Good review.
I agree it has an excellent camera, and the dynamic tracking is very ordinary.
Pro settings in log and an extended flight time battery would also be welcome additions.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, I completely agree with you on that-especially a battery with extended flight time, even if it takes it a tiny bit over 250.

One of the best reviews I have seen! well done!
That means a lot coming from you Ney. Thank you. 🙏🏻
@@DroneSyndrome I tell like it is, no BS! your review is really good!

Great review with a bunch of important informations. I couldn't decide between the dji mini 3 pro and the autel nano plus. Thanks to your review I was able to make a decision for myself. It will be the autel nano plus.
Thanks, I tried to get in as much basic information on the Nano as possible. I’m glad that you found it informative and that it helped you to make your own final decision on which one to get. Both are fantastic 250gram drones. Cheers!
I have owned my Nano plus since December of 2022, and I learned more tech information from you than almost a year of other videos and the manual. Thank you so very much!
Hi Mark, thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it. I’m glad that some of my content has helped to inform you on the tech. I try to do my best, as best as I can. Thank you again for your support and I hope you consider subscribing to the channel my friend, it helps.
Excellent night time shots! I really like how it has a cooling fan to not overheat. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Thanks Jeremy! It has a phenomenal camera for its size and weight class. And having a cooling fan is necessary to keep it all cool inside, especially when your operating under different frequency bands. It’s basically that irradiating energy that makes it heat up, apart from all of the internal processing going on inside. Thanks again for watching! ❤️
Thanks for this review. I've had this drone for about the same amount of time. I like the drone a lot but I have to agree with about 99.9% of your review! I do not like the tracking feature. My drone tried to give me a haircut at least twice the only time I tried to use this feature. They can keep it. I trust my Mini 3 Pro much more! Thanks again.
Hey, Thanks for tuning in! Yeah, Autel really messed up there with the Dynamic Tracking. The tracking on Mini 3 Pro is how it was supposed to be on the Nano+.
@@DroneSyndrome no wayy.... I wouldn't trust autel to be THAT good....mini 3 pro over delivers there
@@Matanumi Why? I do. Remember that time when Autel sued DJI over them stealing some of their designs, etc.?.... I think that Autel Robotics released their Nano+ ahead of DJI in a rush to get into the sub250g category after Hubsan’s failed release of their Zino Mini Pro. Autel also failed with the Nano Plus by releasing prematurely and not refining it on time with the necessary firmware upgrades. DJI was observing all of these flaws and issues behind the scenes and taking notes before they went ahead and released the Mini 3 Pro-which yes, is an amazing drone but that doesn’t mean that the Nano+ is not. It just wasn’t planned right by Autel Robotics that’s all. And they lost a lot of customer confidence bc of it in the beginning. Also, keep in mind that they (Autel) are a relatively small company next to DJI with less staff and resources when it comes to mass manufacturing. I think they deserve some credit for what they do at the level they’re at.
@@DroneSyndrome 10-4! I have to agree here! Autel bit off more than it could chew but overall, not the worse drone manufacturer. I lost confidence due to broken promises and how the have dropped drones (Autel Evo 1) like a pan of burnt hamburger when the Evo 2 came out. I hated that happening and refused to buy another Autel drone until the Nano Plus came out and I didn't have Geo-fencing to contend with which was the biggest reason I bought one. Still, I lack confidence in Autel and to date, they still are slow in keeping promises.
Thank you for sharing this information. This was exactly what I was looking for. The Nano+ goes here in Europe for 700 Euros for the Premium Bundle atm. Once again, thank you and may God bless you and your family.
I´m also very happy with my nao+ and agree with you in all facts you made in your review 👍
Have one and love it and flew it at zero degrees with no problems
How is the "follow" ? I watched a Captain Drone review , he was moving through trees and Nano could not maneuver ?? I'm trying to choose, thank you.

Amazing hope to own one someday thanks for sharing
Thanks. I hope one day to be able to give one away. 😊
Awesome review of an awesome little drone.
Thanks my friend! 😊
Very good review. Thank you. It appears that the Nano + has an equivalent of DJI's AirSense (ADS-B). Planes appear in the radar in the lower left in this video. I see you are using the same landing pad I use. Heavy enough not to be affected by wind, but folds easily for backpack storage.
super drone! like a spring, does not get damaged easily and great camera ! I wish they will come up with another version
Unfortunately they will not. The Nano is the first and last of its kind as I have been told.
@@DroneSyndrome Is Autel leaving the consumer market?
@@kenweller2032 They will be focusing most of their energy and resources on the commercial and enterprise sector. But there will still be support for the Nano and Lite series. Now, will they be producing anymore consumer drones in the future?... That I don’t know.
