Can we all just sit in awe of how much G communicates even on his youtube... Every real question asked here he has responded to! YOU A REAL ONE GERARD!!!
Hey G. Can't thank you enough for such a detailed walkthrough of this process. Just have one question. Were you able to maintain the Cruise Control feature after the swap? If so what specifically you do? Thanks in advance.
@@obxurv not exactly but it's definitely Htown type beat/lyrics a lot like the stuff that came from the TX Legends of the SUC,UGK, SWISHA, DJSCREW,CHAM, KEKE,SLIM, TRAE, RO,RAP ALOT ETC.ETC..😅
@@SERIALNINE Will this same kit (CD-PRO) line up pretty well for the JZS160? As far as fitting in the stock shifter position, will I need to run some sort of custom center console?
I assume you're talking about the transmission itself at idle or low load situations. That is inherent to the CD009 when you remove the OEM dual mass flywheel. Therefore that will happen with even IN a 350Z or G35. But yea ours rattles a bit
How did you find the drivability of the car once you installed the cd009 box in there and just the overall gear ratios and fuel efficiency. Am mainly asking as I’ve got a is300 with a w58 swapped into it and am considering this, ar5, getrag or r154 as a contender due to panning to turbo the n/a 2jz and make some power . Not going for crazy power so just mainly looking at reliability and Just a overall improvement compared to the current supra w58 box I have
So the gearing is great if you have a 3.7 final drive. It is definitly a little shorter than a stock 3.7 equipped R154 car but the spread is better. Its similar to running a 4.1 in your R154 car but with better and more ratios. IE 2-3 is closer together so mid drift shifts are easy and keep the turbo lit. However if youre into drag racing or high speed roll racing then you'd want to build a 3.5 or maybe even modify to use the 3.26 diffs out of the GS type cars. I've tried this when i had my aristo and absolutely hated it as the gears were so unbelievebly long.
Will this method work on a toyota altezza gita that came with the 2jz? Chassis code is JCE10W and I was wondering if this kit would serve my needs. The car never came in a manual
This shifter is over 9" shorter than the OEM shifter. It's absolutely impossible to run the stock shifter in any car except the cars these transmissions came in.

Great video! I love the part where you torque the flywheel bolts and are in synch with the background music.
Thank you very much, We worked hard on that !
Good stuff , not a lot of trans tunnel modification. Might do this for my IS200 one day once I throw a 1j in it 👍
friend!!!!!congratulations;your work excellent I have a 2001 lexus is300 it runs!!FROM PUERTO RICO!!!
the synchronized music with torquing / hammering is awesome.
thanks to whoever edited it
What's the music at 28:30 ?
Thank you!
I like ya video bro straight forward and to the point with knowledge to know how to do it yourself appreciate it G
less than a minute in, already like and subscribed. this is what i've been looking for in more detail tytytyttytyty
Thank you!! We have lots more videos!
Can’t wait to swap mine

You know the song??

Intro song?? Sick cars, great vid
Clean
Great video so basically buy this kit, transmission, clutch, pedal and master assembly and the emulator? Am i missing anything
Good question
Do I have to do a 2nd or a 3rd gear burnout when done? And this breaks in the clutch?
😁
Hell yeah!!
You gotta, the burnout helps with the calibration of the alignment and transmission also it helps get your used to its new transmission
Would this be the same for a jzx100 chaser.??
Essentially the same, trans/clutch/flywheel And measurements are the same. It just looks different.
At bell housing I said damn this is gonna get deep lol
Hey I would love to see a video on the gs300
Which GS300?
@@SERIALNINE Will this same kit (CD-PRO) line up pretty well for the JZS160? As far as fitting in the stock shifter position, will I need to run some sort of custom center console?
@@nuisynth no it fits perfectly! Keep the cup holders too!
@@SERIALNINE ohhhh yes, that's exciting. Thanks bro! I love some oem plus-looking stuff 😋
@@SERIALNINE the only one that matters
Does this kit also rattles like everyone says on the is300?

It is essentially the exact same.
whats the driveshaft for the jzs147?
Sorry I don't have that measurement

What's your overall review if the cd009 option?
10/10
Will it work with stock 2jz from is300 been looking into it a lot but not 100% sure if the bell housing will like up to it
It will work perfectly. All of the JZ's have the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing side. Our prototype car was a complelety stock IS300
Will this method work on a toyota altezza gita that came with the 2jz? Chassis code is JCE10W and I was wondering if this kit would serve my needs. The car never came in a manual
Yes this is the same car!!
Now how do we instal a clutch pedal
so can i do this to my is300
Yes!!
how do we get speedo to work on an original 5 speed is300
I would assume if your car got manual tunnel no trimming required
No the CD009 is longer and will still need a small amount of trimming for the CD999 shifter to come through
Do I need to do the hammering on the actual IS300 as well?
Yes, They have the same transmission tunnel
I would also like to ask a few questions
Ask away!
What energy suspension mount is that you are using for the X-member Pro?
Please Email info@serialnine.com
@7:56
*cutting guide-I'm outchea mane fk this haha
What clutch master are you using? People are telling me i need to run a 3/4 master (currently have a sc300 master)
We run the factory Toyota master cylinders which are 5/8. You do not need a 3/4 with our kit.
Does the shifter rattle like short shifters usually do and what would be the reason to use this shifter instead of a 350Z OEM shifter?
This shifter is over 9" shorter than the OEM shifter. It's absolutely impossible to run the stock shifter in any car except the cars these transmissions came in.
No it doesn't rattle at all
I just dont wanna have to cut my interior to fit the cd
I guess W58 or R154 it is then!
It’s not a big cut lol
Is it for sale? I can offer 3500
Definitely not a is300 guide lmao
Y not
These cars share the same chassis, dimensions, transmission tunnels, firewalls all identical.
