What is your opinion on converting a spoke wheel into a tubeless one with either an outex conversion kit or like a way 2 speed conversion kit.. Are there any issues in doing so?
And I am still confused which one to get because I want the Classic 350 but adding alloys make it costlier than Meteor 350. I rode both, loved both for the slightly different feel and will be happy with either.
Sir please do tell us about the puncture fixing fluids that are used in tube tyres which are available nowadays. They cost around 1000-2000Rs .While their actual performance is debatable, the use of such fluids will it damage the tyre or the rims?.

Talk about motorcycle seat comfort. Do they really affect the lower back & spine due to minute vibrations over a prolonged period of time? Do bum gets affect due to seating over a prolonged period of time, especially in pressure points? I know going over bad roads, patched roads, humps will affect our back. A topic which hardly anyone talks about. Unless someone has affected from it & stopped riding. Since I took the bike 3 years ago, I'm starting to have bubble in particular spots in bum, which comes regularly for 4 or 5 months. Untill that bubble pops, man it's painfull to sit. I even changed seat form, cover, shape, but it didn't work.
I broke the rear wheel hub on my TB-500 3 years back, apparently, an air bubble caused the rear brakes to completely lock up, and just pushing it to the repair shop was enough to destroy the hub, thankfully got it replaced under warranty...
Balancing... dynamic balancing on a alloy wheel is better than on a spoke wheel ... However now a days we get alloy rims which accept spoke.... Eg..RE 650 twins

Would like to have a topic on why super bikes are expensive then cars. A 10 lakh car has abs, ebd, traction control, riding modes, automatic transmission, 100 bhp, 120 nm torque. Can there be a bike built like this, under the 5 lakh rupees mark, if yes, how. Would love for you to discuss this topic on your podcast 😁
I would argue that bikes are far cheaper than cars. The average top sportscar can cost a crore or more. The average top sportsbike barely hits ₹30 lakh
@@shu_mar but an average sportscar can also make 400bhp and insane amount of torque and are not meant for everyday and everywhere use. Whereas bikes are more usable, epecially the adventure and classic ones. Why not reduce the costs when one masters the technology rather continuously increasing the price.. not arguing, just would put the perspective out.
@@AdityaDevSultan the 400bhp also pushes about 1.5 tons. So pure numbers cars-bikes is a faulty perspective. A KTM 390 will outperform most cars over 400m for example. And in my experience 90% bikes are 100% useable everywhere/everyday. As to cost - if you’re not willing to pay, you won’t get tech. It’s the nature of the business. And I don’t see it changing anytime soon whether we like it or not.

Can pls explain what will different rim diameter makes a difference in the way bikes run. Ex : 21inchers on Off-road bikes and 16inchers on the rear where are most of the bikes get 17 inch on both ends.

There’s nothing to make TBH. Tubeless spoke wheels are a design. Which means you find one, buy it and add it to your bike . Done. Option 2 is a conversion using tapes like Outex. This is 1/ expensive 2/ success rate depends on who is applying it. So 🤷🏽♂️
@@surajchakurkar4369 Ok, for a layman, normal oil or I should say mineral oil is derived directly from petroleum oil and in process, the unwanted hydrocarbons are removed while synthetic oil is made by mixing several synthetic components. You could have included the concept of Forged alloy wheels too.. Anyway.. Lovely video as usual..!! 🤝🏻
Simplified: one thing at a time 😊
What is your opinion on converting a spoke wheel into a tubeless one with either an outex conversion kit or like a way 2 speed conversion kit.. Are there any issues in doing so?
No issues if chap doing application knows what’s what. My feedback channel says success rate is iffy - mostly down to chap doing the work
Really you are doing great job!!! 👍👍👍
Thank you!
@@shu_mar ❤️
Really good video. kudos for choosing such subjects...
Thank you!
in spoked rim forces are more distributed throughout spokes than alloys, so they are better for off roading
Do cast alloys Vs forged alloy wheels
And I am still confused which one to get because I want the Classic 350 but adding alloys make it costlier than Meteor 350. I rode both, loved both for the slightly different feel and will be happy with either.
Dry clutch and wet clutch 🙏
Gotcha! We shall try Kachave!

Can do!
Sir please do tell us about the puncture fixing fluids that are used in tube tyres which are available nowadays. They cost around 1000-2000Rs .While their actual performance is debatable, the use of such fluids will it damage the tyre or the rims?.
No damage. But at high speeds I can feel their presence and I don’t like it - I won’t use it.
Requested topic:: about torque; power; horsepower etc about the terms that we use in motorcycle.
Thanks for the suggestion, Sarthak!
Can do!
@@shu_mar Thankyou for the rply. Hope to see the video on related topic soon.