I fully agree. Nice drone, not perfect, but no consumer camera drone is. Love the clarity of the camera and the dynamic range in HDR. Night vision is great. Yes! A larger capacity battery would be great if Autel Robotics can manage it. Plus this little guy is not subject to the Remote ID going into effect later this year. To me that alone is worth the price. I'm not sure what's happening with the DJI Mini 3 with RID. I hope they have an option to turn it on and off but time will tell because it's clearly a capable Mini drone too. I'm hanging on to my Mini 2 because it won't have RID.
I am in agreement. All drones are not exempt from having issues every now and then. Not sure if Autel will consider making a larger capacity battery for the Nano+ but it would be great. As for RID, I think that all drones will have it at one point in time. The Mini 3 Pro and AVATA already have it. I personally would prefer not to have it on a sub 250gram mini drone being that it’s so small and irrelevant in the airspace and believe that it should be more for those drones that weigh 500grams and over which pose more of a risk to people and property, etc. But the future of consumer drones in general is going to dwindle in the years to come as Autel, DJI, Skydio, and others are moving more towards the commercial and enterprise side of things.
Awesome Video!!
Thank you! And I’m a new subscriber
Thanks man! I appreciate your comment and support.
Great review, I brought it and the Mini 3 Pro on our visit to Germany. I agree with most of the comments of basically a few software updates, this drone would be a real beast. My biggest gripe on mine at least, is, if it faces the sun, the OA kicks in and it won't move forward. I have to fly back backwards or sideways, other than that, I have no complaints.
Hey, thanks for your comment my friend! I always turn the OA sensors off whenever I don’t need to use them. This way it doesn’t auto stop in mid flight when flying towards the sun. Hopefully Autel will put out new firmware upgrades for it again soon.
@@DroneSyndrome ...save a little battery that way, too.
Great drone, I will say, however that the autonomous modes need wide open spaces. I recently bought one, updated all firmware and was trying some different modes. I had an orbit begin for about 20 degrees, then turn into a flyaway straight left, into a pole. Luckily I had extra props and they’re cheap so after repair and calibration it’s back up and running again. Too bad there’s no side sensors, I’d argue are more important than rear sensors.
EXCELLENT DEMO.
Very nice review 👍
Thanks my friend
TiL- nano + has the same camera hardware as the Hawaii p40
Some say it's oversharpening and it can be the software does that..... but MAN THAT CAMERA IS INCREDIBLE for the small sensor
It’s not over sharpening, it’s actually the high definition that makes it to appear over-sharpened. Yes, with firmware, they can add a sharpness setting or a blurring filter to it if they wanted to.
Super
the camera does look much better than my evo nano standard, wishing i spent the extra few bucks and got the plus model but i will eventually get the lite plus next
From what I’ve seen the Nano standard looks great! Yes the Plus version packs more punch but hey, if you get the Lite Plus you’re all set. No need to buy anymore drones after that-unless you’re planning on going full-time pro.
@@DroneSyndrome haha i wish but i have to keep the channel going with something to review, besides i kind of collect them...its like pokemon for me...gotta catch em all...lol
Yeah they’re 500 ish on EBay now and legit. They just don’t include a SD card (my seller anyway). Updated firmware and ran it through a quick set of tests, passed flawlessly. Tracking works but remember this is largely a low-yield gimmick for the most part. I can’t imagine people just tracking themselves all day. For the things that matters, including camera and stability, it’s a real star. At these prices it’s a no-brainer over dji.
Tracking is awful but it's shocking how affordable these units have become
@@Matanumi I agree about the tracking. I also have an Evo 2P and the tracking on it is erratic the last time I tested it over a year ago. I choose to not use tracking on the Autel drones until they get it really dialed in and update the FW to back that up. Otherwise really good tech.

Does it avoid power lines when rising up?
How many are starting to have the gimbal dampeners rot out of these drones?
Hello , very good review
So , i have the Autel Evo Lite+ , can you tell me please where you find the sticks holder ? I want to find something like this because the remote have not a place to put the sticks 😠
Thanks, I actually did a short video of the joystick holder you can see it here ruclips.net/video/4LSN9AlDj9Q/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I added a link in the video description where you can buy them
if it’s still available that is. Hope this helps.
Picked one up a few months ago when they came down to realistic prices(mid 5s for premium bundle). Been happy with it. Still photos are fantastic, especially in low light. Video is ok. For reference my older MA2 on a sunny day takes better video, can’t match the Nano’s still pics though. Wish someone would make better/quieter props for it.
Thanks for your comment. For a sub250 gram drone I think it’s fantastic. And yes, quieter/stronger props I think would definitely increase the performance on this quad. I highly recommend sending an email directly to Master Airscrew customer service requesting them to design such props for the Autel Nano Plus. Who knows, maybe they’ll consider it.
@@DroneSyndrome They responded and said they may be able to offer props for the Nanos in the near future. Fingers crossed.
@@g.donuts3551 That’s great. Let’s hope they make good on that.
Here in Greece the autel evo nano plus with the premium bundle was priced at 550 for a quite long time.
