I also did this on my interceptor 650. Used loctite black RTV sealant. I had to change to tubeless tyres. Then only it worked. Stock tyres bead nahi pakar rahe the. If this fails use tubeless tyres it would definitely work.
There is a reson why alloy wheels are used for tubeless tyres because they are meant for the same and they are designed in a way to sustain that air pressure.... Spoke wheel can never become tubeless maybe for sometime but not forever

As your tyre is Ceat tubetype so grind the side walls of the tyres and clean the side of rims and apply fevibond on side walls. For first 2 weeks i kept the tyre pressure as 55 pounds. Later reduced the tyre pressure. Also after the completion of whole process, please do the wheel balance by adding suitable weight other wise you will feel wobble at high speeds. For Leh trip, please change the tubetype tyre and go for tubeless tyre.

Yes, ground clearance 10 MM se kam ho jayega kyunki original tyre height 70 MM hai aur naye tyre ki rahegi 60MM. Koi nahi maine bhi apni NS pe 140-60-17 lagaya tha. Kuch issue nahi aayega.

Because of tubeless and tube tyres are designed differently. Tubeless tyres have extra rubber grip on edges to prevent air leakage.