Yes, I want the difference between cast wheels and forged wheels
Let's hear about Cast vs Forged in the next video😁😁😁
Good content as always. I’d love to see a Ryan F9 style review where cast and spoke wheels are actually tested to the limit. Right now, it looks like all of RUclips is just saying things that we all know 😄
For me, I’d be happy to pay the premium and get spoked tubeless wheels for my Himalaya.
Top Boxes and Panniers
Easy. Avoid top boxes like the plague if you like handling / cornering feel
Phew! As long as you came out of that unscathed, it's okay.
Warranties are awesome!
Recycling of Li-ion Battery which are used in the EVs nowadays. So, EV vs IC Engines can be a good topic.
Great video as always. Can you guys do a video on wheel mods for cars and the differences between cast, flow form, forged etc?
Balancing... dynamic balancing on a alloy wheel is better than on a spoke wheel ... However now a days we get alloy rims which accept spoke.... Eg..RE 650 twins
An aluminium rim that accepts spokes is just a lighter spoke wheel. The term “alloy wheel” is a colloquialism for *cast* alloy wheels
@@shu_mar yes .. so balancing on an alloy is better compared to spokes... Is it correct
@@vaibhavhalgekar914 Not automatically/necessarily. Some of poorer alloys can be horrible while high quality spoked wheels can be insanely good too!
@@shu_mar ok 🙏
Engine break in, this is a very basic topic but still we have opinions which are poles apart, some say follow the manual, some say go the hard way some say it is not even required as these days bikes are already taken care. If you think that it qualifies to be taken as a topic, kindly include it in forthcoming videos. Thanks!
Short answer: no sustained speeds. As much acceleration as you want. Early oil change helps greatly.
Thank you Shumi, It is really commendable that you answer questions so quickly and painstakingly. Will wait eagerly for your detailed video on this topic as I have bought a new SF 250 with only 240 Kms on Odo. Also,my manual recommends keeping RPMs under 5k for first 800 and under 7.5k for next 800. Is it recommend or can we twist it more?
@@abhaychaturvedi650 Going past that now and then is okay. The thing to remember is that you don’t have to coddle the engine. Use full acceleration if you like. Just don’t sit at one speed for a while.
Thanks a ton Shumi❤️
I love how my royal enfield handles bad roads or no roads and it has spoke wheels so i ride it worry free by just keeping a check on the tyre pressure.
After suffering through few punctures and one tube valve break, I was long thinking of putting on tubeless Tyres for my Himalayan. Silly me! Thanks to this video, now I know it's not possible..
As usual extremely well presented and well researched video. Congratulations.
What are the best brands for alloy wheels in India ?
I would love to see the options we have for punctured tubeless and tubed wheels.
Infinite options. Just take a sharp object along 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see Pd Simplified notification, I leave everything and joi the Class😎
Is it safe to make the spoke wheel tubeless by using the 3m option?
A video on Bike frame types please😁
How does cruise control work
Would like to have a topic on why super bikes are expensive then cars.
Aha. Yes it all comes to the nature of business 😁 thanks for you input shumi. 🙏
just hope alleast the duties on imported bikes are brought down, somehow we can have free-trade in the near future.
@@AdityaDevSultan Duties are all 100% government. 🤦🏽♂️
Thank u pd I was waiting for this discussion
Please introduce a new subject on two wheeler in college and schools where Shumi will be teaching 😍
Will be interesting selective subject
Nice explanation and a good video as always.
Cast Alloy wheels Vs Forged Alloy wheels please!!!
You should have also talked about making spoke wheels puncture proof with a liquid comes in market these days.
I ignore those. At high speeds I can feel them and I don’t like the feel. I don’t recommend them.
@@shu_mar thanks for the reply. Can you explain what do you mean by you can feel them on high speed?
@@shu_mar I'm asking coz I prefer tubeless tyres. But I really like Hero xpulse 200, but the problem is it comes with tube tyres. I don't know what to do.
Generally, Shumi is full of energy and we can feel it in every video. I felt otherwise this time! What's wrong @Shumi?
I was asked to speak slower 🤪
@@shu_mar haha...
I had a hunch about that too!
But, we like the old way.. fast Shumi is the best
Hey guys.. Alloy wheels being a product of casting and thus can be mass produced more easliy, aren't they supposed to be cheaper than spoke wheels? , which seems to have a lot more process involved including manual work. Or is the material cost difference so high that it offsets the processing cost..?
Hey shumi! Please make a comparison between dry battery and wet battery, and which one of these is good for our bikes 😀
Shumi it's awesome part
I think spoke wheels also partially help in absorbing shocks in bad patches although not sure whether it is a myth or not.
Can pls explain what will different rim diameter makes a difference in the way bikes run. Ex : 21inchers on Off-road bikes and 16inchers on the rear where are most of the bikes get 17 inch on both ends.
Any suggestions as to any possibility of turning xpulse 200 to tubeless type or change to Alloy wheels. Which manufacturer can be relied upon if change to alloy wheels. Thanks.
Wonderfully explained! Though the captions in the video are not well synced! Please resync the captions to the dialogue. Captions are moving a bit faster.

Requested topic: frame sliders vs crash guards on different kinds of motorcycles!
Please make a detailed video on tubeless wheels.
It will be very useful for RE riders. Especially for 650 twins riders because after-market alloy wheels look ugly af.
There’s nothing to make TBH. Tubeless spoke wheels are a design. Which means you find one, buy it and add it to your bike . Done. Option 2 is a conversion using tapes like Outex. This is 1/ expensive 2/ success rate depends on who is applying it. So 🤷🏽♂️
What is the difference between normal engine oil and synthetic engine oil? Which one should we prefer while opting for it??
Try Synthetic oil once when warranty is over. If you like the driving experience, you can continue with it.
But i wanted to know the difference between them and how they can improve the riding quality.
@@surajchakurkar4369 Ok, for a layman, normal oil or I should say mineral oil is derived directly from petroleum oil and in process, the unwanted hydrocarbons are removed while synthetic oil is made by mixing several synthetic components.
Synthetic oil contains lesser impurities, it has good flow at lower temps and it maintains it's viscosity at high temperature. All this results to overall better driving experience.
Thanks piyush for explaining✌️
So can we replace normal oil with synthetic in all vehicle like day to day vehicles, that should not cause any problems right like in a 150cc bike?
Are tube tyre are more shock absorbent
Not by design/themselves, no
Sir, Can you discuss about pros and cons of spoke wheel with tubeless tyre which offered by some tyre shop. Thanks in advance.
When done well, and it’s rare, conversions work well. But my feedback channel says success rate is poor because of bad technique in application
@@shu_mar Thanks again
For the continental gt should I fit the alloys and switch over .. my rides are mostly highways and touring with less and sometimes non off road patches so
