I've just noticed this in the interactions comp, but what is it with the Licht Kris ladies and their obsession with Super Hero landings (Minus Mika) in their intros?
Probably a hold-over of how they're like Ciel and the Burial Agency members who're always standing on top of light-posts. They observe from a higher ground before dropping in to either save people or break up fights.
At this point you'd think the wary would start to look up around them in search of executors. Not to mention even Wald (somehow) does it too. Apparently, it's a centuries-old tradition.
@DeepestDankest 65% was clearly an overstatement. I'm very sorry your translations are pretty solid and I like your creative writing. I think I was in a bad mood. I'll post my suggestions but I'm Japanese and English isn't my first language. I can get you what's being said and my suggestion but you might have to think up better phrasing. 0:07 My suggestion: Linne: Are you even trying? (not necessarily mistranslation but I think this it is phrased better this way) 0:32 Hyde: 懲りねえ野郎だな 懲りる is to learn from past mistakes Hyde probably has beaten Carmine pretty bad before and he came back anyway. I'd suggest something like: Haven't you learned your lesson? 1:24 Seth: 分かりきったことだ。必要なかろう He is saying that the score has been already settled because he is confident that he is stronger and it's unnecessary to do it again My suggestion: No need to reaffirm the obvious. 1:32 Seth: それでよく大口を叩けたものだ Maybe it was just a case of liberal translation. Literally it's more: I'm surprised how big your mouth is given how weak you are. 1:50 Okay this one I feel you just didn't catch what was said Hilda: その余裕…なめられたものね Hyde: 開き直ってるだけだ。気にすんなよ 開き直る is a very difficult concept to explain. It's like giving up trying to change the situation and instead commiting to what was happening. Sometimes it's doubling down while you know you are wrong and losing just to appear confident, other times giving up trying to justify yourself in an argument and say things like "Yeah I did that, got a problem with it?" In this case, Hyde IS actually intimidated but he accepts that (開き直る), and that now gives him composure. My suggestion: Hilda: You seem calm. Do I not scare you? Hyde: I decided I don't care anymore. Don't worry about it, you are still scary. 3:33 Carmine: ガキが…お姉ちゃんとままごとでもしてな I think you got "your mother" from まま in ままごと (playing house) My suggestion: You little brat... Go play house with your sister. I'll work on the rest later!
I appreciate these a lot. There's only so much I can make out through only hearing voice lines and not having a written script to work with more accurately. My japanese is "antiquated" given I learned from my older cousins like 20 years ago. There's even a couple I just couldn't figure out like Wagner and Orie's 2nd exchange.
Man, little touches like this are always some of the best parts of fighting games
I really love how down to earth Gordeau’s interactions are. You wouldn’t expect that from a guy with an appearance and abilities like his.
It's one of the reasons he's my #1.
I love Hyde and orie interaction, when they beat each other up they apologize so wholeheartedly
Kuon is so chill to be considered a final boss.
Ikr, bro calls carmine "mr scary person" like this is the final boss?? I love it but was expecting someone closer to terumi.
3:31 Well damn.
Nice job showing those. A lot of good ones. Poor Orie, when losing to Merk. Great vid.
Love how Carmine and Hyde just hate each other for no reason
Carmine hates everyone. Well minus the Axel kid.
2:01 seriously Hyde another one. Also wording Wagner.
I''d love a written list of every non-subbed lines, for both UNIB 1 and UNIB 2, just to know by heart what they say.
2:00 pause; when the hell did wagner and hyde meet
In the 3 months of down time between Hyde beating Hilda and Kuon starting the apocalypse.
@@DeepestDankest yeah but wording Wagner does 👀 what does she mean?
Watch Vatista's ending.
@@DeepestDankest ok thanks

Mika probsbly tries and fails
@@DeepestDankest True. True, that makes sense.
I've been using Byakuya for a while now but I have never seen his "copying" interaction with B00ba girl.
That's because it's new.
The translations are like only 85% accurate
Tell me which ones are wrong and I'll fix them.

Linne: Are you even trying?

Hyde: 懲りねえ野郎だな
懲りる is to learn from past mistakes
Hyde probably has beaten Carmine pretty bad before and he came back anyway.
I'd suggest something like:

Seth: 分かりきったことだ。必要なかろう
He is saying that the score has been already settled because he is confident that he is stronger and it's unnecessary to do it again

No need to reaffirm the obvious.

Seth sounds so hateful to Kuon
Wish I could understand
