I do not understand why many people disliked this movie Thor Ragnarok is funny, epic and the scene of the Asgardian ship encountering Thanos ship was epic
to me its the army of darkness from the mcu its so disconected from the rest of the franchise (or the thor trilogy) and its very self aware of that, that it ended up being its own thing. except that army of darkness is part of the evil dead series and they are my favorite horror movies, ragnarok is part of the thor franchise and the first film was meh, and the second one was terrible (seriusly i accept anything weird and bizarre than anything related to katt dennigs), so ragnarok was prety much a lucky shot
I think it was becuase of the fact that it was a comedy. Although i think it was done that way to harden the impact of infinity war. Going from the lighthearted tone of ragnarok, to the absolute demination of infinity war
It's not funny. For me the jokes are forced in to the point when the entire movie is interrupt with random silliness. It got predictable because whenever something emotional was happening, a joke would cut it off. I found most of the jokes unfunny, sometimes annoying.
This movie has probably the best soundtrack out of any superhero movie I've ever seen. It sounds very comic bookish, in some strange way. It's very 90s video gamish (like the old XCOM), which brings this kind of nostalgic nerdiness to it, which translates beautifully to comic books as well. I just love it so much.
Hands down the best Marvel feature length movie. Great setting, interesting plot, likeable characters, killer soundtrack, and the jokes are actually funny.
Damian Starks , well, i think we are, but i just cant stop listening to this song, and to be honest with u, while u just replied me, even before that and till NOW, i was still listening to this song lol!🤣😂😂
Yeah, he did Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3 and CTR (the PS1 originals, not the remakes). Other games he's composed for include: Jak and Daxter 1, 2, 3 and X, The Sims 2, The Simpsons Game, and more recently Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
It sounds like something from a Genesis game to me. That system's sound hardware was practically MADE to make a song like this sound awesome. And I'm disappointed that no one on RUclips has made that version yet. Get on it, guys!
Funny you should say that. The same composer actually worked on the original Crash Bandicoot games on PS1 (also the Jak and Daxter series, and more recently Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart).
Found it fitting that Thor: Ragnarok’s credits theme was 80s-ish as Infinity War took place right after Ragnarok’s mid-credits scene And that he will soon be rescued by the Guardians who are jamming to a 70s album
@Ricardo Moto They're actually the same version of Thor, just this one hasn't learned humility or suffered from true defeat yet. He doesn't learn that until after Infinity War.
This film is rather like a 35-yrs-later Flash Gordon -- color palette, synth score, over-the-top action -- and that's one of the reasons I love it. Wonder if Waititi had it deliberately in mind. Same is generally true for Aquaman and Dark Phoenix, but to lesser extents.
God there were parts of this movie that made me think of if they ever made the video game Borderlands into a movie, then the feel of half this movie would be in that theoretical movie.
It does actually. We played it during a sound check before a local event just to see if it would. What's needed though is a longer version. Would have been nice if the soundtrack had an extended club mix.
I fell asleep like 15 times in the start of this movie while attempting to watch it. Finally watched it on attempt number 16. Best movie ever right along side Endgame.
Should have had him dancing to the whole thing off to the side in the credits lol, or better yet showed him with his music rig like he was DJing/ live performing it.
my way of watching mcu movies was very disordered. I watched Ragnarok after infinity war and endgame. and watching this movie made me happy on so many levels. this song at the end felt so nostalgic, I was missing Loki so much. it's like a happy goodbye to him as he dies in infinity war. I can't stop thinking about it :( but there's this theory that since he stole the tessaract back in 2012, he messed with the timeline and from that, he might be alive. I hope the Disney+ Loki series shows him being alive after all that
Thor Ragnarok was hands down the greatest score! It has that mighty orchestral vibe and then does a full 180 and has music that is very space like and sounds very 80s, kick ass movie and the entire set design was awesome! Thor Ragnarok is a treasure.
I love this funny movie. They are mocking their own Marvel movie. It's ridiculous on purpose because remember when a stoned character said : "the only thing that make sense is that it doesn't make sense".
Thor franchise had a huge record of misleading their end credits song name since the first movie where the end credit song named as ' Thor kills the destroyer' and now Planet Sakkar
Would love a 5 to 9 minute version on this on Vinyl...or lossless PCM. This would hit hard in a hard, but 2 minutes doesn't leave much runway to mix in and out of.
I noticed this version in the beginning is different from the one from the credits. At the start, the bass is less stronger and there is almost like a heavenly feel to it and like it sounds people were singing. Compared to this one that the bass is strong from start to finish. Anyone know if i can find that version?
I LIKE Thor and I can remember SEEING Dark World and digging as I was watching it... I couldn't tell you a THING about what happened in that movie. Part of the final battle was some fake out, that's about it. THIS MOVIE I still remember a year on, though. I will NOT be forgetting this one anytime soon.

the only thing that made endgame a bit worse was fat thor. Wouldnt say thor ragnarok is better than engame but thor in thor ragnarok is the best

Yes. I dislike the soundtracks that sound like "wallpaper music". This isn't one.
I was really surprised in the cinema when this started playing. I'd never heard such a distinct score in a Marvel film.
LabradorIndependent the avengers theme is pretty unique

Thor Ragnarok, the movie that brought me to the MCU. A cinematic legend indeed.
