Seeing all these Troy Polamalu plays just remind me of how hyped I got watching him as a kid. That was my first Steelers jersey and became my favorite Steeler for life
I'm a Raider Nation guy, but I know that you have many more great plays than these. Lambert, Blount, mean Joe, LC, those guys made tremendous plays all the time. The 76 Steelers defensive unit was the Best defense I've ever seen. They recorded 6 shutouts and were awesome! They were banged up on offense, so mean Joe Greene called a meeting players only, and said "since we can't score on offense we're going to outscore em on defense" they then won 8 straight games with 6 shutouts. The Raiders won the super bowl though.
Polomalu always puts a smile on my face, after saying that I don't know what happened to Juju Smith Schuster he just doesn't seem to care about the game anymore
I just LOVE William Gay. He makes great plays, he does a lot of Pick 6. Off the field he is very active about domestic violence and contributes a lot of time and money to this cause. Just overall a GREAT Player....won't make HOF but GREAT Player!!!
I guess that was too long ago for this video. Instead #1 is a play against the Colts. How many people can name the year and the game that this occurred? Everyone knows The Immaculate Reception.
Cowboys fan but,the admiration I have for the Rooney family and this tremendous organization is real,1st class all the way. The Immaculate reception better be #1
2:35 I was watching that Pitt vs SD game live when Troy made that one handed int in the snow.. best catch I’ve ever seen. Forever a steeler great💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I'm not a Steelers fan but even I know that you haven't shown a tenth of your best plays, Joe Greene, Blount, Lambert, LC, swan and stallworth, those guys made great plays when the NFL played real football 🏈
You're exactly right and even before the seventies guys there was a cornerback Dwayne Washington who had a four interception game including one return for a touchdown to win it

No Mel Blount, Jack Ham, No Mean Joe Green?, Only one Franco Harris?, No Jack Lamber?, No Kevin Green (rip), One Bus?, Lots of fun but not of all time.
Can't agree more with you tim. I was thinking that I'd see most comments complaining that this video is mistitled. It should be: "Steelers Best Plays of All-Time post Tommy Maddox".
As far as historic goes, I think there are three plays that stand out as the Steeler 'plays of all time' with one honorable mention...1) Immaculate Reception, 2) Big Ben to Santonio Holmes, and 3) James Harrison end-to-end interception return. Honorable mention is Big Ben's tackle against Indy to save The Bus's Super Bowl season.
I'm a lifelong Steelers guy from the Midwest (too many Bears and Packer fans, :)). I remember ALL the guys from the 70's and 80's as "rockstars", but Troy, TJ and some of those guys are on a new level, too. I'm still wearing my Bradshaw jersey on gamedays, though and waving the towels! Hawkeye alumni and still LOVE the story of how the Hawks got their colors of black and gold! ThanksTB and Hayden Frye!
pls add to it... the "over the shoulder" catch by John Stallworth from Super Bowl 14. The "stiff-arm" TD pass by Ben (he stiff armed Suggs) vs Baltimore Add at least one or two Rod Woodson tds... (a good one is the int ret vs the Bills on a Monday night in the 90's) Franco Harris' SB TD Run vs Dallas (SB 13 I believe) Jerome Bettis' big goal line run where he runs over several linebackers... Bell's Hurdle... Brown's karate-jump kick.. JuJu's hit on Burfict... The "goal line stand" on 4th down vs Denver at the end of the regular seaon in 1979 to beat the Broncos (they'd beat Denver even worse the next week in the playoffs). Gotta find a good iconic Jack Lambert play
For all the shit Ben gets for that first Super Bowl performance, they don't make it if not for one of the most heads up plays of all time at 1:35. When Jerome fumbles that ball, he doesn't panic and dive for it in a mad scramble, he knows he's completely out of position for that, starts back tracking and is 15-20+ yards downfield by the time Harper gets going, just enough to catch his foot, and save the game. He earned that ring as much as anybody on that single play alone.
Grew up in Southern Cal and have been a Steelers fan since they won their 1st Super Bowl back in the mid 70s and Big Ben was the best QB pick and he's been something to watch over the years especially those 3 games throwing over 500 yards..
Troy Polamalu is definitely one of the all time great safeties. I love looking back at all the big plays to end several of the Baltimore games. Good times!

3-1-2024, Andy Russel just passed away, he was 82. He was one of only two players that coach Noll kept, BACK IN 1969, Andy went on to win three Superbowl Rings with the Steelers. Rest in peace Andy.
Need to look deeper into the annals of the Steelers history - Before their glory days of the '70s and look into the eras when they were the "Same Old Steelers". While not many, there are some gems with names like Johnny "Blood" McNally, Jack Butler, John Henry Johnson, "Bullet" Bill Dudley, Byron "Whizzer" White, and Lynn Chandnois
You could make a 3 hour video of all the Steelers great plays. I still cringe when I watch Bettis fumble at the goal line & Ben saves the day with his one hand tackle. I started to breathe again when the Colts missed the field goal. Great video.
That’s how most Steelers games are they can beat really good teams by a field goal but they will do the same thing to bad teams I think the Steelers organization has a thing for killing Steelers fans early from heart attacks
fun fact, Wallace had only 2 receptions in that game, his second being the the game winning TD. His first? The Steelers first snap on offense, which also went for a TD.
I live in Tampa. Me n my son were at Kiesel's pik 6 game. Happened right before halftime I believe cuz whole lot of Bucs fans were leaving! 2nd half RJS was 90% black n gold!! It was awesome
I miss the days when the Steelers were a force. Mike Tomlin road the coattails of a great team that Cowher and Colbert put together and Tomlin's post season success has dwindled as those players faded away. Cowher knew how to hire assistant coaches to make the team better. It's obvious that Tomlin is to egotistical to do so. The Steelers will not be dominant again until changes are made at the top and the Rooney family needs to accept that. Tomlin says a lot of words but has little to show other than regular season wins. No one cares about that. We want championships or at least a fighting chance at winning them. Do better.
I'm issuing a challenge...in this video it shows Jerome Bettis fumbling a ball but it still appears in Steelers history as one of the best plays ever due to Bens amazing and honestly shocking tackle...I would like to know if any other team in the league could possibly do this as well...for example make a fumble or INT change the game
Wow, crazy the amount of young talent the Steelers have seemingly let go on recently and they've miraculously died off. Martavis Bryant, Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown (still plays fine, just can't stay on the field), Mike Wallace, etc.
