- Early action from the Cobra Warrior exercise at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire.
Participants include the Israeli Air Force F-15's, and Typhoons from Italy and Germany
some of the names of the israeli aircraft shown here for those interested:
tail number 733 is רץ המלך (Ratz ha melech), meaning "kings runner" or "kings messenger"
715 is שושנת הרוחות (Shoshanat ha ruchot) meaning "compass rose" or "rose of the winds"
980 is חוד החנית (Hod ha hanit) meaning "tip of the spear"
706 is כוכב הצפון (Kohav ha tzafon) meaning "the northern star"

Nirthern star is very popular it seems.
I see this name almost in every airforce album or show.
The most effective air force is the Israeli and its pilots are v. Highly skilled and experienced. Better than any other piolts in the world!
I'm lucky enough to live close by R.A.F. Waddington. It was so great to see the Israeli Air Force participating in this exercise there Star of David insignia painted on there jets .I hope the government lifts all boycotts imposed against Israel. They live in a region in which they are surrounded by hostile countries many of whom wish to see Israel destroyed. I hope these exercises including land and sea training will include Israel as a permanent member of this magnificent group of countries.
I am a huge fan of the IAF, in today's World,both the IAF and German Air Force are our allies, so I hope they are both
very capable.

@Daniel Marso 8:15 to 8:24 there is the answer to your question. If only you knew the quality of a trained IAF flight crew, not to mention an F-15 crew. The "Baz" jet itself has been maintained to the absolute highest standards, and modified and upgraded and uprated beyond recognition. These are no longer the same jets the US sold us.

IAF F-15I are from the Knights of The Twin Tail squadron, two of name that are visible are King's Arrow, North Star
They took part on "Operation Opera" in Iraq
Not F-15I's.
F-15C's and F-15D's. You can tell by the painting. F-15I's are painted "desert camo"
@SUomiist These are not F-15i. These are the older F-15 ( called Baz ). Highly modified and very well maintained first line air superiority fighters. The F-15i are completely different, they are heavy ground precision attack, very long range. Operated by the elite 69th "Hammers" Sqd.
The only squadron in the World with operational experience destroying a enemy nuclear reactor. TWICE.

Can someone tell me what are those bumps that are located behind the canopies and vents of those F-15I? Never seen them before on other Eagle variants.
Its a High Bandwidth satellite communications dome.

These are the legacy F-15s, not the F-15I. Locally referred to as the Baz.

They are F-15Bs and F-15Ds, not F-15Is. They are legacy F-15s (air-to-air) heavily modified by the IAF. The small bump that you see behind the cockpit is a satellite communications dome.
Excellent video of Cobra Warrior 2019. Great close-ups too. Wish the Avro Vulcan at 4:08 were part of the exercise. ;)
It would have been great if it hadn't been at Waddington - they were VERY unwelcoming to the spotters, and it was difficult to make an interesting video with various angles. Hope it will be back at Coningsby next year, and with german tornados!

Our F15s are flown in anger on a regular basis. With all due respect to other air forces, you are probably looking at the most experienced air crews in the world by far.

how does the German Air Force compare to the IAF ?
To put it simply: IT DOESN'T
Daniel Germany and Israel are friend , but Israel have huge tactical and battle proven experience, impossible is not for IAF who held world record in many war achievement, even the USAF 🇺🇸 have deep respect ✊ to the IAF and the USAF is the greatest AF of all time , luckily most close Ally of Israel.
I am german. But i read and heared already that the israel pilots are considered as the best in the word. Its mostly because they are always and alert and a lit of real combat experience
@@DerMessermann You are correct, but it was and still is out of neccesity. Compared to other air forces, Israeli pilots get to fly a lot. We maintaint a very high operational ability, but this has a price ןn heavy maintenance ( D-Check + IAI rebuilds ), jet fuel, and sometimes even accidents. 3 years ago a young pilot was killed when his F-16 flipped over after landing in Ramon Base. Since '73, the IAF have absolute air superiority in the M.E.
