    I like the way you two think , I've done the same with my past 4 jeeps. Plus in the past i've only had to use lockers front and back a hand full of times , I only need one. Onboard air is nice and upgrade the lights... build it light and you'll gor far .

    Thanks a bunch. I am looking to upgrade to 33 and the wheels I looked at had a -12 offset. With the stock wheel at +44 I thought that was to radical. After looking at yours I'll go with +12 to +18. Glad I watched. Be well stay safe.

    hey Kyle / Heather.... OMG i love what you did and I'm in the middle of shopping myself. I'm picking up a brand new Sahara on Friday, but the stock wheels and tires kill me - they need to go ASAP... the stock wheels on the 2021 are 18".. so you got the KMC 717' w/+18 offset (copy that) that's what i've been trying to figure out the 'combination of the right all black rim with 33' tire"

    FYI - Just picked up factory ordered ”basic” 2021 Rubicon 2Dr with AT, HT, LED & tow pkgs for $41K. Considered a basic model with upgrades like this couple. Instead chose a “basic” Rubicon because most upgrade items I wanted come standard on it. For example - nicer wheels, BFG 33’s, rock sliders, 7” infotainment, nicer interior plus all that extra “hardware” underneath. Either way, if you are serious about buying a new Jeep look at Tread Lightly program, for sure! Going with a 2 door matched our planned usage and that saved us even more ✌️

      I really want to go 2.5 inch lift and 37s but I know the small front axle can’t handle it. Kinda wish I had done what you did, but didn’t want to wait 12 weeks for a custom order. No 4 door rubicon’s on the lot for under 50k.

    • @NoGasWelcomeAboard
      @NoGasWelcomeAboard 3 года назад

      Not interested in 37’s though I find myself wishing I’d traded the 33’s in for 35’s. They fit on a stock Rubi and a small lift is on my list. Only addition so far has been a RockHard4x4 aluminum bumper for flat towing behind our motorhome and the “mandatory” Warn 10S winch. Plan to use it more off road than on. You are right, it took exactly 12 weeks from placing the order till delivery. However, that is almost certainly a few weeks less now. As an ordered model, we got it equipped (not equipped really) exactly as we wanted, including the color. Finding one without all the on-road extras would not have been possible without ordering. Plus a discounted below invoice price is easily obtainable on those, and that definitely made the wait worth it. Btw - that new car smell is especially intense for ordered Jeeps. Happy wheeling 🙂

    Running a similar set up on our Sahara. I have the wild peaks and love them, unfortunately they are the heavier C load rated tire. Got a deal I couldn’t pass up on a practically brand new set of 5 off a gladiator.
    I also am running a -12 offset rim and it doesn’t look like it pokes out much more then yours. We love the look

    • @paulr4353
      @paulr4353 Год назад

      -12 to +18 is 1 1/4" difference, so there should be a big difference in appearance.
      I'm looking to change the stock 255/75-17 with the +44 offset, to 295/70-17 with +1 offset. I don't have much of a choice with the Fuel Vapor wheels, where the most positive offset is +1mm..
      I even drew the wheel combo's up on CAD, which shows the edge of the thread 1 1/4 inch beyond the fender, and the sidewall with just over a 2 inches protrusion.

    You will still need a programmer like a tazer to set your tire size so your automatic transmission would fix its shift points its not 100% necessary but it adds a couple of miles to your gallon.
