Good work. The only problem with these conversions is once you need recalibration of the wheels i.e. tightening or loosening of the spokes then you got to go through the whole process again which is cumbersome. In the long run its better to go with puncture resistant liquid which can be refilled incase of tyre change or tube change and it's very cost effective and a tried and tested procedure. This may work for a low power bike like the RE, but rims for tubed and tubeless tires are different and doing this on a more powerful bike may just spin the tire on the rim. Tubeless rims will have "serrations" to grip the bead.
For your kind information, RE Interceptor 650 rims have serrations on the inner side wall for fitment of tubeless tyres, you have to just find ways and means to cover air leakage from the spoke heads.
It most certainly looks like silicone glue that is used to stick glass to the window frame. That is much cheaper. Around 200 rs for this sort of bottle I guess. The application and tool too is similar.

Try that before you use Melvin's too costly sealant again next time. Thank me later.😊
Hey abhinav, if i am not wrong then major problem with spoked wheels is that they are flexible, and when they do so, tubeless tyres do loose pressure. I think that this is the reason why even big brands like triumph and honda do not offer tubeless tyres on tiger and africa twin. Can you please varify it by taking it on bumps and pot holes, with speed enough to cause some flex in the rim.
How was your experience after installing this product ...u have not given the feedback of this product ... And also not placed the video for that plz do so 👍
Hi Abhinav, I'm planning to get the same done for my Continental GT 650 but I'm very skeptical about High speed stability(in long run). How is the high speed stability after the conversion?(after 6 months)
Rohit I think you should go for Formula X. ride your bike for 15kms and maintain the speed of 35-40kmph why? for the fluid to get perfectly coated its a glycol based liquid
Great Video bro...Your videos are so informative and detailed. Can I use 3M Marine sealant for the same job? it will be more cost effective. Just not sure about the longevity. Kindly advise.
Hi Abhinav, may I ask what would happen in case of a couple of spokes becoming loose over time and requiring re-seating/adjustments? Would the process have to be done again entirely?
This must be a silicon I used it for my colg project where we used this for sticking hardner to our moto safe frame of aluminium ( Moto safe - our colg project , basically a shellter for bike which has track on which bikes front wheel get locked and bike can be pushed inside with hand ) I might be wrong be what I belive is they have just rebranded the bottel of silicon
PSC 9688 Actually we used butyl rubber mixed proportional with polyurethane for keeping the integrity. It does look like silicone but it's 300% more tensile strength and pressure sensitive than silicone
Hey, Abhinav. Helpful video. What will be the process in case you need to adjust the spoke tension after a couple thousand kilometres? Will the sealant get in the way of that?
Hey Abhi. Good Job. Can you please tell me about those usd forks? which motorcycle comes from? any special brand/size? did you changed the triple clamp as well? thanks.

Hi there and thx for the tip. I have a question: if the rims of the interceptor are fit for tubeless on what concerns its internal structure: the bead flange /seat / hump of a tube fitted rim is different from a tubeless rim so that my concern whether a tubeless tire will fit safely on a tube rim (as done with your Way2Speed Kit). A second question is: Does Kineo Wheels or Alpina Wheels manufacture spoked tubeless rims for the Interceptor 650 ? Understand that is quite expensive, any other manufacturer around ? perhaps in the USA ? Thanks and all the best.
Hi Abhinav love what you have done to your Interceptor. Need some gyaan from you... 1. My Interceptor 650 front wheel wobbles at speeds beyond 80 kmph. The wobble is more pronounced when I am travelling with saddlebags and tank bag. I have changed the front tyre under warranty. I have put Clip ons a la GT 650 yet the problem persists. What do I do... 2. Would upgrading to EBC sintered pads improve the overall braking feel of the bike. I am happy with the stock setup. Notwithstanding what is your suggestion . I am told sintered pads eat into the rotor. 3. Is there a VFM front suspension upgrade suggestion for Int 650 similar to what you did to your Street Twin. The front suspension of Interceptor 650 does need an upgrade. Would appreciate your views please. Thanks and ride safe whenever you can 🙏
Hi. The wobble is largely due to the tyre and then the soft suspension. You could get a preload adjuster top cap or stiffer springs from either Ohlins (some 22k) or TEC bike shop from the UK (around 10k, I believe). Sintered pads should be okay.
