Love this 5-minute cardio workout Joanna. Not sure whether it's meant to be a warm up to something else but it's great as it is to get me moving first thing in the morning or even to do at lunchtime when I've been sitting in front of the computer all morning.
All of you who left crappy comments below why bother? There are several levels of fitness and if this is just a warm up for you then fine, but for me, I'm just beginning and I'd like to burn some calories with something for a beginner. I'm sure I will move on after this stops working but for now I'm thrilled to find something I can actually do without overheating.
My 30 minute workout....comfortable to do for people who are to lose 50lbs. This routine consists of only 3 different doable exercises. First, jog in place for 2 minutes at moderate speed. Second, do the Tabata 10 reps. Third, do the Mountain Climber after Tabata for 10 reps. This is one phase (Jog in place, Tabata, and Mountain climber). Do all for 30 minutes. Do it at your own speed. Increase the speed in the last 5 minutes. I lose up to 3 lbs (mostly liquid) of weight. Fun workout.
Guys a good way to make it more intense is to jog in place with ultra high knees while she's walking and when she steps to the side really take it low then almost jump back up.
@1968service The easiest to drop weights without exercise is--- cut down on food you eat. You can still eat the foods you love just cut the quantity in half and eat more often to keep you energized.

@Isbahali Yes ! But dont focus on loosing weight at your age, focus on being healthy. Also, do sports that you like, it will help you to stay active. Eat better, more vegetables and fibers (but it doesnt mean you cant eat chocolate at all xD) and you will feel better and better. I hope that i helped you :)
Ok , some parts are ok but I think if you want a strong workout with more meaning you should go to Club Energize TV as the technique is better for toning along with cardio, flexibility and strength. Yes you really can do this all in 10 minutes!
IT's good but i don't think she explains how to keep your posture for example there isn't much emphasis on the knee over toe or much about tight stomach muscles. But i figure it's good for beginners and a good place to start a work out. (:

Uhm probably not much considering that this is only a small portion of a workout. I'd say around 40-50 calories, probably less. But it's still better than nothing :)

Wow this is fun way to get exercise I usually run a few miles or play DDR for my exercise I'll add this to my list

@AndrewZaidan Im about 15 pounds overweight. I weigh 150 and im 5'3 and according BMi scale the highest healthy weight for me is 135.
