If I had to build a roster from all the players in NFL history, my first pick would be Troy Polamalu. Every other position can be argued back and forth, but Polamalu redefined his position. He was a guy who could be on the line of scrimmage showing blitz (and he was a devastating blitzer) then dart back into the secondary at the snap and run with any receiver without losing a step. He had hands like velcro and hit like a freight train. There was no way to gameplan against that.

I see your ERA is the Ben era which is the same for me #14 is way too high #6 could be slightly higher although tough since the top 5 are pretty solid at least you got #1 right :) I was at the 2nd of the back to back 6TD games was at the one in 2017 as well the 39-38 win nice video really enjoyed it :)
Been a fan since 94 (first game I remember is chargers AFC championship sadly) so I'll add to the list -95 colts hail mary for the super bowl -02 wildcard comeback against Cleveland - probably the most exciting game I watched live. It wasn't the typical team collapse, Clevelands offense was unstoppable the whole game. -Roethlisberger shoestring tackle 05 against colts -05 superbowl parkers TD and Randle els pass (amazing plays in otherwise boring sb)
The number one moment was the single most important of my life thinking back on all those old great plays gets me through a lot of hard shit. Thanks very much
Literally all of my favorite Steeler memories were when I was a kid during the 70's, and their run of four superbowls in six years. Nice list regardless.
Kudos for posting your top 20 since you first started watching the Stillers in 2008. All four of my grandparents are from Western PA, as is both my mom and dad and I was born there (my brother still lives in Pittsburgh as does my Aunt.) My first memory of a Super Bowl was SB IX - when the Pittsburgh D beat up Fran Tarkenton to win their first SB. I was 11 years old. One of my favorite Steeler memories: way back when the Pro Bowl was the AFC vs the NFC - the AFC defense was on the field and 7 or the 11 helmets were Steelers: Mean Joe, LC and Ernie on the line, Lambert and Ham as 2 of the 3 backers, and Blount and Wagner in the secondary. It was awesome. Also - will fondly remember Jack Lambert decking a Cowboy in SB X for patting Roy Gerela on the head after Roy missed a FG. Cool thing about that: back in 1976 that drew no flag.
Wow bro, just AWESOME. It's like you are literally a clone of myself cuz this would be pretty much my list too. This was my golden era in life and even got one whole side of my ribs tatted with my own design to represent 2009 (super bowl and stanley cup). Ill explain... I grew up an hour and a half drive from Pittsburgh but got a huge break from my trade school and landed and awesome job in the burgh and lived there 6 years. So i was in attendance at Heinz field for the Mendenhall walk-off, the polamalu finger tip pick (i remember the san diego fans next to us. Good people but couldnt understand how we could stand the cold with just a long sleeve and a jersey while they looked like the kid from a Christmas Story). Was there for the Ravens win where Brown pinned the ball to his helmet for the clutch catch (I remember this because my buddy had season tix and since i put him on his feet in the city and he got very successful, he invited me when his girl dumped him. Then a week later being a typical B class woman, she wanted to go to the Jets AFC championship game. My buddy was torn but i told him go ahead cuz i had a good job and spent 600 on my own tickets for me and my girl and we all pre-gamed in Southside together then caught the ferry over). Leading to the AFC championship game. The year "black and yellow" by wiz khalifa was a smash hit and he performed it, the whole crowd of us singing "the steelers are goin to the super bowl" in unison after the game ended. I was there for maybe one or two more and i remember EXACTLY where i was for all the others like it was 9/11, whether it was a bar, my apartment with friends, or the Super bowl win against the Cards i was at Pitt university in Oakland. Go ahead and look up the carnage after that game. I used to have my own epic footage of the city-wide party, but I've never been good and preserving memories as I tend to live in the moment and move a lot. Anyways, not trying to write a novel here, just this video was very personal to me (which the tat represents) of all the amazing times i had 6 years living in Pittsburgh and a lifetime fan. Im back in my hometown now with a daughter but boy, not a single clip on this list was unfamiliar to me. I was either in the stadium or somewhere special to me with good people. Thanks for posting!!!! Oh, I also met Sydney Crosby and Max Talbot and got their autographs and my gf at the time and I got to BS with them amd shake hands when i was scheduling my first tattoo. Still have the autograph framed, attended game 4 (the turning point) of the stanley cup, and was in Southside for that city party. Me and some friends caught a cab into the city after watching the Cup win from my North Versailles apartment (I lived in NV, Munhall, amd southside respectively). God damn is this so nostalgic.
Imagine if we had the 2019 defense with killer b’s offense. We would have a legitimate shot of going undefeated. We’d average atleast 34ppg and hold opponents to 12ppg. Yikes 😳
$70m, great team, great fans, friends, legacy, potential Super Bowl run... all given up for an unknown free agency contract. Guess for some people money trumps everything. With an attitude like that, good riddance.
P. N. Only 10 million guaranteed, which is terrible for a running back. Ask Alex Smith the importance of guaranteed money. Mark my words: hes going to get the biggest contract ever in NFL history.