@@abhinavbhatt Thanks Abhinav for the quick response. I shall explore the options suggested by you and hope like hell that the wobble is resolved. Stay safe abhinav. Only thing im sad about is r15 speed run would be delayed becoz of this stupid virus.... Dang it !! 😏
Yeah. No R15 videos for a month now.
Brother can i please know more about the rear spoke rims 4.25 r17, also can i know where u have purchased it? Great video btw❤
Hi sir,
Fan from uttarakashi, uttarakhand
I appreciate your work sir,
I really enjoy your videos and want to see more and more amazing content from you .
And if you check my comment sir please make a videos on these topics sir,☺️☺️
1- GPS top speed of your interceptor
2- those rims sir if you can get those as carbon fibre love to see that too❤️.
3-some more carbon on your bike like fuel tank, engine covers mudguards.
Love you sir .
Big fan,
Gourav Bijlwan
Abhinav where did you get the rims from, are they excel rims? I'm looking for the stock excel rims in 17 to downsize my rim and upsize my tyre..
Why is Inder being so careless with that knife?
Inder please be careful, mate you are too close to your family jewels
Abhinav sir I am a subscriber since first
No doubt your bikes looks awesome R15 and the most awesome RE 650
CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON ALL MODS THAT YOU HAVE DONE ON RE 650 in one video
With separate playlist on RUclips
Okay.
I'm also looking for this dear.
Your Interceptor looks damn good with those beautiful handlebars, customised rims and also the blacked out engine parts.
When you added some weight in wheel after that we are facing nee issue dynamic balancing . After add weight should be check the balancing
Basically it's silicon based sealant costs not more than 200 rs for around 250 ml & melvin's takes huge profit on it, Abhinav i didn't know you don't go to local mechanic's they must have been using this for a long time don't know about your city but my mechanic did it for rs 250 other than the sealant tubes which you can buy on amazon search for Dr. Fixit silicone sealant. Try that before you use Melvin's too costly sealant again next time.
Thank me later.😊
Thanks man. I will give it a try next time.
Whats the biggest size rim one can fit on the Interceptor 650 without the tyres touching the swingarm and the front forks?
Hi ! Abhinav, Thanks for the video its very intriguing. I have a request could give us a long term review of the same.
I'll try to make one soon.
Okay. Will do.
@@abhinavbhatt thanks 🙂
How was your experience after installing this product ...u have not given the feedback of this product ...
And also not placed the video for that plz do so 👍
looks some sort of silicon based gel.. "with melwins' secret ingredients"
You just sound like John Abraham....Ditto....🤩
What happens when you tighten the spokes? Does it break the seal?
I think this is silicon glue which is used for making aquarium...But this is a good idea..
Ask dear Melvin what's the difference between Dow Corning weather proof silicone sealant (₹250) and his silicone sealant.
Great Video bro...Your videos are so informative and detailed. Can I use 3M Marine sealant for the same job? it will be more cost effective. Just not sure about the longevity. Kindly advise.
I'm not sure buddy.
Hi Abhinav, may I ask what would happen in case of a couple of spokes becoming loose over time and requiring re-seating/adjustments? Would the process have to be done again entirely?
I think then that time you have to pull off the seal from that particular spoke and tighten it and then sealed it again
Wow! This is great! Very nice handle bars! May i ask which brand and model?
KTM 390 Duke. I got them powder coated black.
This must be a silicon
I used it for my colg project where we used this for sticking hardner to our moto safe frame of aluminium
( Moto safe - our colg project , basically a shellter for bike which has track on which bikes front wheel get locked and bike can be pushed inside with hand )
I might be wrong be what I belive is they have just rebranded the bottel of silicon
PSC 9688 Actually we used butyl rubber mixed proportional with polyurethane for keeping the integrity. It does look like silicone but it's 300% more tensile strength and pressure sensitive than silicone
@@way2speed hey thanks for reply
And clearing my doubt 👍👍👍👍
Appreciate that u replied
Hey, Abhinav. Helpful video. What will be the process in case you need to adjust the spoke tension after a couple thousand kilometres? Will the sealant get in the way of that?
