sober learn to be a plumber? I know nothing about plumbing except sh*t runs down hill and payday is on Friday. Can you help me find a job and start over? I'm obviously never going to fund my FPV addiction being a Painter in Melbourne. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeeeeek, 1500uf external cap... I dont even see any capacitors on the pcb of the ESC, besides whatever is under the heatsink.. V3 and I'm still very leery of this product.

F7 is better than G4. While H7 may have better processor speed it lacks sufficient flash memory. The F7 has plenty of room to grow.
@@Estuardo305 g4 has accelerated math processor it’s better than f7 maybe not 65 but most all f7
@@terpsquirter7107 yeah, with fpv we don't even come close to the overhead that you get with an h7. We could develop firmware for another 2 or 3 years with F7s... We won't actually utilize half the power of an h7 for many years. Only thing I can even think of an h7 will do better is draw the osd, and run the pid loop at the same time, with no need for an on board osd chip. Your regular freestyle quad will run great with an F4. So, h7 boards really are just multi year future proof boards, that in a lot of people's oppinion only exist because of chip supply shortages.
