Hi! I shoot Right and My daughter shoots left and we just started. If I want to align her sight can I do it with my right or should I try with left eye?

I saw an interesting video that recommends reversing the sight and lining up the pin with the string for lateral calibration.

Just wanted to add two other methods that are useful for sight to bow alignment:
Put the sight extension in backwards facing towards yourself/the string. Now you have your sight pin very close to the string and are able to line them up on both sides of the sight sled. (Only works if the sight is machined well)
Another Method: take a vertical (use level) strip of paper as target on low distance. Shoot at it with 18 and 70 m sight setting. Compare your left and right grouping

I always use a very thin piece of leather under my block against my riser. It helps it from scratching the riser from the screw marks and offers a nice snug fit for the block.

Yeah in this video the long stabilizer was confusing me at first because it is aligned with the arrow point and the sight, but finally I can see the way you set them.

Great informative videos . I do have a question about what is the purpose of the extension? You set your site up at the end of the extension I’m curious as to why or when you set it up in the middle or front . I’m just starting and have seen many different locations on other bows at the range , cheers

I think your setting's methode are usefull before drawing the string.
Because it would form the new plane while drawing to maximum draw length, it could be another different plane than before.

When you attached the horizontal bar to the vertical bar of the sight, it was screwed right in the middle of the vertical bar. I assume that is the default starting point. Just wondered what might cause you to move the horizontal bar up or down from the default(?) central position........

A simple way to check if the sight apature is aligned with the plane of the bow is to turn the sight-bar around 180 degree, so the sight apature almost touch the string. Fasten sight-bar, then use the "quick" adjust for elevation. Move the apature with elevation quick adjust from top to bottom. If string and sight is paralell from top to bottom your ok. If its not inline you need to figure out if its the sight mount/ sight that is out of plane or limbs or a mix of everything. Good luck.

Using double sided tape (spinwing tape) on the sight stick a credit card 💳 with the magnetic parallel to the string. I’m unable to precise with any terms where to stick it but is on the back of the track on shibuya sights. is quite obvious. Card will also rest on the sight.
The magnetic band on the card offers a perfect contrast to align the card with the string

Hi Ashe,I notice you have a wing nut for your left right movement, I use a thumb screws on mine. Is that for a quicker coarse adjustment?

It is! Good eyes! It’s always at the most inconvenient time that you need to do the coarse adjustment isn’t it?! 😂 so I decided to modify it.Great minds 😁 It’s so good 👌

Actually, the best material to prevent the screws from coming lose is clear nail polish. It won't cause corrosion, but they won't
    come lose and easily removed.

@@blainclatworthy5423one of the main benefits of thread locker is corrosion protection. It’s the number one thing mechanics reach for when we need to make sure a fastener doesn’t get rusted or galvanized or any kind of corroded in place. Don’t use excessive amounts and only use blue and you’ll be fine. Idk where these corrosion causing claims are coming from I’ve used the stuff for decades and it works perfectly.
