    Good to see you've got a new video ! I have to say that I would have gone back and adjusted the ink mix. I thought it was to orange when first mixed. Also, still can't get over that your exposure time with the Baselayr Plastisol is only 18sec with fluorescent exposing. Good work !

      It’s been a while but still here! And yeah for sure it was too orange that’s why I did adjust to a darker brown! And I’m pretty satisfied with that!🙌🏽

    I’ve always heard that lightest color or least amount of color goes first. Could that have been why you were getting that orange color? I’ve always always seen people end with black color. As somebody who hasn’t really done multi color just curious why you went in the order you did..

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  2 года назад

      Good question and I usually do end with the black color especially for spot color designs. This however wasn’t a spot color design and it just seem to mix with the red and yellow with the order I did. The reason it came out more orange was because that ink was too orange. That’s why I switched to the darker brown ink!

    dope, but level the platens. I sold my hopkins and upgraded for this specific reason. It's fine for spot colors but on your first close up, all top colors were shifted right but on the final product shots, all were shifted left. Sims on any ryonet press is a pain.

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  2 года назад +1

      Definitely a huge pain that’s been driving me crazy! Glad to hear I’m not the only one. Just like you said for spot colors it can be resent but when it’s butt to but registration it can get very tricky. What did you upgrade to?

    • @Tyler-216
      @Tyler-216 2 года назад +1

      @@baavproductions Had the Hopkins 4/4 for about 8 years. I upgraded to an 8/8 Vastex V1000, had nothing but issues, dealt with it for 2 years, reached out Vastex, they said "hmmm, that's odd, let's get you a new press". We made an agreement, they wanted to send me a 6/6 V2000 in exchange for the 8/8 V1000 (they're closer in price). I asked if they could send an 8/8 instead and I'd pay the difference. Ever since, it's been an absolute dream to work on the V2000.
      Unfortunately Vastex and Hopkins have been the only two I've used, so I can't speak for other presses. The V2000s can be expensive but they can also be upgraded. A 4/4 press can be upgraded to a 10/10, I believe. Their conveyor dryers are also expandable. Do stay away from the V1000s though, definitely tempting at the price point but pay the extra and and get something that'll last decades.

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  2 года назад

      Interesting! Glad to hear you got the issues resolved and have a press that’s solid now. You thinking of growing to an auto anytime soon or sticking to manual?
