    Ah head swaps. I loved doing that when I was just a kid. I even sawed off a stormtrooper head to put it on my han solo figure. good times... The only question I have is, why was I allowed to wield a saw when only 9. Oh man I miss the 80ies...

    Hello there, I am subscribed to ur channel. I admire ur bravery in terms of making custom Star Wars Kenner figures. I myself can not do the things u do. Apparently I have no talent or balls. Anyway, I had an idea I was too scared to attempt myself yet would love to see. So, here’s my request (naturally I thought of u & only u). Please boil & pop the black Bespin Guard’s leg(s) & boil & swap them for the preferred white Bespin Guard’s leg(s). I think this would make for an extremely good & interesting video. Sincerely, Jibber Jabber Action Figure.

    Is that a moulded face luke head? :) Have you ever swapped a plug neck head with a plug body? So drilling out a hole in the head? Wondering if that could work?

      i have done the peg in the head, drilling a hole in the head, but not done head into body drilling a hole in the body! never had the need to yet!

    Question,…? Can you swap ROTJ heads with those from Hasbro’s Kenner style figures, like the Mandalorian line?

    • @TrashCompactor
      @TrashCompactor  Год назад

      The Retro line heads are all peg heads (so have a peg that goes in to the body), so to fit on a ROTJ vintage fig you would need to cut of the peg and dremmel a hole into the head for it to fit on the pin :-)

    Does the boil method work on the trash compactor heads also?, ie do the resin heads soften in hot water too?
    Thanks

    • @TrashCompactor
      @TrashCompactor  Год назад +1

      Oh no, you cant soften Resin in water, once its cured its cured, heating or boiling would trash it!

    Do you ever find that putting the figures in boiling water damages the paint on them at all?

    • @TrashCompactor
      @TrashCompactor  3 года назад +2

      It’s not the hot water that causes damage it can be the tools you use. if everything is wrapped well or you use soft cloths then you will be ok. Traditional paint doesn’t tend to shift with water, they made these things to last!! :-)

    Can you boil and pop and swap from vintage to Stan solo figures too?

    • @TrashCompactor
      @TrashCompactor  2 года назад +1

      Yes totally, just stick them in a cup of hot water and then they will pop like vintage figures :-)

    Is it possible to swap arms?

    • @TrashCompactor
      @TrashCompactor  3 года назад +1

      Yes totally possible you can also pop and Boil them, it’s just very tricky getting them back in, it’s done a few time in some of my other videos.

      @Trash Compactor I have a couple of beater figs I ordered on their way to me -- expressly for this experiment. I never liked the Bespin Lando head, and your videos have inspired me to act 👍🤞

    • @carlo2384
      @carlo2384 2 года назад

      @Trash Compactor UPDATE: boil and pop head swap of Bespin Lando and Skiff Lando is a success. They have almost identical neck posts, and no modification was needed. A serious improvement. Bespin Lando finally looks suave after 40+ years...

    I have that type of Endor Luke (with the Jedi head)
    Do you know how "common" this custom type is, or if it actually could be a factory error. (yes, its an odd question 😄)
    I bought him online from a Swedish seller, and for some odd reason, I think that us sweds dont tend to do customs to the same extent as in the US.
    He is also one of the "Last 17" that people seems to dont wanna temper with to much.

    • @TrashCompactor
      @TrashCompactor  2 года назад +1

      I dont think they were made like that as there was a bit of a gap between their production, so you may of had someone do a head swap!
