    I just ordered the stack before I saw this video. I’m glad you had positive things to say about it. I’ve been kind of hit or miss with their DL F4 stacks but some of that might’ve been user error.

    @MadsTech - Great video!
    regarding this controller > speedybee is not only executing on the tech (new battery checker, their app for configuration, and much more), but they are executing successfully on User Experience. this is how you disrupt the initial leaders. wise strategy. will be interesting to see how they continue to innovate.

      just finished my first fpv build with the same board, a 6s 5 inch. happy so far, although with all the plugs adding to the heigh of the stack, and the short fc/esc cable meaning you can only mount the fc and esc in the same direction(my build would have been alot easier to package had i been able to mount the esc facing one way, and the fc the other way). I used an Apex DC Evo for my build. Ended up making it all work by cutting gummies/installing shorter + using ultra thin m3 nuts from Mcmaster Carr. Everything has gone well though, flies great, the bluetooth is nice to have if i need to make changes in the field.

      I just got the v3 stack and despite building a drone for like 35th or 40th time, I never had this weird unhealthy motor sound with any filters i chucked at it. I thought it was BMI270 gyro so i really made sure the LPF2 was 250hz and still same issue and it ramps up with rpm. then I replaced one of the brand new motors that sounded a bit louder than others for another new one and still same issue. im considering taking my older 30x30 60amp hobbywing and lending it to this build (that goes to my dad)

    Just curious, are the schematics and firmware available for just the SpeedyBee F7 V3's top board (the one with the STM32F7422, not the BL32 50A 4-in-1 Electronic-Speed-Control or 45A BLHELI32 board)?
    I like that it has Barometer BMP280 , IMU/Gyro BMI270 and ESP32-S3 (bluetooth/wifi).. so just want to purchase the top alone (not the Voltage Regulators / Battery Elimination Circuit board) to play as a development board with my own sensors (ex. Beitian BN-880)
    However, I'm concerned that I won't be able to flash/debug using SWD.. or if it's somehow locked to be used only with the Betaflight 3.5.2 / Emuflight / iNav firmware / app?

    My V2 fc just crapped after a year and many many crashes, has a bad BEC for sure, works on usb and is recognized in bf. Gonna try to fix before giving in.
    I may still get one of these for another build down the road, speedybee has been good for me.

    • @matt0725
      @matt0725 Год назад

      If you haven’t replaced it yet, or want a spare, you can buy an external 5v BEC, and wire the 5v OUT of the BEC to a 5v pad on the FC, and basically reverse feed everything on the board in a sense. I’d just check that the FC pads are dead beforehand with a multimeter so you don’t really blow the board up, or desolder the built in 5v reg.

    Hi Mad's, I bought this flight controller because it was Inav compatible. I want gps rth and sell al my dji drones. I have built and sold over a 100 drones since 2010. (Inav, Betaflight etc...) In Inav, I can not get the esc from beeping. Even after successful firmware update, the esc beeps and will not connect on blheli android app. It will be detected but I can not write the changes I make. For better troubleshooting, I installed Betaflight and did get the drone to fly, I could reverse 2 motors from the motors tab in Betaflight... But as soon as I re installed Inav, the esc beeps constantly, the status tab shows harware not healthy and navigation not safe and although I can spin the motors in the output tab, I can not arm the drone's motors with the remote controller... Anyone got the speedy bee f7v3 to work on Inav ?

      Old comment I know, but the gyro used on this FC only runs at 3.2k so that’s the max rate you can update everything. Joshua Bardwell has a video about these BMI gyro’s but his opinion is that they’re very solid and near/equal to MPU6000 gyros which were the gold standard

    Hey man, I’m having a major issue with this stack. My FC and RX gets minimal power from the ESC when connected to lipo voltage, but on BF via USB and Bluetooth, it works perfectly fine. I tried reflashing firmware via BlHeli, but get an error message upon reading. Even in BF, the motors do not spin, twitch or whine. Any idea on what could be going on?

      What batteries are you using? Can you intercept the voltage lines to measure how much current is flowing to those devices? I've been using this stack for about a week now and I've had no power issues at all. Do you have a VTX connected? How much power is it set for?

    I purchased the speedy bee F7 V3 stack. I received it with bent pins. I always inspect the ports before using a product. I contacted Speedybee and they offered me a 20% discount on replacing their defective product. Be careful working with them. If you end up with a defect, they blame you instead of offering any customer service to rectify their failure. I'll personally never use another Speedybee product and I'll not repair any quad containing their products. Be careful with they so called "warranty" claims. They don't actually warranty their products.