Euros? Wow
Before about 2 months
I wish there was a smart controller for the Nano +. Am I missing something? Tried using the Smart Controller for the ll but of course it didn’t work 😢
If I’m not mistaken, Autel said themselves that the Smart RC (SE) would be compatible with both Nano+ and Lite+ in the future. As for the larger Smart RC, I believe that it’s only compatible with the Autel EVO 2 Pro V3 series currently.
What track is that playing in background?
I forgot what its called but I found it online
Do mini 3 pro propellers fit nano?
No, unfortunately they don’t. But you can email Master Air Screw and ask them to consider making special propellers for the Nano+.
Good review. I was just about to pull the trigger on the Nano+ , but my only concern is the "follow me" obstacle avoidance compared to the Mini 3 (which seems flawless), on Mini3 , heating, weaker signal and lesser camara concerns me 😟
The “follow me” on the Nano needs improvement for sure but other than that it’s a very capable quad. The Mini 3 Pro has great tracking and other features plus excellent stability and high capabilities when it comes to the overall performance of the camera and flight characteristics. Yes, it does tend to heat up and I think that this can cause issues. But like I said, it’s up to you and your personal preferences. Both drones are great.
I just bought this for €333 (standard package, nano+)
There is a reason why Autel is selling the Nano+ for half it's original price. Not good in the wind, short battery life, and buggy software are deal breakers for me.
They have too much inventory that’s for sure. Despite everything you mentioned, I personally still like it. Thanks for your comment my friend.
What alternatives do you recommend?
The wire is plugged in on the front of your controller is this something you did on your own?
Hi, its actually a 3D printed joystick and cable holder that attaches to the RC. I did a video on it a while back here ruclips.net/video/4LSN9AlDj9Q/видео.html I also left a link in that video to the person who makes them.
@@DroneSyndrome this is very nice unit but he will not ship to the USA
@@paulboudreau6489 Yes he ships to the USA but shipping costs extra which is probably not worth it. Sorry.
Would you recommend mini 3/4 pro or Nano Plus?
For the price, the DJI Mini 3 or 4 are the best options as they are far superior in flight performance, flight stability, app performance and battery time. However, the Nano+ has an outstanding camera and lowlight performance and the transmission signal/range is very solid. The wind resistance is OK but not reliable in windy conditions but it’s definitely a great mini drone.
@@DroneSyndrome has firmware updates improved anything? Would you consider the Nano+ to be a complete package at this point? Since it was lacking on its release..
@@mostly.anything. Thanks for your comment. It has an amazing camera and rc/image transmission signal but it lacks in many other areas where the DJI Mini 3 & 4 surpasses it. Personally, I like the Autel Nano+ a lot despite the lacks. Do I recommend it? Sure. Do I like the price? No.
Yes, the past firmware has improved it a lot since I bought it for sure.
Appreciate your replies 👍
Also you didn't mention that it doesn't have geofencing.
Yes, you’re right. I did forget to mention that in my review and a few other things as well. Thanks
No worries, fantastic videos by the way.
Lol sweet channel name
I already send a mail to Stealth propellers if they are going to make so.e propellers for the Nano. If more People send a request maybe they do.
Great! I was told by them that they were developing them but some I know circumstances arose and they had to put it in the back burner. But I highly encourage people to contact them and I’ve left their email in the video description for any one who wants to send them a request for the Autel Nano Plus and Lite Plus. Thanks! 👍🏻
Odd seeing something called Nano+ REVIEW, Led me to think something new. This UAS came out a long time ago now.
Sadly Autel never finished the implementation of it's software side. No matter how good the hardware may be if It's only half baked it's NOT ready to consume.
My wife bought me this and a Mini2 last year. The camera is a little better on the nano+ but It just isn't as usable.
What’s odd about it? It’s just that-a “review.” Doesn’t matter if it came out 2 or three years ago, it’s my own review of it after months of using it. Yes, it’s a bit late but it is what it is. I don’t agree with you about the camera... the Nano+ surpasses the DJI Mini 2 in technology and cannot be compared to it. I do agree with you that Autel Robotics did take too long to put out new firmware upgrades and make it a completely finished product. That was a big mistake on their part but in my personal opinion, I think its a fantastic sub-250gram drone.
Interal memory 64gb.... uhhh no its doesnt? 😅
The manual itself states that it has internal storage.
The colors looks very bland. Do you need to color correct the footage.
It’s the original color, no color grade or correction applied. Although, you can do that if you want to enhance the look of the video
Though I've enjoyed my Nano Plus, The Autel company has put a bad taste in my mouth. They will not honor their own warranty on simple gimbal dampeners rotting out from Weak rubber . My drone is 8 months old and useless at this point.
Well that's lame that's a problem exclusively to you
Year old nano dampeners work just fine
Battery life 23 minutes?
No thanks.
Yeah, I wish they would’ve made it at least 28-30 minutes. That would’ve been great.
Appreciate the info, but maybe a different approach with the voice-over. -Super creepy.
