If it's about education, the bulk of those issues are local and state-wide. That's why during Covid, every state was doing something different w their students.
This is one of the main issues, people don’t understand how local, state, and federal government work.
Education is local issue that is what housing taxes pay for school, the national testing system is federal but that does not matter. Just because your local school wants to teach the minimum to satisfy the federal government, that's your communities doing. You can demand your local schools teach more advanced stuff. You think private schools just teach the minimum? My grade schoolteacher started a math club and started us on high school math it was voluntary and those of us who wanted to learn went. I also took Japanese classes at another school because it was free no pressure, just a desire to learn. I did the same for pre-engineering classes for those who just wanted to learn over the summer nothing super advanced, but you got to work with computers and try different things. Deciding not to do the minimum is an attitude thing. My parents didn't even know about these classes I just took good teachers who would make sure to tell us about after school and summer programs that were at different schools, guess what those summer programs and foreign language classes were not jammed packed. If anything, it takes local funded groups to form and teachers willing to teach them. That is local/state money not federal money. Looking to just blame the government is wrong.
