His main problem is that he can’t fight. Characters like Iron man and Spider-Man would be able to beat him because of this. If he could fight, that would scale him a lot higher.

People tend to underestimate Homelander, of course, he's not even close to other comic book superheroes, but the fact that he moves faster than an explosion, has external as well as internal resistance, is immune to almost all the drugs in his universe. and can withstand nuclear bombs without problems puts it at a pretty high level in my opinion
I mean yeez... most of the generic superheroes in the boys universe are bulletproof and possess super strength (prime video series)

@@C4smicz I'm sorry, my fault, but in the first episodes of the first season it is made clear that they used the most advanced weaponry against him, I think they mention something about bombs, I'm not sure, and if not I doubt that the explosion of soldier boy could not Damaging it would perhaps nullify its powers, but if Maeve could withstand the explosion at point-blank range...
@@CarpeDiem-hy2ej They did used advanced weaponry and failed, but that doesn't mean he tanked it, could also mean he outran the explosion.
And Maeve barely survived it, seen it took a huge time for her to come back, with scars and bandages still being on her body.
You could argue that Homelander is superior than Maeve in durability, but, the show itself shows that it isn't a huge advantage.

I think even if Johnny have his green power, he still lost. That whole green glow he had when he fight Shinnok has been confirm to be some sort of energy that can make natural born God weaker. It is basically a "Kryptonite" rip-off. Both Johnny and Cassie didn't truly surpass Shinnok like Liu Kang did back in MK4, they just weaken him. Is like how Batman can beat Superman with Kryptonite. That glow definitely not effecting Homelander.

One of the biggest nerfs for homelander is caused by the show's budget limitations. If the fight between homelander and soldier boy trashed the city instead of the room people would still have him on the top shelf.
In diabolical, that small snippet of homelander fighting noir was more magical than the live action allows due to budget and the laws of physics

Gag's aside, Ermac could literally consume Homelander's soul. And correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Homelander's invincibility factor only apply to his exterior? In that case, Sub-Zero might prove problematic, as the body is comprised heavily of water and if memory serves, we only have vague confirmation that he can resist being frozen. I was going to bring up Rain in that same argument, but I had a thought and looking back confirmed it; Rain has no abilities or fatalities in mainline MK games where he syphons the water from someone's body. Kinda shocked, actually.

He maintains his holier-than-thou Godlike persona, so he wouldn't likely take them seriously. And then there's awareness; a sniper could likely hit him - not hurt him, mind you - so long as he was unaware. Being unaware that this ninja can freeze anything he touches or that guy literally eats souls would spell the end for him if he treats them like an ordinary person. And I see no reason to think Homelander would ever do anything but that.

@NEXTKINGDOM14 Havok does essentially have immortality, so yes, he is winning the war, but in terms of powers and raw strength, I think Homlander (as boring as his powers are compared to havok).

Anyone with magic should be able to get the job done, Homelander is immune to conventional weapons, not magic. Plus this is Mortal Kombat humans, they're literally built different than regular universe of humans, and that goes doubly so for Outworlders.

He didn't killed them, only manage to beat them. Shinnok is the only one he failed as the game lore state he escaped the fight. As for nerf you say, yea not really on reboot, more like the start of the franchise since he got killed by Scorpion in the first MK game. He manage to beat the Elementals including Fujin, but then got wreck by Scorpion. And when he return as Noob Saibot, he doesn't do any crazy feats at all. More like a jobber. Hard to expect much from the M1K Bi-Han because he gets tossed around by characters that should be weaker than him. And also how NeatherRealm’s story telling makes trying to figure out how strong a character is incredibly difficult.

It's not Hanzo Hasashi from the past two timelines. If it was, then Homelander has no chance to beat that Scorpion, especially since the ninja wraith can just pull him straight into the Netherrealm.
This is the MK1 version of Kwai Liang. A mortal pyromancer ninja however awesome, is still mortal. He'd put up a fight but no chance he wins. Heck I'll be fair and say MKX/11 Hanzo also loses fir that same reason.

If it’s MK Deception Ermac, I’d say he wins. He held 5 super powerful warriors down so Liu could free them from Onaga, and he literally says he wasn’t trying to hurt them so he didn’t go anywhere close to full power. Though if it’s MK1 like it seems to be, yeah he loses sadly.

I feel like Ermac the collective vessel of who knows how many souls, able to use telekinesis, and shown at least in gameplay able to conjure up souls to help him through fights he has a good chance of winning out all of the losers. But I think it comes down to how he uses it so maybe 50/50 since I think he has the powers to do it just will Ermac do it fast enough.