Ryan Henson. Ok, $70 with 10m guarantee. Regardless, he picked money over everything else. If you think the Steelers wouldn't have taken care of Bell if he gets injured, then you don't know the Steelers. Ryan Shazier is still receiving support from the organization. Heck, the Steelers supported Bell through his injuries AND suspensions.
Shawn Vagnier no the first time he used the other guy as a blocker and for balance and the second time neither of them were paying attention there. I'm sure those guys are ok that they fell down because without them, especially the first time, there might've not been a TD
Paul Z Ravens supporter right here Steelers made some plays there were also plays made against them. PS it only took my team 16 years to win two Super Bowls....it took the Steelers 4 decades to win a playoff game
@Atheos B. Sapien not exactly the Colts were never a team I supported, they have been in Indy for 35 years. The thread commented about the plays Pittsburgh made against the RAVENS and Cincinnati. There from Baltimore or not no need to leave them out or drag them in.
@Atheos B. Sapien never said I was important at all just answered your question. Myself and Paul Z had a friendly back and forth months ago. RUclips is not a Pittsburgh site. Don't know who you are or what a troll is either. Don't start stuff your fist can't finish
@Atheos B. Sapien ok now I get it....Troll: a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses[2] and normalizing tangential discussion,[3] whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain. THAT WHAT YOU ARE. They also forgot that you eat a lot of nachos and beer. your butt crack hang out of your pants and you have sexless life. BOY BUH BYE
@jushua Darkar Thank you for this video!! This was a breath of fresh air that you did this from you personal viewing of games and not just a remix of the same clips that everyone posts. I have been watching the Steelers religiously since the 1980s.
The Steelers FEAR no one!!!!! Against THAT TEAM........it has been shown time and time again....they do not play SMART STEELER FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite part about the Troy strip Woodley recovery is that Troy got back up and almost threw the key block to to send Lamar to the house, what a freak athlete. As a Steel City native I bleed Black and Gold for the Steelers and The Pens, and this is a great video.
Sean, you have the OBLIGATION to be a Steeler fan! And the rest of us with a Black and Gold heart and soul we have the PRIVILEGE! Greetings from a place that you know it's part of Steeler Nation, perhaps you've met us in Three Rivers & Heinz Field, Mexico City.
“The only time I’ve seen the Steelers beat Tom Brady” *when there multiple games where Tom Brady’s ass was handed to him on a plate by the Steelers but ignores it*
Agreed. Just a superb athlete with football skills. Would not matter what position you put him on the field, dude could just ball out. My favorite two during this era were Polamalu and Kiesel. They were two crazy sobs along with Harrison. Total disregard for their own bodies, wanted to dish out pain (the only way to play defense). Wish we still had a core like that on defense. Were a delight to watch.
I had to come to this video because I loved the title of the video, no bullshit. Saying that it is "your" favorite moments gets you a like from me. I also hate the steelers, so I am not going to watch it sadly.

you were about to make me lose my mind until you put in the immaculate extension ! AB, whatever he has done to his life and legacy was an artist with our steelers. man he was great. love this video !
I see your ERA is the Ben era which is the same for me
#14 is way too high
#6 could be slightly higher although tough since the top 5 are pretty solid
at least you got #1 right :)
I was at the 2nd of the back to back 6TD games
was at the one in 2017 as well the 39-38 win
nice video really enjoyed it :)
Great compilation. These vids made me miss Troy! He was so dynamic and fun to watch.
LOVE THE STEELERS FAN FOR LIFE FROM CINCINNATI
Doug Combs SAME
Life must be hard for you guys over there, I’m from South Texas so I deal with a lot of annoying Cowboys fans.
DON'T Know--my condolences.
Because the Bengals suck.
Rough life you must have in Cincy! I take my hat off!
Been a fan since 94 (first game I remember is chargers AFC championship sadly) so I'll add to the list
-95 colts hail mary for the super bowl
-02 wildcard comeback against Cleveland - probably the most exciting game I watched live. It wasn't the typical team collapse, Clevelands offense was unstoppable the whole game.
-Roethlisberger shoestring tackle 05 against colts
-05 superbowl parkers TD and Randle els pass (amazing plays in otherwise boring sb)
Willie Parker 75 yard to run in the Superbowl.
This guy clearly started watching in 2008. Someone should post an addendum with the best of the Comber era.
Randle El to Hines Ward. First WR to throw a TD in a super bowl
Russell Hobbs “FAST” willie parker son!!!!
The number one moment was the single most important of my life thinking back on all those old great plays gets me through a lot of hard shit. Thanks very much
"WHAT A HEADS UP PLAY!"
"Well, that's illegal."
hahaha.
Literally all of my favorite Steeler memories were when I was a kid during the 70's, and their run of four superbowls in six years. Nice list regardless.
Chills. I miss Troy and Hines though.
That San Diego game was my first Steelers game I ever watched
Edit: the one with le’veon bell, game winner
Is this the greatest video in the history of RUclips? Joshua Dakwar is an absolute genius!
