Thank you so much for creating this series. I have purchased the pattern and the wonderful templates and currently using them. Everything is so well designed that by following the instructions and your video series I felt confident enough to attempt making this stunning quilt for my daughter. I have currently completed 28 blocks and hoping to have the quilt finished by Christmas. As I live in Barcelona, the variety of quilting material is limited, thankfully Laundry basket quilts delivers worlwide :-)
Thanks for the tip about sewing from the center out, flipping the block over and sewing again from the center out to the other side. Appreciate the pointers
Just got a pre-cut set for my mom and I yo do together with the fiber hustle podcast quilt-along!! I’ve never sewn anything substantial like this and am quiet excited!!
Edyta I just finished the blue Alaska quilt using the boxed pre-cut kit, I absolutely love it!!! Can you please make the same kit for the Alaska quilt using you Sweet Sixteen fabric?!?!?! 🙏 Thank you!!
My pattern and kit came with the creative grids Alaska Ruler. The ruler comes with general instructions, but i cant find the specific widths to cut the strips. In the video Edyta mentions 3.5 inches for the triangle block, but i did not hear the others.
Hi Edyta, you mentioned that you sew right through from edge to edge. Is this only for that particular piece you demonstrated? What are the guidelines for when you sew edge to edge and when you sew from the marked point to marked point? Thank you
Edyta so happy to start this quilt, I will do the scrappy version, I have a question. the scrappy one on your blog isn't in the same as the rainbow one. I feel unsure on my fabric choices, do I follow your scrappy one faithfully or pick the fabrics similar to your rainbow pattern? Hope I make sense, thank you again xxx
I think if your going for the rainbow look you could pick any fabrics you like just try to have the over all color look similar. If that makes since. So you could use Kaffe Fassett but the over all color is green or what ever your color is.
Dear Editah, I love this job and would like to do it using fabrics I have at home. I have Alaska ruler, I wanted to buy the templates, but the shipping costs for Europe are really too expensive, can I cut the pieces with Alaska ruler? Thanks for the reply.
I just bought the Rainbow Alaska kit with uncut fabric. The pattern included a paper template, but not the thin plastic template with the holes. Where can we get those plastic templates with the holes?
@@susheela108 I see the acrylic templates for $24.95, but I don’t see the thinner stencil material template set. I have since purchased the acrylic templates.
@@veramats Vera, I think the thin plastic templates comes when you buy the precut box, it has holes in the 1/4” points to help mark those intersections as you sew the units together. Go to RUclips and watch her video on the introduction to the Alaska Rainbow quilt, she explains it towards the end of the video.
Received the kit. Not sure what this fabric actually is but it is not 100% cotton. A bit disappointed, it was expensive and the fabric seems very cheap. Will make the quilt, but not sure...
The website says they've used Andover's century solids, which are 100% cotton. Curious: does it feel off somehow, or do the edges (perhaps laser cut) feel weird?
@@melindat5711 Happy to hear, The fabric choice must have changed because I use Kona all the time, mine was not Kona. I loved the pattern...I'm sure yours will be lovely,

Wow this is such a beautiful quilt. Yest another quilt that hits it out of the ball park in wonderfulness!
I know I am pretty off topic but do anyone know a good website to stream new series online?
@Zane Zakai I use flixzone. You can find it on google =)
I am completely blown away with the quilt precuts I just received!!! I went back to her site and ordered more quilt kits. She is AMAZING.
Can't wait to start, ordered the precut kit. Eagerly waiting
Thank you 🙏🏾 very nice.
Edyta, you are precious and so enjoyable to watch. I love this quilt. Your work is so gorgeous. 💕

What a wonderful idea! Maybe for our precut kit ;D
I just got my pattern and templates in the mail, can't wait to get started!
Me too! I would never try a quilt like this but with the help of the videos and blog I think I can.
I got the kit. I've never used a kit that is already cut. It seems luxurious to me. I'm silly!
Ooooo I’m jealous!, 😃. Enjoy 🐢
Прекрасно, очень подробно, большое спасибо!!!❤️❤️❤️

What do you use to mark with please?

wouldn't it be easier and make the piecing more accurate to cut the tips of the triangles off using the template rather than leaving them on?
Hi Carleen! If that works best for you, then absolutely you can do that :D
The pattern is wrong! Tells you you need 6 strips of 2 1/4” teal fabric from a fat eighth. Which is only 9”x 22”.
Are there still kits available?
I have the pattern and ruler. Pattern is not rainbow colors. how do I get fabric requirement for the rainbow and us my fabrics?
I bought the pattern, need to figure out material to use, plus Bought some from you. No need to figure out
Also got the templates

That's why I prefer batiks. Not all 100% cotton is equal, depends on the count.
@@MrsGraphiteGal Batiks are my all time favorite!! I was just thinking this quilt would look great in batiks.
@ Kathleen K. 😪 I just ordered the kit. Kona solids are wonderful. I just made a quilt for my grandson and the fabric is lovely.
