It is definitely very different kind of experience than China. I think most people don’t know enough about Pakistan to know how beautiful it is and how good the people are. Shannon captaining the boat is like a little who just got the key to the family car. So adorable. Alan, on the other hand…. “Meh”😅
What an adventure! I visited Pakistan back in 1960 during my hitched hiking adventure from Singapore to Europe and England. I love the northern part of Pakistan but unfortunately didn't visit the Hunza region nor the suspension Bridge. I had a good time while in Lahore, liked you, I was hosted by some local youths whom we met in the street and they took us around. Very hospitable people.!
Wow that sounds like a real adventure, i'm sure you have many incredible stories from your time hitchhiking around the world. Surely that calls for another adventure??

Hello from a Pakistani American. Just watched it with my Scott-Irish wife--your accent is even more interesting than her Southern accent! Thanks for the video!
Thank you! Alan and Shannon would definitely have a fantastic time exploring Pakistan. The country is known for its breathtaking landscapes, from the towering peaks of the Karakoram Range to the lush greenery of the Swat Valley. They can visit historical sites like the ancient city of Mohenjo-Daro and the magnificent Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. The local cuisine is also a treat, with diverse and flavorful dishes that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region. Enjoy the trip, Alan and Shannon!
Thankyou Alan, Shannon for being our Guest. If you ever need any assistance/help while in our Country please feel free to drop a message. May God Bless You.
Alan and Shannon, I am Pakistani and still enjoying your vlog. Being a Pakistani, I am thankful to both of you for showing true image of our nation to the world . Excellent!!
I studied at Strathclyde :) Uncle worked at Strathclyde. I drove around whole Scottish Highlands; it is really beautiful as well, like Northern Pakistan. Love from Karachi.
There's a zipline next to the bridge that you could have used instead of walking back. Ziplines are available on both sides for those who prefer not to walk over the bridge. In May 2024, I walked the bridge and then returned via zipline, capturing great action footage from both sides.
@@Alan_and_Shannon makes sense 😆 If it's open these days, visit Deosai from Skardu City. It's the second-highest plateau in the world, and it's a beautiful place.

Hey guys loving your vlogs, Pakistan is pretty amazing . You mentioned bagpipes in this video it is a well known and famous musical instrument of Scotland but it’s actually an invention that originated in Asia more precisely in ancient Persia now known as Iran , there it’s known as a ‘Ney-Anban’ a bagpipe wind instrument deeply rooted in ancient Persia but now its later adopted by many cultures throughout Europe & other parts of the world.last year I came here in this region but only to trek the k2 mountain. That Yak curry even I can guarantee you will love it because the meat you are tasting is of a very athletic quality animal that works hard on those mountains so will have good results owed to its flesh!great vlog keep up the good work !
Hey thanks for posting your adventures in Northern Pakistan. It brings back memories for me because this person went there two times and spent a total of eight and half weeks in Leh and Ladakh (northern India) which was just down the road from Hunza and Skardu (northern Pakistan). The scenery was pretty much the same with beautiful mountains, rivers and beautiful people. Northern India and northern Pakistan don't seem that much different from each, at least in terms of their geography. Go there before life passes you by. Highly recommended!