Great vid 👍👍....I miss Troy!!😢
Dont we all
Ya we kinda need a safety
i do to my guy
This was a great video. I remember each and every play! Polomolu was the greatest defensive player ever!
Antonio Brown's helmet catch is one of my all time favorite moments
Immaculate reception
Kade Jaramillo should have been #1
Your #12 is my #1. I have a homemade poster of it hanging in my house. Man I miss watching Polamalu play. Brings a tear to my eye.
Imagine if we had the 2019 defense with killer b’s offense. We would have a legitimate shot of going undefeated. We’d average atleast 34ppg and hold opponents to 12ppg. Yikes 😳
Bills are going to f**king destroy you lmao.
I think it might be closer than a lot of people think.
These clips are bringing me back, man
21. Le Veon abandoning the team to party in Miami
Yea, he abandoned them. Lol. STFU. Its 10s of millions of dollars
22. AB leaving
What a great highlight reel, Josh. Thanks for the memories.
AB knocked down his teammates both times 😂🤦🏾♂️
Actually the teammate lushes himself to it the teammate was balancing ab
So he wont fall
I noticed that too. Even when he caught td cathes he still found a way to be a dick about it lol
AB gonna knock down anybody that’s in his way.
Shawn Vagnier no the first time he used the other guy as a blocker and for balance and the second time neither of them were paying attention there. I'm sure those guys are ok that they fell down because without them, especially the first time, there might've not been a TD
Excellent compilation of recent Steeler greatness!
Great vid subbed and liked man steeler nation!!!! BLACK AND GOLD💯💯💯
I bet some of these are really painful for Cleveland Baltimore & Cincinnati fans to watch
@Atheos B. Sapien ok now I get it....Troll:
a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses[2] and normalizing tangential discussion,[3] whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain.
#1 whether you saw it live or not (I did) will always be the Immaculate Reception.
Not a Steelers fan, but this made me happy. Great compilation.
I really wish Dennis Dixon panned out for us
Ive been blessed to watch all of these live
Let's just take moment of silence and pray to the good Lord that the Steelers will not bring those bumblebee uniforms back.
setdrec the only thing that almost made me doubt my love for the Steelers 😂
It's a good list buddy. Thanks for letting me relive those good memories.
Polamalu was a beast our defense was a lot better back then when we beat the Patriots. Now we just can't keep up with them. It's the only team I fear.
We can keep up, just can't make as many mistakes. We were in almost every game we lost.
The Steelers FEAR no one!!!!! Against THAT TEAM........it has been shown time and time again....they do not play SMART STEELER FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nchchhucyhgd j begs chjbdt h g dj day of the most popular black and I am gn🙁💜💢👅💢💛🖓💕😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😪
@@blakemiller308 🤔
My favorite part about the Troy strip Woodley recovery is that Troy got back up and almost threw the key block to to send Lamar to the house, what a freak athlete.
As a Steel City native I bleed Black and Gold for the Steelers and The Pens, and this is a great video.
I have the right to be a Steelers fan cause I was born and raised in Pittsburgh.
Who says you cannot be a Steeler fan?????? Just make sure you support them during the bad times. !!!!!!!!!!!
I was born and raised in Pottstown PA witch is like 2 hours I think from Pittsburgh.
Honestly watching this video made me miss football so much!! Some of my favorite moments as a fan as well gotta love those steelers👍
When u watch that Mendenhall run...how did he not last longer?
He is part of rigging sports game .wake up people
NFL games are scripted Harrison superbowl pick six was script watch the original game clip . Kurt Warner knew he would be there . Wake up
I remember watching almost all of these live. Great video
“The only time I’ve seen the Steelers beat Tom Brady” *when there multiple games where Tom Brady’s ass was handed to him on a plate by the Steelers but ignores it*
well they said "I've seen" so maybe they didn't watch those other games
Awesome list, mate. I have nothing to add to the list. You did an awesome job.
You have gotta update it bc Steelers just took a W against Tom Brady!! Let’s gooo
I saw this on my recommendation page. Thank you for blessing me. Lol lets get 7 baby
TROY POLAMALU NOT ONLY THE GREATEST STEELER BUT THE GREATEST I SEEN PLAY FOOTBALL
Mike Davis hehe
Damn. The immaculate reception is outside your top 20? That's amazing.
I had to come to this video because I loved the title of the video, no bullshit. Saying that it is "your" favorite moments gets you a like from me. I also hate the steelers, so I am not going to watch it sadly.
Great highlights. Thanks for the memories.
#1 team Go steelers!
Thanks Josh...warms my heart. Thank you.
So were all going to ignore the fact that James Harrison ran up to put his nutz on Mendenhalls back?
you got me there
That was awesome sir, brought back alot of great memories. Thanks
? why they get rid of Holmes, but holding on to Bell ?
Shirl E If I remember correctly Holmes had a domestic issue.
God Bless you for this compilation!
This is the better catch since joe to dwight in 81 cc
