Is thereno need to cover the adapter plate where it mates up at? Looks exposed and id gate to do all that and gave something messed up cause of diet/debris.

Did you have to do anything to make the gauges work? Just swapped a Collins cd009 into my is300 (had oem 5 speed before) and none of my gauges work.
