I have changed the haldex filter in 2 VW Tiguan's that I own. Both time I spent ages trying to fit the white nylon bush to no avail! Even tried to use a G clap to force it in. But it wouldn't fit! I ended up refitting the old nylon bung in each case.
Now I know why!!!!!!
Both cars are 14 years old now and destined to be traded in but in future I will remember to order the genuine parts!
Yes! The copy ones are too big. Total nightmare.

All the gen 4 (genuine) I've used have a spring
100% they do not. No Gen 4 filter comes with a spring. Only Gen 2 and 3 come with a spring. You are probably being sold a copy filter under the pretence it is a proper one.
For example, if you google the Volvo part number 31325173 and look at the images, all ones in volvo branded bags do not have a spring. Like wise if you find any photos of a Genuine ford branded 1673828 part that has no spring, and lastly Land Rover genuine branded boxed ones LR032298..... 100% if it has a spring in a Gen 4 Haldex filter it is a china copy part.
