      Except at this point, the Packers & Steelers were two of the best defenses in the league. They were #1 & #2 defenses the next year also in the SB but yes this does sum up the majority of his career from 2011 onward (they had a very good defense in 2014 too but that's about it)

    • @hurricanestarang
      @hurricanestarang 5 лет назад +12

      Rodgers has lost his step 10 years after this, and proven he needs tools around him to be completely effective. Still an incredible quarterback who can throw 50 yards with a flick.

    • @emssasukeisunderrated7946
      @emssasukeisunderrated7946 5 лет назад +10

      @@hurricanestarang I disagree but at the same time, you need receivers to catch the ball. Just because the next person up isn't a big name doesn't mean they aren't talented, cause they are in the NFL. Rodgers can do it with anyone as long as they know how to catch (compared to say Andy Dalton who mainly needs A.J. Green to be effective) and I'd assume a WR in the NFL would know how to catch and somewhat get open although with him that's not necessary all the time.

    The Steelers coaching staff's decision to surprise onside kick it deserves major kudos. They had just gone up by 2 with 4 minutes left. Tomlin knew Rodgers was hot, and if they gave him the full field, he knew Rodgers had a very good chance to run out the clock, get into field goal range, and set up the team for an easy game winner FG attempt. By onside kicking it, the Steelers get a chance (should have been recovered too) of stealing another possession and running out the clock or scoring another touchdown to ice the game, and if they fail to recover, which happened, then Rodgers doesn't have the opportunity to run four minutes off the clock. The Packers scored with 2 minutes left, giving the Steelers offense an extra possession to take the lead. Clock management is such an underrated and important part of football and this game shows why.

      Kevin Prima Fat Ben isn’t even on Eli Manning’s level, and you have the audacity to mention that obese rapist bum in the same sentence with the God of the NFL AGod? ARod has zero pressure: 34 years old and only 2 injuries in 9 seasons as the starter. Ben is completely washed 36 years old but has already implicitly admitted he is going to retire the bum is so injury prone he missed last nights game because he slipped in practice and got another concussion. They didn’t even have pads on watch the footage. Ben only has 1 legitimate Super Bowl, the first title he threw for 120 yards with 3 ints and had the worst QB rating for any SB winner in history. He had an all time defense carry him from 2004-2012. Not one MVP, not one SB MVP, and the only thing he does that makes him better than a Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan or Philip Rivers is he throws for 4000-5000 yards a season from 2012-2016 because he is now in constant shootouts because his elite defense retired years ago. And Tomlin lets him throw 50-65 times a game. Aaron has 7-8 years of MVP play left. Ben is done after the Cheatriots beat you bums again in the playoffs. AB is old now at 31, Bell is leaving next year and is 28 pretty soon archaic for running backs that get 400 touches a season, and Martavis is gone. Good luck with JUJU as your best option, the Bengals are going to try to paralyze him (Vontaze) 💯

      A "god" of the NFL would have more than one ring to his credit. "AGod" is still living (and will continue to do so) in Brady's shadow, and nothing is going to change that. And it doesn't matter if YOU consider it legitimate or not, Ben still has more rings than Aaron does. And not on Eli's level? Are you sure? Better QBR, completion pct, and although Manning has 10 more TD passes, he also has 54 more INT's so, the TD-INT ratio is in Ben's favor, too. And the only guy you listed that has fewer 4,000 yd+ seasons since 2012 is Flacco. Ben has surpassed 4k 3 times since 2012, Rivers has done it 5 times, and Ryan 7. As far as pass attempts go, guys like Brees, Brady, and Eli average way more pass attempts than Ben does. Oh, and he only threw 2 picks in that SB, btw. Basically what i'm getting at here is, if you're going to bash a guy, at least be accurate in doing so.

      @@hassanlewis4856 No clue why this is so confusing to you so i'll say it so clear that even a Steelers fan can understand... You said there is 'no quit in my steelers' after watching the highlights of this 1 game. i then pointed out that the steelers quit many times that very same season, as shown by the graphic in this very same highlight when they showed how they lost many games in the last few seconds. .. hence..they quit...which doesn't align with your "no quit" theory.
      you said they dont quit..steelers said..we quit like 10 times that season... understand?

    2009 was an odd year for the Steelers defense. It was sandwiched in between the 2008 and 2010 historic defenses, idk what happened to them in 09, maybe the SB hangover, but I believe it was losing both Aaron Smith on the Dline and Polamalu in the secondary is why they fell off in 09

    • @PENS68
      @PENS68 5 лет назад +1

      2009 The Steelers let so many games slip away, that they should have won, Game in Cincinnati, Game in Kansas City, Game against Oakland, Game in Chicago. Literally four plays separated the Steelers from a 9-7 record to a 13-3 record. That's a game of inches. They were terrible at closing out games in 2009, which is why they finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs.
