Great test, explanation of cutting approach, and humility to show the mistakes.
    Thank you for sharing, sir.

For your adaptive toolpaths, in Fusion on the last tab, for linking parameters, set your stay down level to most, and the max distance to 6" and set your no engagement feed to 100 in/min, and it will stop all of those vertical retracts between small linking moves... It will stay down, and only vertically retract about .01" and it speeds up your adaptives by a good amount.... Also, it's a good way to get around the no rapid moves with a free version of fusion 360. 👍🏻

There any plans for a HALO style flood coolant system?

May want to note to use caution with titanium - I think you were on the edge of lighting some chips on fire

It would have been even better if there is somewhere on the screen that says STAINLESS STEEL or TITANIUM when the machine is working on the piece.

Does it come with those 2 probes for setting zero and home?

It looks as if at a certain point, the coolant isn't aimed at the tool correctly, which is causing the overheating. I think that's why it damaged. Still pretty impressive that it worked so well for as long as it did!

I wonder if hhs is a better choice for these machines vs carbide tools?
Carbide demands a stiff setup or tool life suffers greatly.
Hhs is way slower but accepts deflection and sloppy machines much better without failing. And it’s cheaper.
Just hear the spindle with a 10-1 reduction to get the rpm in line

Easier said than done in a small package. These router type spindles that run at 24,000 RPM are purchased off the shelf, they are usually 400 or 800hz motors, controlled with a vfd. They are picked because of their small package. The key is with these spindles is that you have to just use small cutters that get you to a high RPM at a given sfm... My mill at home has a similar spindle, BT30, 3hp 12,000 rpm and the absolute Max cutter you can use is 1/2", but it likes .375 or .25 a lot more, especially in hard materials.... If you try to drill with a .25" hss drill bit in steel, you just can't get the RPM low enough without stalling, because these spindles lose torque as you drop rpm... It is a much different thought process than running a large vmc. I use Mazak at work all day, and I have to really change my programming at home on the small machine. It's just not the same thought process.

Everyone spending there high end knife budget on machines to sart a knife company.
That’s gonna hurt the knife making market.
They won’t flood the market. They won’t succeed unfortunately,
The issue is all the money that may have been spent on knifes are now being spent on desktop cnc’s.
That being said. I would much prefer lots of people being creative with cnc’s than having fancy knives collect dust.

Just let the markets correct the over saturation. Theyll figure it out eventually like any other product it'll be the best ones that make it.