I don't know that yet. Sorry.
Hi Abhinav, a set of questions I have on your rear wheel. Is it aluminium rim? what is the width of the rear rim? What they cost?
It's good but I feel some alloy manufacturer should come out with the spoked alloys like Suzuki V Storm for Royal Enfield
Once this lockdown ends, I will do a video on my latest bike and the tubeless spoked rims on it.
@@abhinavbhatt .... That's great
A channel called Jake the garden snake has also done something similar to his FZ 07.
I liked that more. Multiple layers of tape right?!
Hey Abhi. Good Job. Can you please tell me about those usd forks? which motorcycle comes from? any special brand/size? did you changed the triple clamp as well? thanks.
I'll explain in a video some day.
Why didn't you choose alloy rims when you changed them?
Great solution
Definately going to use this on my adv👍
Looks something similar to the silicon gel used for aquarium glass pasting
No. It is different, the manufacturer says.
I doubt this is silicone. Silicone does not do well in high temp conditions, Its probably polyurethane like the 3M 5200 but a cheaper version.
If Repair the Spoke Wheel and Change any SPOKE /WIRE than this solution damage or not working, may be again applying of THIS SOLUTION, its costly if you again & Again Repair the wheel, because on every SERVICE repair the wheel necessary, Kindly reply, Thank you for Your Informative Videos Sir
Formula X gel is also there, you should try that on your R15 or adv390.
Now I have this. I'll try it next time on another bike.
No need of 6k ,it just heatresistant engine paste is enough which cost less than 1k for one wheel
Nice video, just throwing an idea to you, next project on your Enfield RE650 can be mono shock conversation.
I thought about it once, but then not sure if it would look good at all. May stop looking retro completely. So avoided.
@@abhinavbhatt I think it will look good and handle good too. Also it will have a cleaner look, might be the only one out there with a mono shock. Maybe weight reduction too.
I think this is the same material used to seal aquariums!! And they cost ₹250 only
This material is different.
Hi @abhinav bhatt. Can you give long-term review on way2speed tubeless conversion kit please.
It's a normal waterproof silicone sealant which comes for 180rs.
Hey, just wanted to check up on how the tubeless kit is holding up as of now. :)
No problems at all.
@@abhinavbhatt thanks for the reply, it's much appreciated!
But you have done a good content on this much appreciated work so big like
Hi Abhinav love what you have done to your Interceptor.
Also upgrading to 150 section tyre at rear is it a good idea? I have seen some bikes but I am yet to get any concrete feedback on long term efficacy of the upgrade.
You don't need to, really. 130 is enough. 150 looks nicer though. That's about it.
@@abhinavbhatt That hits the nail on the head. Thanks
Bro is this the silicon thats used for sealing glass windows and doors
No. The seller says it is not.
@@abhinavbhatt 😃 if you have some left with you , u can definitely compare it with that silicon, it looks the same and even the bottle is exactly the same
RE : Let's develop a new smooth dual cylinder 650 engine in UK, let's put that on a beautiful retro-sport design.... And let's not give any tubeless tyre to it. Coz we're RE.
Great video ,,, But I guess there is technical miss , While if suppose one of the spoke bend or break or any case you need to replace , then have to undo all .. Then all the work waste . Its not a full proof solution .
Definitely not fullproof.
It’s normal silicon... what’s so special about it ? You can buy it form any corner hardware shop
Seller says this is not silicone.
Can you say what all modifications hv you done to your bike from the stock to reach such an out of the world performance?... I hv seen all of your videos on this interceptor but couldn't catch up with these.... and the cost u hv sparred out of your pocket till date on that motorcycle.... please and thanks....
P.S I am trying to build up a monster interceptor and might use some help from yours
Nice Video. Can this be used for jawa Perak. It is notoriously well known for punctures, and with no center stand, that bike will be a nightmare!
Yes.
