Coach Dick LeBeau preached hustle on turnovers every time. Like PREACHED it. And you can see it in this game on both of those turnovers. Most defenses are just happy to get the turnover and get off the field. Not this one they wanted all of it every time
2-0 Pit at halftime & 16-6 final. Pit outgained the Vikes 333-119, with 249 of those yards being on the ground for Pit. Vikes turned it over 5 times. Pit used the same formula the Dolphins used the year before where they ran for 196 yards & Bob Griese only had to try 7 passes the whole game, completing 6 for 63 yards. Bradshaw was 9-14 for 84 yards. The lines of the 4 teams the Vikes lost to just whipped around their comparatively scrawny D-line & ran at will on them. Not very iconic. More like pathetic