Would “Activate Sonic Boom” work against Homelander? I mean, it’s essentially a much much stronger version of the blast Black Noir tanked, Sonic Book stripped a Butterfly (Essentially a stronger version of a V-enhanced Human like Kimiko or Black Noir) down to the bone, Sonic Boom is what I think could make Peacemaker a “maybe” if he spams that enough, it will kill Homelander.

predictably gonna hard disagree with havik. sure he couldn't kill him his normal way, but havik's stupid regeneration doesn't give him the strength to hurt homelander. at the absolute best, every little thing going right for havik, he stalemates. 999/1000 times, homelander just throws him into space or drowns him or locks him in the vought oven or does a million other things to ice him rather than physical damage. keep in mind that havik's powers literally come from quan chi, if he can just outheal anything homelander has to offer, then so could QC, or any other proficient sorcerer. havik's regen is a borrowed party trick that mortals would see as invincibility, he's absolutely nothing special in the series

I definitely think that if Reiko could beat Onaga in a fight (look at the Homelander vs Reiko intros) then Reiko could easily take Homelander. I also think Ermac could defeat Homelander considering he has the powers of all the souls from the living forest as well as Sindel and her banshee scream. I think that Repile could win due to his super strength, speed, durability, camouflage, and acidic abilities. I also think Rain could win since he was powerful enough to flood an entire city and kill millions even with out any sort of power boosts, and that Asha and Quan Chi should be moved from “can maybe beat him”, to “can definitely beat him”

Shang Tsung most definitely has a very high chance to beat all of the cast imo His cunning, deviousness, as well as morphing ability which can copy entire abilities from an opponent, plus the fact that he can absorb someone's literal soul makes him a godlike threat. Imagine Homelander or Omni Man with the intelligence of Shang Shung. That's game, set and match right there. Even if everything else fails through research and experimentations, he could find a potential agent or infection to weaken Homelander, if prep time was on his side. Heck he created a Mileena with his intelligence... which made her a menace to other timelines.
Quan Chi is overrated at best. Dude got his ass handed to him by Sonya... like he really got his ass whooped. Therefore, there is no way he stands a chance against Homelander.

Sub zero broke through his telekinetic grasp with his human strength.
Telekinesis is also confirmed to not work on Homelander, since his internal tissues are as durable. Hence Neuman cannot one-shot Homelander, and all that Kimiko’s brother’s telekinesis did to Homelander was to stall him with no real damage.
@@kingol4801 I’ve never seen the boys before but the feet with subzero was plot armor and for the sake of the story. Homelanders got a soul. Ermac has access to sindels screams and other MAGIC based abilities. Mk1 Ermac got it. I’m 50 percent certain Homelander has no magic resistance. And no resistance against soul based attacks.

Let's be honest. Homelander is definitely a big fish, but he isn't a shark. He's basically a barracuda in a sea salt pond full of angelfish.
His strength is insane, but it's nothing compared to some heavy hitters. My honest thoughts are that he would honestly have issues with Katara, Mileena, Reptile, Baraka and Tanya. He would even die to them, especially against Natara, Rain, Reiko and Li Mei.
There is no scene in The Boys (from my recollection) that shows Homelander fighting anything that's not from Earth, such as Omni-Man fighting aliens and beings that weren't from Earth. And you can say that the Kombatants from Earthrealm can survive attacks from such characters, but here's the thing- they were TRAINED to fight those beings. It wasn't like Johnny Cage is a regular guy who is made to fight Goro. Rather, he was trained to fight a being that definitely isn't from Earth and could brutally destroy him. Homelander has no such training. He is made to fight against beings FROM Earth.
Unless there is clear proof to gladly disprove this section: the materials and powers from the characters I mentioned before aren't something Homelander could survive against as they are not from Earth. They could potentially hold properties that would absolutely obliterate anyone from Earthrealm (i.e. having a toxin that is nonlethal to someone from Edenia but absolutely dangerous to someone from Earthrealm- like how chocolate is okay for humans but deadly to dogs).
I believe Homelander will be destroyed by anyone not from Earthrealm, or won't be able to win so easily. I am not underestimating him or saying he's weak, but he is just an overpowered human at the end of the day- a true science experiment that created a human superman.

I love your videos but if I may debate alittle. I think homelander is vulnerable to magic. While in the boys magic doesn't exist. I do think if it was it be a gg ez against homelander. As homelander and superman have similar weaknesses. Both are weak to sound attacks. Though for superman it just hurts for homelander it's crushing. And we'll magic isn't a easy solution for superman as he just is vulnerable to magic. But if we assume that homelander has superman weaknesses but worse. Magic could probably cook homelander. So I think Ermac could win the fight easy. And definitely at full power. Quan chi has a slightly better chance I think mainly because of all the resources at his back. Quan chi would outlast homelander and then sneak in with a soul stab. Everyone else I agree on. I'm glad you said asharah is a maybe because some think no and that's lame. Really nobody but the immortal characters can stand a chance. Havik even though he's immortal has no way to actually harm homelander. Sindel would get speed blitzed before she can even scream. Ashra isn't fast enough to even touch homelander. Geerus maybe but it's only if his powers can allow him to erase homelander or something. Raiden is too weak, shao too. But shang has a good chance not because chemistry let's be real but because his morphing. Imagine he mirrors homelander, I think he'd have a good chance since he's a better fighter than homelander.
